  1. Hi Tia, the ONLY correct answer to your question is to tip anyone you want to tip, any time you want to tip them, and give them any amount you want to give. There is no recommended, suggested, normal, customary tip amount and what I and others tip is 100% irrelevant to your tipping decisions. Enjoy your cruise and really enjoy the Haven!
  2. The only difference between the two is which way the cabana faces.
  3. Because a lot of people are not happy unless they can find a reason to complain,
  4. If they would shut the hell up and listen they could hear. I've never had a problem hearing nor have I had any problem asking someone next to me to stop jabbering if they are being rude by talking over the crew member making the presentation. The reason they complain is because some people are not happy unless they find some reason to complain.
  5. I don't recall anyone calling anyone else a moron.
  6. I highly disagree and it is simple logic. If you hold the drill at the exact place you are supposed to head to in a real emergency and go through the drill there, it is much more likely that folks will remember where to go as opposed to simply walking by and giving your name to some guy with a clipboard checking off names. It's not like we are talking much time anyway. Go to the assigned area, listen to the spiel, then go enjoy your cruise.
  7. Some of the posts in this thread have to be the most moronic, absurd, and laughable tin foil hat comments ever made on line anywhere. NCL is going to in person muster drills to save money! I laughed so hard I darn near peed my pants. Thanks for the chuckles folks. This has to be the best thread ever on these forums!
  8. As with ALL tipping threads, the only correct answer is to tip anyone you want to tip, any amount you want to tip them, at any tie you want to tip them. What others do is 100% irrelevant and quite frankly none of your/my business.
  9. Read your contract, no compensation is due. On the second point, you are ASS-u-mnig that NCL was refunded the fees which may not be the case.
  10. That is pretty much standard for using CN vouchers. The terms say one per cabin but there is almost always a 'special'; where you can use two. On occasion you can even use three.
  11. They probably cost about 50¢ each to produce. I highly doubt that there would be any impact of cruise fares if they were eliminated.
  12. Hi Tia. Actually you bougt CN (Cruise Next) vouchers. FCC is an entirely different animal and you can't buy it (except for someone else who has FCC and can't use it).
  13. I'll gladly spend an hour to help ensure my safety in the event of an emergency
  14. I'll gladly spend an hour to help ensure my safety in the event of an emergency
  15. Tipping IS giving cash to the staff. Nothing anyone else does even slightly impacts how much I tip. Lastly you SAW it, you did not SEEN it.
  16. I was wondering the same thing. A "revolt" over diet coke, how silly.
  17. Part of the confusion here is a result of a change NCL made some time ago in their cabin nomenclature. NCL has a specific cabin of each cabin type (inside, ocean view, etc) that comes with no cabin choice and no FAS perks. In the past they referred to this as a GTY or guarantee cabin. They have since changed the name of that to a "SAIL AWAY" cabin. On the other hand, at some point in the process of selling cabins for a given cruise, it APPEARS that NCL halts allocation of specific cabins for a cabin type and level (IA, IB, OA, OB,etc) and sells a guarantee of that cabin type and level which DOES include FAS. So what is now a guarantee is not the same as what was shortly ago. This all (of course) is my conjecture based on my observations. It could all be poppycock! 🙂
