  1. I think that this reduces a lot of error. The workers get into the habit.
  2. Cruisy, did you seriously order steak in a Seafood restaurant? Say it ain’t so.
  3. Totally no way. The medallion can be picked up upon boarding. I would never pay for this “service “. Caveat: I’m a Suite passenger. So basically no lines.
  4. You are correct. I was n Hamburg, Germany last fall in a very traditional German restaurant. When the invoice was presented, I was shocked to see a tip line on the machine. I’ve been to Germany many times over the years and have never seen this before, ever. Sadly, US culture is becoming all to pervasive.
  5. I agree with you. But Princess, like all cruise lines competes on price. And in this Internet era, in which we live, all most people see is an initial price. It’s a marketing dilemma that due to Princess’ diverse clientele is difficult to resolve. Hence all the angst on this forum.
  6. I have five implants and it’s hard to see any of them breaking at all. Much less with an olive pit. I’d sue your oral surgeon.
  7. The rake at the electronic Holdem tables on cruise ships is much higher than the typical Vegas casino.
  8. You animal loving vegans realize, of course, that you’re eating your beloved animal’s food, right?
  9. I agree. As someone who eats out a lot at nice restaurants, $150 is a bargain for this type of dining. A wonderful seven course meal.
  10. If you are a Suite passenger, deck 14 contains the Concierge Lounge. 👍🏿
  11. I just had this itinerary. You will change the sea day before you dock on the Continent.
  12. Went on two this year. One to Pisa and the other to Rome. The guides were knowledgeable but both locations were so crowded, (middle of August) it was not that enjoyable. In addition, the day in Rome was a Sunday, so no access to the Colosseum because of local crowds. It’s free to them on Sunday. And the Vatican had very limited access as well. Pisa was great, but I’d only go at a time less crowded.
  13. I ride German trains all the time, and if he can board by himself, it will be allowed to take a folding wheelchair. You realize that Oktoberfest only takes place in Munich, right? Anything else is only a reflection.
  14. I loved the suite we had on Dolphin deck on Sky Princess. In fact my impressions were exact opposite of yours. 🙂
  15. Did this trip last Thanksgiving week and had a suite at the stern of the ship with a wraparound balcony. You won’t regret it.
  16. The Catch and Sabatini’s are both excellent.
  17. Ate at the Catch last week of July. Food was excellent. Had Crepe Suzette. Not flamed tableside, but adequate. Did not notice any excess noise, and we were not by the window.
  18. I was o Celebrity’s website today. It’s worse.
  19. We were recently in cabin d 121 on Sky Princess. It has a forward facing picture window which we loved. There was also a balcony on the side of the ship. Not large, but then on this class of ship only the aft balconies are decent IMHO. The cabin itself was a bit larger than the average suite, albeit with a slanted front wall. There were some rough seas on the cruise and my wife and grandson got seasick. No question there is more motion and slapping sounds in 3 meter waves. I would book again in a heartbeat. My wife said never again!
  20. Last cruise on Sky last week, we were always offered one extra appetizer and one extra main course every dinner. On surf and turf night we were offered Lobster Thermidor, for example.
  21. She went into the concierge lounge whenever she wanted to.
  22. AFAIK there is none. Four years ago my ten yo granddaughter ran tame on Regal Princess. Our suite was just across the hall.
