There is an interesting read called "Cabin Fever". It chronicles some of the problems cruise ships endured during the pandemic. One very interesting part is about not being able to transit through the canal. I won't spoil the story completely, but will say that the canal pilots are amazing.
Silversea has a similar trip that goes to Churchill. Might be worth checking out. I also considered the NW passage. After asking crew and a few passengers who had just finished the NW passage and getting rather negative responses we've decided to spend that big chunk of change elsewhere.
Crikey, did you go through a carwash?
My Bus ride criteria policy: Actual excursion must be longer than the bus ride. But might make a slight exception for those ruins. The details, wowza. 😉
Hear hear!
We've suggested they remedy this numerous times. A "pantry" would easily fit in Panorama or OL, doesn't have to be a full blown arts cafe or Seabourn square. OL needs a bar, even with limited service or self service country club style. Heck, even if it's just mixers and ice. We arranged several Champagne evenings evenings up there. Delightful. The Cloud and Wind need help competing with all the shiny things out there.
A bit disappointed as the Mana O distillery and tasting room in Taha'a is a shadow of its former self. Operation has moved to Rangoria. Just a shack now that sells some wine and the small bottles pictured below. None of the aged premium stuff available. The dark rum below still has its merits. Subtle and not to sweet, slight hint of oak.
If you haven't been, when you get to Raiatea the Coral Gardens in Tahaa are worth a visit. We are here now at La Pearl. In theory it's a drift snorkel with several channels. We tend to just walk around instead of drift. But the drift can be a fun ride in the main channel.
Best of luck with the swab.
Most likely no one answered because they don't know the answer. I suspect its the usual Seabourn website issues with a little corporate understaffed with newbies incompetence thrown in.
You will need to call them directly to try and solve this issue, or wait a week or 2 to sort itself out.
Just the local stuff. But I promise, you won't spit it out! Zaya looks interesting, must check it out.
Looks like your evening is off to a well deserved, luggage drama over, perfect start. 🥂 Cheers matey.
@shark b8glad you're on the High Seas again and looking forward to tales of your High Jinx.😃 140 days Woo Hoo! In Polynesia at the moment and I'll send you a map to our Rum stash.
A dear friend said that she is at her most vulnerable when she is packing. I'm not far behind. The multi climes get me every time! How do I pack for 2024s Antarctica to Namibia with all those weight restrictions? Penguin safari anyone? 😀 WWJPD
