  1. First iff, they have raised the level recently, hence the thread. If it is still not working they need more controls. There is no need to derail this to police thread or what happened in the 70’s. Carnival is doing the tight thin.
  2. Most of the gang flew down from the northeast yesterday, couple doing same day flights today 🤪 we are ready to roll. 2 1/2 hour drive.
  3. You can leave (the room) at any time, getting on the ship is another issue. Perception is everything. Trust me, if you want to know what detained is I can send you some pics. Ahhh, going into another room for them to look in a bag, questioned? Ha The point is that there is a problem, a big problem. Rules are there for a purpose, when we bend a rule here or there….meh no big deal. It is my vacation, I can do what I want. Pot is legal in lots of places….well kudos to Carnival for drawing a line in the sand. They can deal with it any way they want, just like TSA at airports. It protects all of us and ENHANCES the cruise experience, The op said they were “pulling” out 1 per minute due to the alerting (I presume). Two hour embarkation, that equals over 120+ people….I have a hard time swallowing all that. Maybe the dogs had a bad day… Wonder if there were rubber hoses and tasers for the questioning….maybe bamboo shoots under the finger nails….😂 Moving on now.
  4. Totally disagree. That said, no dog in this fight.
  5. Describe wrong for me. They can do whatever they want. They can select every person or 1 in 10 or everyone with red hair or everyone that have a blue back pack.
  6. My personal view is that options are always a good thing.
  7. Not sure how we jumped to loss of all power…. That said, we were on a Pride Baltic cruise this year where we lost propulsion for about 8 hours, and yes it was powered by azipods.
  8. All good comment, can you speak to the psoitive aspects to azipods as it related to the cruise industry?
  9. Easy peasy solution, stuff found, banned for life.
  10. So this group is called friends of Frank. Frank is a good friend whom we have known for a long time. Frank is as about as much as a outgoing guy as there can be. Frank typically reaches out to many many people during a typical cruise. You will be seeing a lot of Frank
  11. Thanks for coming along, hopefully we can wet your appepitie enough along the way to keep you wanting more.
  12. The point is/was that some people really do not know the difference, and book the cheapest, restricted price. I would be willing to wager that a significant number of people who book online are unaware the different classes, sales, reduced deposit and ramifications and more. You do not need to go far on here to see things that prove my point.
  13. There is a reason that they have to do this. If people did nto try and bring illegal or banned stuff on, there would not be an issue.
  14. Hope it works out, the Grand Canyon is spectacular.
  15. maybe they knew they had an issue, but not till today understood how bad the issue was? I doubt they knew they would have to cancel sailings and just decided to sit on it....but that is just MHO
  16. Thanks for coming along, ask for any pic or question you might have along the way. I will wave when we are getting off.
  17. Thanks for coming along, that was a steal. Ahhh yes covid cruising.
