  1. Surprised to see the Santorini comments. Would it being late September matter? Or is it always crazy busy there?
  2. Port heavy cruise, I want to add a sea day to enjoy our suite on Odyssey, by staying on the ship at 1 of the ports. I’m considering Athens the most for this. The city itself doesn’t look appealing, and I’m already seeing a lot of ruins elsewhere. First time doing a Med cruise. ROME NAPLES CRUISING MYKONOS ATHENS EPHESUS SANTORINI CHANIA, CRETE CRUISING ROME
  3. I have 2 upcoming cruises. For the Caribbean I picked our ocean view balcony room on Wonder OTS, because we plan on spending time enjoying the balcony. The Greek Isles cruise is a very port heavy itinerary so booked an interior GTY on Odyssey OTS. Saves $424 over picking an interior room, and $1,600+ from choosing a balcony. We’re just using the room as a place to sleep, since we’ll be exploring places off and on the ship during the day.
  4. If you select the option to book a suite they answer the phone immediately. 🤫
  5. I believe Odyssey is the only Quantum class ship that doesn’t have the low ceiling main dining rooms. Can someone confirm this.
  6. If you think RCL is high, take a look at Airbnb. A lot of he listings on there are insanely high. Everything is more expensive compared to 2-3 years ago.
  7. I’ve seen a lot of complaints lately about food on here and Reddit. Is it mainly meat that’s not great, or the overall selection?
  8. Booked Odyssey for 9/2024 Greek Isles. Part of a 19 night return to Europe trip for my wife and I. We’re excited, spent 2 weeks in Rome for our honeymoon in 2011, and always wanted to go back. The seaplex and solarium look very nice on this ship.
  9. If you take a RC excursion in a tendered port like Santorini or Mykonos, are you required to tender back to the ship after the excursion? Or can you spend time exploring on your own after, and catch a RC tender back to the ship?
  10. Thanks everyone. I’ve decided to arrive in Rome a few nights early, go on the cruise, then stay in Florence 5 nights after. Flights out of Florence are the same price as Rome when I looked at October 2023. Air France connects in Paris, and from there directly back home.
  11. 1st night Rome 9 nights Greek Isle cruise aboard Odyssey of the Seas from Rome(Mykonos, Santorini, Crete, Ephesus, Athens, Naples) 2 nights Rome 3 nights Florence via train(see city and Tuscany) 2 nights Rome Will this be too exhausting or is it doable? Been to Rome before, so anytime spent there would be to relax and walk around a little.
  12. I don’t see the Kosher package on my cruise planner, only the above picture to reserve dinner. Thought reserving dinner at the bistro the first night might be a good way to avoid crowds at MDR and WJ.
  13. How did you find that out? My cruise is in February, hoping Solarium Bistro is open for everyone.
  14. Hope it’s not closed. I have a forward cabin, and plan on spending a lot of time in the solarium.
  15. Solarium Bistro doesn’t show up anymore on the app for my February Wonder cruise. Previously it was under dining, had hours and dinner menu. What happened?
  16. What do you think of Cloud 17 replacing the Solarium for adults on Icon of the Seas?
  17. I noticed this too. Excursions are available when the ship is not in port.
  18. Don’t listen to the travel agent. Download the Royal Caribbean app on your phone. You can reserve my time dining times on there, and view menus for each day. You’ll need the app to book shows once onboard. Ship Wi-Fi is free for app use.
  19. For my upcoming 2/2023 WOTS cruise, there’s several excursions available for St. Thomas that don’t make sense. They end hours after the ship leaves(5:30 excursion ends, ship leaves 3:00). Others arrive back at 2:30, barely enough time to board. Are these times just an error they’ll fix later? Does anyone worry about not getting back from an excursion before the ship leaves? Is 1 hour enough time to be back, if going to St. John in the morning?
