  1. The afternoon with the whales was a highlight that we will ALWAYS remember. It was simply outstanding. Some were so close, I could have thrown a snowball (well maybe a baseball) and be able to hit them they were so close. They seemed to even be playing with us. It gave you a feeling of being one with nature. A little over the top, but it captures the essence.
  2. Your weather this day was better than ours, but there was much discussion on the ship about you missing the Falklands.
  3. You ask tough questions. For us, we got enough. We understood going in that there were other options, much smaller ships that gave a much more (immersive shall we say) experience. For several reasons, for us, this was the perfect fit. If you (or anyone) really want to have that experience, and all that it entails (for us, some positive and some negative), than that is a different option. You actually sum up what our cruise was. A trip to Antartica, with a cruise built around it. I may be wrong, but I believe that is exactly what Celebrity was doing in building this type of trip. No diss taken. We had long conversations about what we really wanted and the plusses and minuses of both (actually 3) options. Would I do it again....not sure. We are travel agents (retired from our other real jobs, but been doing this semi real time for good while) and we would def lead a group here. That is a different question and answer though. For me personally, I would do an exploration, but the better half has checked this box. Hope this answer helps.
  4. LOL, maybe he meant “his” or a little dramatic flair to impress us…
  5. Depending on the ages, I would agree.
  6. Was talking to the Cruise Director and he said ours was the only sailing to make it there for them this year and only 3 over the last 2 years. Thanks for not jinxing…..we were on a fairly big negative roll.
  7. Thanks for waiting before sending the link. The captain did talk about the potential for the severity for risky weather, wind and seas. For us, it was more wind than seas. Normally we have no issues and have gone thru some hurricanes earlier this year on our attempt to get to and from Greenland. Neither was a piece of cake, but no praying to any ceramic goddess was involved😁
  8. The emeril duck was off the charts
  9. Yes, it is. I tried to do all the new options (unless they totally turned me off) on our last CCL cruise. Enjoyed them all a lot.
  10. Did they have the new menu’s?
  11. A little late joining the party. Just completed a 14 day myself. You and your epic reviews have been missed.
  12. The trip back tot eh airport was about an hour. Began to wonder how are bags were doing. Checked my apple tag and yup, at the airport.
