I joined a waitlist for a sold out excursion in Limon, Costa Rica, but have no experience with a waitlist. Could someone comment about when would I know if the spot becomes available and how soon? How long should I wait before booking a different, but open excursion.

Thank you everyone for your valuable input! The cost of arriving an evening before and staying overnight is mostly negligible if compared to a piece of mind and probably few more hundred dollars. It is what it is.

We will be departing at 3 pm Monday Jan 29th from Fort Lauderdale. Flying from ATL to FLL. I am debating whether it is safe to take a flight early same morning. And how early or what would be considered late or too risky? There are several airlines with direct flights in the morning. Some fairs look very attractive. We are going to have a carry-on luggage only. Appreciate a feedback of experienced sailors. Thank you.

Just booked a round trip Panama canal on Ruby for Jan 29th sailing yesterday (yey!!). Looking at Medallion app, I see that 3 dining rooms are available - Michelangelo and Da Vinci (Table shared with other Guests), and Boticcelli (private table available). I sailed on Royal princess and Boticcelli was not the MDR. Is it different on Ruby? And does it mean that private tables are not available in Michelangelo and Da Vinci? Any significant differences then? We don't mind sharing the table.

I just tried and have no problem. I have my login and password saved so I don't need to re-enter. I actually even created a new account for my husband few days ago, and was pleasantly surprised that website has recognized his last sailing and even has Future Cruise Credit applied.

We just returned, it was 8/26-9/2 sailing.

We were on Royal too, and we in fact covered the nightstand light sensors instead, and it was already much better, otherwise it would be too dark to us.

I don't remember seeing any Lavazza symbol on Royal Princess, neither in the buffet nor in the IC. Not my picture below, but this is the coffee machine that is installed in the buffet on Royal Princess. Coffee was good, strong and non-acidic.

We just returned from Royal Princess. Generally, I think ship was pretty much staffed. MDR was no problem, very little waiting time between courses. Bars - one is better than another. Crooners was the most where i have waited for 20 minutes to get a drink. In Spirits At Sea, I did an experiment and tried order my drink via app. My drink was made pretty fast, but it was ignored by bartenders and I had to come and ask for it. After that, I ignored the app's ordering.

We have just returned from Royal Princess and, honestly, I did enjoy few of the Premium Desserts, as a snack between lunch a dinner. All of them are done with 3 scoops of vanilla gelato, but woman next to me said one can substitute with any flavor. I did enjoy the one with Oreo cookies. Balance of gelato, chocolate sauce and pieces of oreo and caramel nugget was just perfect. I did ignore the piece of hard candy.

I had a similar issue. I did not book with Princess. I was told by this forum to wait. And my Plus60 finally appeared in the app about a month before departure (which is next week) and I was able to order medallions without paying for them, with about 2 weeks before the deadline. I canceled 'pick up in port' and ordered to get medallions shipped.

Ok, this topic making me anxious. I'll be on Royal Princess in a week. Soft mattress - and I won't even sleep. Any feedback about mattresses on Royal?

And I was excited to read that Ocean Terrace on Royal would be part of the package. I guess, I won't be along. But I hate lines, it is not how I would want to spend my vacation. Thank you for reporting. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

From yesterday's email list of casual dining restaurants, I have concluded that on Royal Princess, it would be Alfredo's and Ocean Terrace. I have not seen a menu from Ocean Terrace. It would be nice to see before the trip.

Speedy recovery to your brother and his wife! Can happen to anyone, vaccinated or not. It is a risk we all are living with now and Covid is alive and well, like you said. People are still dying from it daily. Flu season is coming too and it will be challenging to recognize one from another since the symptoms are very similar.

I was hesitant buying any accessories too, but after seeing many pictures and videos people wearing lanyards around their necks, I ordered 2 airtag watch bands from Amazon for $10. Still waiting for my medallions to arrive by mail, but according to all the reviews watch bands work with medallions.

I think it was asked in the larger thread, but not sure if it has been confirmed - with new Plus, is it two free visits per person or per cabin regardless of how many people?

Thank you! I am reading that at some point it becomes #124 route and no change of the bus is needed. Same #124 could be used to almost reach SeaTac with one stop transfer on Link.

We are two adults, mid-fifties, since our flight back home is only at 6pm, considering to disembark from Princess (Saturday) as one of the last groups and spend time at to the Museum of Flight. No rush, therefore I see that there is a public bus #24 near pier 91 which will take us directly to the museum. We would like to keep our carry-ons with us. I read that museum have a storage for visitors with luggage. Carry-ons on the bus, is it doable? Any issues you might see? Any advice? Looks like we can catch same bus (now it would be 124) to the airport or use Uber/Lyft.

Could someone clarify what type of luggage porters take - large checked bags AND carry-ons or we are allowed to bring our carry-ons with us to the ship? In my previous sailing on HAL we did bring our carry-ons with us.

Where one would request a tender ticket? I am considering an independent excursion.
