  1. Hooked me, I am along for the ride. We do have to work on that pizza thing tho......
  2. I agree, it will be interesting to see how it all sifts out.
  3. obviously it works as a business model. Many here have said they will still cruise regardless.
  4. Pretty big difference tho. ATLANTIC CITY??? How many places can you gamble in Vegas? How many on a cruise ship? One is a captive argument and the other flaunts hundreds of options (including diners and the airport.
  5. try this, should give you an idea. https://www.rome2rio.com/s/Gatwick/Dover-England?msclkid=ac2b41a5714b14c637da27cb492a9f11&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=SEM_US_EN_WV_DESKTOP_ALL_I.III_M_[NOMK_ROU|PRO_0]_P%3ANOMK_NOPRO&utm_term=gatwick dover&utm_content=SEM_US_EN_WV_DESKTOP_ALL_I.III_M_[NOMK_ROU|PRO_0]_P%3ANOMK_NOPRO_(GATWICK_UK)_(DOVER-ENGLAND_UK)
  6. Our Greenland cruise had that for a couple days.....got pretty old.
  7. Our first med sailing on the Liberty in her first year, we were in the Steakhouse for dinner and they paused dinner as we sailed by Stromboli which had an active volcano with lava flowing we could clearly see.
  8. fog horns add a certain mystique to cruising. You start listening to see if they come more frequent you wonder if you are about to hit something.
  9. Interested in your thoughts on thinking 5 day cruises are more appealing and older ships. Can you expand on this?
  10. Sorry the thing at Rudi's did not work out. That said, I think Carnival has been consistent in their no shorts on cruise elegant nights in the upscale restaurants, and I think it is in their doc, but what is done is dine. How they handle it makes all the difference. We travel in groups almost all the time and repeatedly have had some in our group push the envelope even though they understand the rules (regarding shorts). Almost without exception, they were denied sitting but offered the opportunity to go change. Kids are a different topic tho.... Sorry it happened and "flavored" your cruise.
  11. I did not let Covid define me during the pandemic (took precautions) and certainly would not now. Only you can decide what is right for you, but life marches on, I say go for it.
  12. interesting take. We have done 5 long cruises but not a TA (had two cancelled with Covid). Still on our list. It sure is hard shuffling in additional new comedians mid Atlantic. Appreciate the color on the differences and making the most of it.
  13. If there is something you really want, then book it in advance.
  14. you are correct. My bad, posting on multiple threads. Stand corrected
  15. It is a dangerous tightrope they are walking
  16. Would not bet on that…..hahahaha
