  1. I got it, just injecting a little humor…. We come from the Northeast, the heaviest concentration of Italian Americans in the country. Pretty much everybody does it that way. The real question is whether you use a spoon to twirl it on the fork. JMHO
  2. Yeah saw that. We are back on Celebration in a couple months. If I have to will get those, but want the gray...prob because I can't get them...
  3. Thanks for the update. Not sure I have ever understood uprisings on a cruise ship...but that is just me.
  4. Not quite the same thing tho.... same result, but not quite the same taste. For the record I have asked many times (on the ship and off) for those gray t shirts they wear at the bar of P&A. So far, no luck, but hope springs eternal.
  5. I have done both. IMO Vista class is far superior, that said, I would do Excel class again.
  6. Not much new in what has been released so far, other than the removal of the 6 and 8 for non Galveston Excel class.
  7. I called when we cleared customs and they were there in less than 5 minutes. If I was worried about the timing, I might call before we entered the customs area. Oh BTW def do carry off.
  8. We have done this on a side2side on Horizon and Mardi Gras. The way we did it was to make make a one car reservation from MIA and used a rental company that had a drop off 1/2 mile away from PC cruise terminal (right over the bridge, near Fish lips) was to be first off (thru guest services) and Uber's to MIA. 10 minutes later we were in the car heading north. Getting off early is the key. Use Waze for traffic, I have a story with that also, but do not want to scare you.
  9. Price protection comes with the cruise fare you choose, early saver vs some of the others. Your PVP can give you the specifics. We track price drops for our customers, assume the PVP would do the same, but cannot comment on it. Lastly, since the end of Covid, travel, and specifically cruising is booming, probably hotter than ever before. The deals you used to find are far and few between, simply because they do not have to offer them to get the business. Simply supply and demand. That has to change at some point, when and to what affect, we will not know till it happens.
  10. Sounds that way to me. It is nice when t works that you can cruise during weeks that are less expensive. Not only the price changes, but the clientele does also (not knocking anybody, just stating it is different). Just as a point of reference, when our kids were younger we always traveled summer or school breaks. When we retired we had different options, significantly cheaper (for same itineraries) and the average age onboard jumped 30 years....not necessarily better, just different.
  11. For the record, before you waste your time, check out what the cruise contract states in regards to what the cruise line (any cruise line) can do with ports of call. Not sure what solace you would get for the reason they give you, but, let us know how it works out.
  12. Despite what some think, I know factually that they do in fact read and take customers comments to heart. As an example, we were traveling with a special needs child that needed significant modifications. While the parents (on our direction) went thru the Special Needs department, the level of service by one individual on the ship was just....amazing. Way too many ways to detail here. They made special note of this on their survey (we did on ours as well and also CC'd some friends in Carnival mgt. This info got this employee some special recognition (really special). They do read the surveys and they do make a difference.
