Viva Haven booked do we need Vibe too?
MoCruiseFan replied to disneydave's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
No one 'needs' a Vibe pass. TO address the real question, there is a private sun deck for Haven guests on most ships so IMHO a Vibe pass would be redundant. Even so, a Vibe pass is WAAAY over rated and even more WAAAAY over priced. Heck it was over priced at the original cost. It has gone up at least once since then. -
Again for what?

That is ridiculous. Change all of those "should" to "could" or "might want to" and your post makes a little more sense. Your math on the cabin steward tip is absurd. Tip based on service received not on some random calculation because of the size of the cabin. The only correct answer to tipping is to tip anyone you want, any time you want, any amount you want. What someone else may or may not tip is totally irrelevant. Then there is this from the NCL FAQ page: Unlike most other ships in the cruise industry, there is no required or recommended tipping on our ships for service that is generally rendered to all Guests. While you should not feel obligated to offer a gratuity, all of our staff are encouraged to “go the extra mile,” so they are permitted to accept cash gratuities for exceptional or outstanding service if you care to offer them. Also, certain staff positions (e.g., concierge, butler, youth program staff and beverage service) provide service on an individual basis to only some guests and do not benefit from the overall service charge. We encourage those Guests to acknowledge good service from these staff members with appropriate gratuities. Additionally, there is an 20% gratuity and spa service charge added for all spa and salon services, as well as an 20% gratuity and beverage service charge added for all beverage purchases and an 20% gratuity and specialty service charge added to all specialty restaurant dining and entertainment based dining.

Stocked up for what?

1) Last I knew water IS a beverage but from past experience you can bring any beverage, including water, into the spa. 2) Sorry I cannot recall with certainty, but I ->think<- yes. 3) Varies from ship to ship but they are not open very late.

NCL Reducing Entertainment Staff Across the Fleet
MoCruiseFan replied to JT1962's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Not that disappointed. That show had been around for way to long and was not my favorite by any means. I do hope that at some point they bring on a new show or two. -
From the NCL web site FAQ... What about gratuities? Unlike most other ships in the cruise industry, there is no required or recommended tipping on our ships for service that is generally rendered to all Guests. There you go the official answer which boils down to what I posted earlier, tip whoever you want however much you want whenever you want and then move on.

If you go to the spa, they will try VERY hard to sell you on many different add ons and take home products. On the form you fil out prior to your treatment write the words "NO SALES PLEASE: in large letters at the top so they will not use the high pressure sales tactics on you.

Limited edition means nothing at all other than they stopped printing off the number of ink jet copies copies until they churn out another however many copiers. Limited editions of giclee posters are worthless and as I said the can be had ay many places for much less than what PW hypes them for.

Not YET..

There is really noting t all to figure out. Tipping is not required on NCL. A lot of people will give opinions as to the daily service charge, but that fee is irrelevant. The only 'rule' about tipping on NCL is to tip whoyou want, when you want, however much you want. What others choose to do as far as tipping is also irrelevant. Enjoy your cruise, and tip as you please. There is no suggested, normal, usual, or common amount to tip anyone.

Even though I have no peers in Boston, we found it very easy to park at the pier! You should have no issues...
-
They are only limited to the number they print off using their computer printers. With VERY few exceptions, they sell giclee pieces. Your statement that they ship a copy form Miami shows that. If what you buy is an original piece of art there are no copies. The 'art' gallery basically sells computer printed posters that are copies uf (very loosely used) art. Next time you are there if you even mention the word giclee, they will get very angry and stomp away...
-
It is a fake auction for non-art. They sell giclee pieces (copies printed on computer printer) and refer to them as "original" art. They have very very little or no value what so ever and can be had at most outlets that sell posters (that is all they are) for about $10 or so. After the 'sale' they try very hard with extremely high pressure tactics to sell you on a several hundred dollar frame as well. The best thing to do with the 'art' gallery si to keep on walking by it.

Vibe is EXTREMELY over rated and even at the original price f less than $100 it was over priced. It may be different from ship to shipo but last I knew they were sold at guest services.

Never use a TA to do what you can easily do for yourself...

No need to upgrade at all. 300 minutes i way more than enough to get you through a cruise. Just be sure to completely log off after every session!

I do not know any9ne named "u" but the spas I have visited while cruising did have robes.

NYC-Bermuda Cruises Skipping Virginia for a few weeks
MoCruiseFan replied to OttawaJohn's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
You are missing nothing at all worthwhile. Norfolk is a nasty place with precious little to do. VA Beach is one of the lamest beaches I have been to in my life and other than a weak shopping mall ether is not much near the port.
