  1. Just another poster here wanting to share my appreciation for your creative work. Always in awe of those with a good eye for the details most would otherwise miss. Glad to see you had a great cruise as well and look forward to viewing your next collection!

Updated Crown's CD per #1079.
  3. Reposting the following photo from Ruby as per the ongoing live trip report from @aring75 (original photo and comment linked as well):
  4. Crown and Ruby are nearly identical so if you can dig up your memories from Crown, you'll basically have been on the Ruby. Coral and Sapphire have the covered pools. Coral is also the quaintest and most intimate of the 3 vessels you have listed as your choices. Can't go wrong with either of Sapphire or Coral if you're looking for something different. I don't really have a strong opinion on what is considered "best" for Alaska.
  5. Not aware of the specific comment(s) you're referring to but I believe all of the changes you have listed will indeed (or are likely to) be happening on Discovery.
  6. Hi @Saint Greg, what a pleasure to see you on Princess. Been a silent reader for your past reports; not holding my breath for anything as to how Princess might meet the occasion or execute these days, but simply hoping you get a good first impression and an overall great time! Looking forward to reading along and wishing you safe travels!
  7. Hi @Radio, hope you're having a safe journey home. Thank you for everything you've shared so comprehensively and for allowing us to live vicariously through your adventures. Hard to believe it's already been almost a year since the Ruby made the trek to mark Princess's return to Galveston and now Regal is there to put its own stamp on it. Looking forward to your next trip!
  8. This image is from @PescadoAmarillo by way of the recent Live report from @Radio, as per linked here:
  9. Yes to both. First question/answer was confirmed by the head of design a few months ago when prompted, citing the "desire for more livable space" (or something along those lines).
  10. Another vote of confidence here for the Moxy. It was a comfortable place for a pre-cruise hotel (although I'd choose it anyways, no matter the purpose for a visit to Southampton). Great location as well, with the huge Westquay mall just a few steps away. Thanks for sharing your experiences from the Regal TA!
  11. Likely the Royal. I've done the future deployment permutations in my head and I'm pretty sure it means Royal simply returns to Los Angeles since the other four Royal-class ships would be all on the Atlantic side, and Princess would never leave Los Angeles to be scarfed up by the others like that. The Discovery moving to Sydney has been sort of a long time coming; it should've actually been 2024-25 and there were some firm signs up until they yanked the deployment last-minute and decided to stick it in LA for that winter. Anyways, for 2025, there are also some initial signs on port schedules (e.g. overnight in Hong Kong) that the Discovery will be doing an Asia TP, just in time for a potential maiden dry dock in Singapore, before heading to Sydney (note the November 29 maiden appearance date in Sydney, which is a month later than usual, likely due to said dry dock). We'll see; things can change, yet again.

You can see her here. Also made changes to Caribbean's ED and DRO - as per @vickie_bernie for graciously sharing on her FB - you can find the whole picture board here: [first pic], [second pic] Also added Allie Ambriano as Regal's CD to fill in the blank - hoping anyone onboard the Regal transatlantic can just verify this, to double check as always. Thanks @scooter6996 for the updating. As always, thanks @Steelers36 as well for always keeping us in check. I really appreciate the community effort in our little corner of the forum.

I have also begun linking (appears as an underline) certain names to a contributor's post here in this thread if they have stated specific details about an officer's timeline (such as when they're joining or when they're leaving). It's optional, but I just thought it was a nice touch.
  15. Same as @Rick&Jeannie! Muster muster muster is a MUST! One thing I love doing on embarkation day is walking all around the top decks of the ship and just soaking in the views to really absorb and internalize the moment of being on a ship. Get all those pictures and videos to start the experience!
  16. Pretty sure it's to convey warmth and/or candor. Same reason the photographers suggest the leaning for the guests in their portraits as well.
  17. I attached pictures from Vickie that she shared with us on August 8 but I'm seeing that they're no longer working. I kindly invite @vickie_bernie to come and share any updates with us regarding the Caribbean if she has the time, but as of her last photo, the Guest Services Director is Carla Ramos (picture attached):
  18. Was this gentleman named Julio, perhaps? He's too funny and I loved his lectures! I strongly recommend attending all of them just to keep your information fresh, and also for some unexpected comic relief. Hope you have an amazing rest of your cruise!
  19. I remember answering a similar question addressed a month ago: The gist is that this is because of the itinerary -- to the Panama Canal. Port fees are substantially higher for this itinerary, so if they want to appeal to a more budget-conscious premium-preferring audience, this is the way to go. It's been how Princess rolls with the partial transit cruises. It's different than what HAL and Celebrity charge for their partial transits, so it's not apples-to-apples if you compare it with theirs.

  22. No bar specifically with that on the menu on the Regal, as far as I know. Not sure if Princess has brought back their pub lunch as we don't go, but that's usually the place to go for fish & chips. If there's no pub lunch, then check the buffet's daily assortment. There should be something along the lines of fish & chips on offer.
  23. You can walk out of the terminal directly into the city of Galveston.
  24. Specifically, go to the Sanctuary directly to book -- not Guest Services. Sanctuary is at the top of the ship in the front on deck 18. Once you board the ship, head toward the front and take the front elevators, which are much less busy than those at midship.
  25. Haven't done a B2B in Galveston before but this is my prior experience at other ports: 1) You will assemble in an area on the ship as indicated by a letter you get the night before (or before that). 2) You will then get off the ship together as a "B2B group" and go into the terminal to "clear immigration" (so bring your documents) and then you'll go out, back through security, and then wait in the holding area to come back onto the ship. B2B cruisers board before anybody else. Are you changing your stateroom? Your steward will help. Most of it is done for you, including the clothes hanging in the closet, but try to organize your belongings to minimize the chance of anything getting lost. Bring anything personal and valuable with you in a backpack. You can also move your stuff over yourself -- just let your steward know beforehand. If you're not changing your room, you don't have to do anything with your belongings. I think that's the gist. Feel free to ask any further questions.
