  1. The fella on celebrity beyond fancies himself as some sort of Latin american dancer(sorry my dancing knowledge is nil) Every opportunity he got he pranced about doing his weird walks etc. Seriously irritating. Have I mentioned that?
  2. depends on what you want I suppose. They irritate me immensely. They are more than a little responsible for the forced fun they try to get everyone to get involved in. And they seem eternally happy and energetic. Irritating in other words.
  3. So what? These hopelessly commited smokers cant smoke inside in 99.9% of places and they survive ok. Why should they be allowed to smoke inside a cuise ship? I wonder how many cruise lines would allow this once a non smoker sues after contracting cancer through passive smoking. I would at least send them my cleaning bill to rid ther clothes of the awful smell.
  4. isnt it just ridiculous that anywhere in 2023 allows smoking at all inside any room/buiding etc?
  5. Only had one overnight stop So the best is Istanbul
  6. It was easy. Celebrity beyond marked the route. Turns out it's a figure of 8.
  7. Not only that, after 5 days the match might be deemed a draw. Even if one team seems to be way ahead in the game. The joy of cricket
  8. Just come off beyond, and whilst on the cruise booked to go on constellation next May. Beyond is great, but we were on reflection last year and there is just something about the smaller older ships. Could be the balconies against the infinite verandas. Can't really explain it.
  9. Ah. Now a sticky wicket is to do with the dampness of the pitch. The balm sticks a little amd slows it down making it more difficult for the batter. So lunch and tea. In a 5 day match between two countries, called a test match. Each day is split into three 2 hour sessions. Morning afternoon and evening Lunch is take at 1pm for 40 minutes. Tea is taken at 3.40pm for 20 minutes. Unless there has been rain. Then lunch or tea might be later, but if there is no play in the morning but the weather is improving, they might take an early lunch, to help the pitch dry out and play a longer afternoon session. If it rains around lunch ot tea, they sometimes take an extended lunch or tea break. But no matter how much play has been lost, lunch and tea will always be there. It's the law.
  10. Excuse me. I want no kids anywhere near the running track. Nearly as bad as old people walking on it the wrong way and just not moving out of the way.
  11. being from the UK i find it strange that people cruise round it. For a number of reasons. You could drive across the whole of the UK, so much quicker than cruising round it, and see so much more. Its bloody cold, nearly all the time, and wet. You certainly wont see the best of the UK on a cruise. I would imagine the same could be said about Ireland. Dublin is fabulous, but its much better at night, aand by this time I would imagine those on cruises would have departed.
  12. we only take paracetomol and antacids. But they are more for the day after.
  13. On a side note I thonk I have covid now. Really bad cough. Left Celebrity beyond last friday. There was a lot of coughing people on teh ship, and about 7 days in they suddenly had people at the hand wash stations demanding people wash their hands prior to entering the Buffet. ( Yes, there are people that dont wash their hands) It just seemed peculiar that they started doing this a week in. or did they klnow sometihing? If I do have covid it will be for the 3rd time
  14. it really was. And even though England lost, we dont really mind because this england team are transforming the sport. And the aussues are very very good.
  15. Never saw signs like this on Celebrity beyond last week. What ship was this?
  16. Easy ls also known as a wrong ‘un, a googly is a type bowl in which the spin of the ball causes it to veer sharply to the leg side of a right-handed batsman. or a ball that looks like a leg-break when delivered but turns like an off-break
  17. cricket is easy to understand: You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out. When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game
  18. You are quite correct. Humans have been cruel to animals for centuries
