  1. Looks beautiful! Cant wait…thanks.
  2. Hi rubyted. I hope you are having fun! How many passengers are aboard now?do you know the expected number for the 1/31 “journey”? Thanks.
  3. There is a pair in the cabin , not terribly good ones but ok for a quick look from the veranda. If you want some to take ashore for birds etc, bring your own. Btw, we were on in September, great trip from Scotland to New York. We will be onboard with you in 2 weeks. Excited to try the ship in hot weather!
  4. Is in noisy in the Atrium?
  5. Jeffd, glad you are enjoying so far…we were aboard for 3 weeks in September and had a great time (despite many teething pains). The recent sale is too good to pass up so we sail again on 1/31. I would also love to hear about numbers for your sailing and any guesstimates for next few “journeys “. Thanks and have a wonderful trip.
  6. @ter777 sorry you missed lunch! Was the tour an explora one or a private tour? What is your experience/opinion with Explora tours?
  7. @dale I am on your trip. What is the substitute port you mentioned?
  8. Oh Luik you’re singing my song! I love duck! Many thanks and enjoy your trip.
  9. Thanks luik, this is all helpful. One question, what time is early for Sakura? I booked for 6:30 for September. When they confirmed mentioned I could adjust time if I needed to. Thoughts?
  10. Ajouni, me too! Very excited for our sept 2 sail…looking forward to posts from everyone on the maiden voyage next week. Have a great trip.
  11. Steamboats , where do you find that info? I’m scheduled for sept 2 and I want to reach out to my TA with this info to see if he can find out anything from explora. Thanks!
  12. I agree! I am not scheduled until September but for a 20k plus purchase a little communication from MSC would be expected. I am sure they don’t know exactly when the ship will be ready . Still they could reach out to those of us booked in near future. Maybe a “we appreciate your patience “ , “we are working hard to finish the detail” not difficult, just a wee bit of customer service would feel like they value us and will make things right. ( how about shouting everyone a welcome dinner at the posh restaurant?”. Good luck to all
  13. Which cruise? Or should I say how far does the cancellation extend? we are scheduled for sept 2 and I’m a little nervous. My heart goes out to all affected by the situation.
  14. Thanks… boy that does feel cheap!
  15. Are there spots on the ship ( library for example) where one can use WiFi without using cabin log in? btw, went to Antarctica in 2021 on SS in cheapest cabin… we both had free WiFi and it worked quite well😊
  16. ALITTLE OFF TOPIC, BUT HAVE YOU EVER HAD TROUBLE GETTING THE EXCURSION YOU WANTED? TOMORROW ( AT 8PM???) IS WHEN I CANA SIGN UP. DO THEY USUALLY FILL? THANKS
  17. Can I join you? 🤣 . Because it is still so far away, no need to stress, just a bit of a head scratcher. We went to antarctica in NOv 2021…that was a nightmare! Didn’t know if Chile would open or not…the visa application was so confusing and testing on arrival was so worrisome. But all went well, wonderful trip and this silly hiccup is not going to worry me. I look forward to meeting and your crew in September. ( and here’s hoping the IT glitches are the only problem there are having getting the ship up and sailing!)
  18. I HAVE TO LAUGH...I JUST SPENT 20 MINUTES BANGING AWAY TO GET MY CHECK IN FORM DONE (SAME TRIP AS YOU DALE, ALSO GOT THE EMAIL YESTERDAY). I WAS ABLE TO ENTER EVERYTHING FOR HUSBAND AND ME, NO ERRORS NOTED. BUT GOT SAME "CAN'T SEND, TRY LATER". I FIGURED SOMEONE ON CC WOULD KNOW WHAT TO DO! NOT YET. I KEEP READING THE MSC IS FAMOUS FOR LOUSY TECH SUPPORT...I THINK I BELIEVE THAT NOW! I PLAN TO ASK MY TA FOR ANY ADVICE. STILL MANY WEEKS AWAY SO IT WILLGET SORTED.
  19. A bit surprising to see this list… most are $10-15 supermarket wines. I would expect more European wines and a few higher level California wines.
  20. ANY THOUGHTS ON MYANMAR FOR 2024? MANY CRUISES HAVE CANCELLED STOPS THERE IN 2023 DUE TO THE POLITICAL INSTABILITY.
  21. Thank you for posting this topic. I am booked on Nautica April 2024 Singapore to Cape Town… a wonderful itinerary with Myanmar the primary reason for choosing this expensive trip. I will watch closely to see how O handles things this year and definitely cancel before FP if they don’t disclose what a change in itinerary would look like. Troubled time the world over!
  22. Hmmm. I have had no trouble signing on since TA “fixed “ it for me about 2 weeks ago. I can see excursions, with prices from Scotland to Iceland. Some prices seem pretty reasonable, but private car trips quite costly. The site is actually really nice…good descriptions of the area and what there is to see there. Definitely feels exciting…hoping it will be a fantastic trip.
  23. I emailed my ta and he worked with Explora to get my acct up and running. No prob since then. ljsanantonio….I figured that tourist infrastructure in Greenland is not robust…im thinking most visitors show up on tours so I will likely bite the bullet and plan ship excursions there. Would be delighted to hear about anything you find for independent tours. I’m with you on Iceland, Scotland being best for active tours…walks, hikes etc. I’m planning to look for transport to/from the ship and on your own walks…happy to share info and rides if you are interested. The $2000 per day car tours listed by Explora are out of my budget range!
