Go down to the main stage, or wherever the excursions check in, really early when the first tours are checking in. Tell the excursion person on the check in desk, and they’ll cross you off the list for that tour. Once in a blue moon you can get on a sold out excursion the same way being Johnny on the spot for a ‘morning of’ cancellation but don’t count on it.
That is great advice and I thank you for it. But sometimes I'm just not feeling well enough to do that. I am a woman of a certain age. Ty

Hello fellow cruises.
How do you cancel a shore excursion either the night before or the morning of. I've had problems with this. Please be advised this has nothing to do with a refund. Has nothing to do with money at all. I just hate the thought of people waiting for me when I'm not going to be there. I don't want to hold up the bus......
1 time I knew the night before I wasn't feeling well and I wouldn't make the excursion the next day. Of course no 1 was at the excursion desk. There was no voicemail, I had no email address so I called the front desk. I explained my situation that I wouldn't be making the excursion and the excursion desk was closed. The representative at the front desk told me they would notify the excursion people. That was never done. I hate to repeat myself but I felt terrible thinking that people were waiting on a bus for me and I wasn't going. On another occasion,,,, It was about 2 hours before the excursion was about to begin. Again, no 1 was at the excursion desk it was too early. I tried to call later but they were all out with the excursion. So I really don't know how to cancel an excursion.
There must be a way and I'm sure someone out there knows it. I'd appreciate the help. Thanks
Ps.. If there's another thread out there I should be looking at please let me know.

We do our best to avoid the casino area because of the smoke.
I agree. I hate walking by the casino. Although, I thought they had nights where there was no smoking in the casino.

Thank you for your response.? I did read the itinerary and I did not see any mention of tenders but when I called the cruise line for information the representative said that some of the ports require a tender but when I questioned why it wasn’t stated on the itinerary I was told that the trip I was interested in would have a new ship that required a tender. I picked another itinerary and called again and was given different information so now I am very confused and was just wondering if anyone else had any information about this trip.
I know Bar Harbor is a tender port.

I know Princess gives the veteran’s benefit on every single cruise. We aren’t vets but they tell me once their Vet status was on file with PCL that benefit was automatically applied to every cruise they booked without them having to ask for it ever again. Kind of surprising that HAL would limit that. As I said earlier, we had booked a cruise weeks before I ever even knew about the AARP or educator benefit, but since I applied on the HAL site and got them verified, HAL automatically applied it to our next cruise. We didn’t know until we got onboard and checked our statement on the Navigator app that we got the OBC for all of it. What I don’t know is how to get it applied to my next two coming up later this year.
I never had a problem before. I cruised quite a bit and I never had a problem getting both perks. Travel agent at AARP (since last July). As I mentioned earlier I got the both for next year. Talk to the travel agent before you book see if they know how to add everything. Mine didn't.

I guess it’s not surprising that there is inconsistencies…
I realized that I had entered my info in SheerID before sending the email - that probably affected how well it worked for me.
I did this already. It was already confirmed. My current travel agent called HAL again and they refuse to add it again. She said she couldn't combine both benefits. However, For next year I booked with a different travel agent and their perks and the AARP were both on my booking. Go figure.....

Santorini Greece.
I'm only posting photos from our first time there because they would probably all be the same. In fact the third time we stayed on the ship. I believe the weather wasn't great that day.
In 2012 we stopped at Santorini for the first time on Crown Princess. Once we made our way to the top using the gondolas, we walked to the local bus station and boarded a bus headed to Oia.
This stop was in late November so the crowds weren't terrible. Along the way the view of the island and coastline.
Once in Oia we did what we all do, walk around and take photos. Here is the blindingly white church. Everything there is blindingly white!
Anything not white seems to be Santorini blue.
I like to take photos of doorways.
After our nice visit to Oia we rode the bus back along the two lane winding road to Fira. Another ride down on the gondolas and a tender over to the ship. A beautiful stop on our Greek Isles cruise.😎
So beautiful. I have a cruise to go there next year in October.

@bennybear Those are really special pictures of Kona. I wonder why they have such beautiful sunsets compared to other places in the world. Normally I hate spiders, but that one was really different.

I'm not a fan of spiders either but that 1 was so beautiful I didn't think it was real.

Good morning, everyone!
It is a gray day today with intermittent rain showers predicted. All the better for those May flowers that will soon be here. I will be so happy when the trees finish budding out. Apparently, tree pollen is a big irritant to me. I'm sure once the trees finish, the grass will take over.
@RMLincoln Keeping you and DH in my thoughts today that all goes well.
@Haljo1935 Hoping all goes well with your procedure today.
@JazzyV I hope you are resting comfortably. I'm glad BFF is with you.
I have a pedicure this morning and hope that is all I need to deal with. Yesterday got busy with details for the conference I am attending on Saturday. I left the position of State Director two years ago, but for some reason, I am in charge of the details of this conference. Or at least it seems like I am.
Today's meal sounds tasty. What makes it stand out is the scallion ginger sauce. https://www.eatingwell.com/recipe/272931/sheet-pan-sesame-chicken-broccoli-with-scallion-ginger-sauce/
This one uses chicken that has been cut up into cubes. It doesn't have a separate sauce, but does bring in the ginger along with a sweet chili sauce. https://www.eatyourselfskinny.com/sheet-pan-sesame-chicken-and-veggies/
Here is one more variation that uses just broccoli as the vegetable. https://www.punchfork.com/recipe/Sesame-Chicken-and-Broccoli-Sheet-Pan-Meal-Kalyns-Kitchen
Wishing you all a wonderful day!
Everything looks delish

Greetings everyone from Japan. I hope all are doing well. Glad to see that @kazuJacqui was able to make her trip, and even has enough oomph to do a “live from.” 😊
The Westerdam is delivering the goods here in Japan. We’ve had great excursions, quite good food, and wonderful service. And blessed with sunny skies. And…perfect timing for the cherry blossoms. Happy campers. Here are a few photos.

We loved it. We both said we'd do it again. How about you?
In 2017 I went on the 38 day Voyage of the Viking and spent some time in Iceland. Then last year I did the 25 day cruise to Iceland. I enjoyed it.. I just enjoy cruising. I love the crew on the Holland America line .Just great... But Honestly I don't think I'd go back to Iceland again.

@shadow 123Here too! We feed everything that arrives in our yard. Except for the lizards. I let them eat our bugs though. However I am not sure I want to start feeding an armadillo if it shows up. They will destroy a house foundation in no time flat. And I am not too fond of the coyotes, as they have taken one of my cats. My neighbor is always scared I will end up feeding the foxes, but they show up in the early morning hours, and by then the possums and raccoons have stripped the feeders clean. This is why if I can get a cat off the street, I will do so.
I'm in the city so we don't see too much of those wild critters thank heavens.

@RMLincoln Glad you made it safely. I hope all goes well tomorrow.
@ger_77 I'm really hoping Maurice's surgery is approved and scheduled soon. I'm pulling for you both!
Kind of a lazy day here with not much happening. I'm looking forward to some warmer weather so I can clean the deck and patio. Once they are clean, I will stain the deck and then get some nice furniture for the patio. I want a conversation set with a fire table.
Thank you Deb. I was wondering did you enjoy your cruise last year to Iceland? The 25 day cruise. I was on that as well.

This is a very friendly bunch of people, the Daily is my favorite place to be.
Thank you so much. I am an animal lover. All of them. Anything that lands or walks in my yard is fed.
