Obviously, it's all too complicated Silversea. Will keep the one I've booked, but won't book another till all is clear, particularly the door to door scam.

So, I just wonder, is it human nature for us to come together as one group of human beings across borders etc, or is it our fate to separate and separate again into smaller groups. I've got no agenda here, but I do wonder about the answer. I've watched my particular protestant church split, and then split again, over differences I cared very little about over my, admittedly, rather long life. I wish I had a better understanding of philosophy, but I think it's time to open a 2nd bottle of sauvignon blanc & maybe do a crossword or sudoku...

My Dad from the South, Mom from Iowa, yes, De Moyn. Mom loaded us up in the station wagon every summer & out to the Midwest we rolled. Best sweet corn anywhere. Hellman's? OK in a pinch, but glad we have Duke's (N Carolina) or Blue Plate (Louisiana) to use around here. JP's food always looks so good! Curious fact (hope so anyway): Slavic languages do not have the definite article, for example "the" So if you hear a Ukrainian or Russian say, for example, "Please open door" its only because the "the" doesn't make sense to them (& maybe it doesn't make sense to me either now that I understand)

Hey, we've often discussed the beauty of Iceland here. Has anyone ever visited &/or seen Skalholt? I'm enjoying this video after some wine (was it 3? its Friday night & I've been called back to work for a month or so, so losing count on this Friday evening). Love watching the expressions on the artists playing strings in this video filmed in Skalholt. Maybe a 3rd visit to this Scandinavian isle is in order...

Yeah, don't think I want to follow this one too long. Part of the reason we cruise with Silversea is to get away from all the nickel and diming BS. It seems like our favorite (and so far, only cruise line) needs to remember the KISS principle. Keep It Simple, Stupid

I've lost any interest in ever visiting Russia. Their brief experience with democracy in the days of Yeltsin & others lost in time now. Let me know when Navalny allowed to actually lead the opposition party. Thinking of finding a cruise that includes the Baltic states, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania et al now. Feel the need to meet the people in these places.
