You are quite correct. Humans have been cruel to animals for centuries -
Favourite place ever visited whilst cruising?

I like this post very much -
I have no issue with them and actually enjoy a few on YouTube. Cruise with Ben and David is my favourite one. These fellas love their food. And always show what they are eating. They convinced me to try the French onion soup on Beyond. And I now love it. And can't wait to get back on board for more.

Nah. Not at all. There is so much to see and do on the ship, so when we are at a port I dont fancy, or somewhere we have seen previously, we may want to spend the time relaxing on a near empty ship. The other bars of which you speak, are not free. Also, a quiet port day on ship, helps recovery from errrrrrrrrr, the previous nights bar activity.

I really really disliked Santorini. I suspect it was revulsion at the treatment of the donkeys. How any self respecting human can ride one of those poor things up those steps is beyond my comprehension. Loved Kusadasi in Turkey. And Istanbul is incredible. I have a soft spot for Naples. -

Its an amazing place. Like stated above the cruise into Kotor is spectacular. Still thought Dubrovnik was slightly better. -
European Cruise, crew tip currency preferred?
DarrenM replied to Alphawolf's topic in Ask a Cruise Question
I had 40 dollars worth of turkish lira so I left that, I also left 40 euro too. I roughly worked out that I gave around 75 dollars. But as I dont carry dollars they get whatever I have. -
On the occasion I was with the future cruise rep, there was at least 6 kids upto around 11 I would say, looked they were playing a game of hide and seek, on Deck 4, running between future cruises and Cafe Al Bachio. There was no parents with them. Hence the comment from the Rep. She looked genuinely shocked. They were also playing in the lifts behind the Casino. Of course, if you take children on an 11 night cruise on a ship, with very little for kids to do, then I suppose this is all they have. It was such a bad look for Celebrity.

That was a mental summer in the UK. England does go football crazy if the national team does well. Wimbledon a bit too serene for most of us though. And if I remember right trump wasn't exactly welcomed with open arms so there was lots of protests. And I should remember the heat as that doesn't happen often.

I love staying on the ship in Port days. Ship is nearly empty and there is no forced fun taking place on the pool deck. Bars are still open, and so is the buffet. What's not to love?
