  1. OK, my highly doubt was not correct. Though I've only been on 3 Celebrity cruises, on all 3 I could count the number of kids with less than the digits of both hands, thankfully.
  2. LOL! And as it is for us New Englanders, where so much of it is caught very locally to where I live. I eat it frequently, it's much healthier (way less fat) than salmon, and it is excellent in fish tacos.
  3. Though if she were on board, they'd have a full experienced crew and the OVC would be serving piping hot fresh food all day/night long.
  4. I boarded in Rome this past October. I was surprised even then, that they were still requiring this, though it was easy to get the test at a pharmacy in Civitecchia. Seems silly esp. since you board in FL and def not required there, but neither is it in Spain. On my cruise, all of the crew had to wear a mask for the entire 14 days, they were not pleased but accepted it for what it is. Masks were not required for passengers, though some wore em...I did not don one for the entirety of the cruise, though any time I left the ship I had one with me, just never knew if someplace we went may require it, didn't happen though.
  5. In the case of TA's, it is not the specific country requiring it, it is Celebrity. It is all available on their website, very recently updated.
  6. Well said. The pretend dress code police need to find another "problem" to spend precious vacation time worrying about, just IMVHO, of course. Yes yes I know, sign sign everywhere a sign , plenty of pics of the signs here on CC. Just stop freaking worrying about what anyone else is wearing, you'll have a far better time on board, all the stress oh my.
  7. It was served in the buffet on my TA this past fall.
  8. Total opposite of my recent laundry experience on Edge, and I did laundry two separate times. Both times perfecto.
  9. This not breaking news, it is not even new news, I went on a TA from Rome in late Oct and it was in place then. Nothing to see here, move along...
  10. I would highly doubt that Celebrity would do a kids sail free or even 2for1...while kids can and do (though not many thankfully) cruise on Celebrity, they do not market themselves as being family friendly and thankfully so.
  11. If you are basing your “a lot of people don’t like them “ on CC metrics, then you are looking at a very small fraction of Celebrity cruisers.
  12. Same. A gift from daughter and prefaced with: "before you open them just know you are not to old for them and you will wear them"
  13. They are usually the last few pages of your cruise docs
  14. and if they ban my "hey dudes" I will be fighting mad
  15. How would you feel if a naked person walked into chuch? I don't go to church, but I just may make an exception for this.
  16. Well if they are anything like the beans they serve with a full Irish breakfast in Ireland, they far surpass what we have here. Perhaps it's just the coziness of eating by a fire in a B&B looking out at Dingle Bay but dang those beans taste so much better!
  17. We will be going in June. I would love to sail with such a diverse group if I were able to converse with them! For me, part of the fun/excitement of international travel is finding a way to converse with people that don't speak the same language, have shared many laughs with people I've met that way. Heck, sometimes I even need a translator when I travel to Ireland.
  18. you forgot Retreat Retreat Retreat, you should try it, it's delightful
  19. This was a typical Saturday night dinner when I grew up in Boston. Hot dogs, beans, with brown bread from a can. *Photo credit: New England Today Living
  20. Good because at least in Luminae I believe they take that big chunk of fat out when they open the can of beans 🤪
  21. I was uncomfortable with DH looking at all that skin. Does your DH have to wear a blindfold when you take him to the beach?
  22. I did not dine on Magic Carpet but on my recent cruise, I met a couple who did and they loved it, said it was on a par with Eden.
