Thanks for the heads up.
I'm not an MLB fan - do they play this song at every home game to make it popular?
Yes, middle of the 8th inning. Occasionally from ~1997, every home game since 2002.

I notice this new behavior, (in Chrome on Android 13 & 14), a week or two ago. It's frustrating. I don't believe there is a browser fix. It is probably something in the web page coding.
I've been away from some threads for a few days. This has lead to the discovery that while the first Next link (either at top or bottom) in a thread navigates to the bottom of the next page, subsequent Next (reading through the thread) properly navigate to the first post on the next page.

W11 with Chrome.
When I select 'Next Page' it goes to next page ok, but renders to the bottom of the page and I must then scroll to top.
Is this a forum setting that needs fixed or is it a setting on my laptop?

Are you asking what could have been done to prepare the pup? If so, I could think of multitudes of things. Too many to list.
The owner of the dog would know best how to prepare him for a trip away from home for multiple nights in strange circumstances.
Was my question not clear? You have accused the owner of not properly preparing the animal for the voyage. In fact you have accused the owner of cruelty. Yet you refuse to enlighten us on what could have been done differently.

While I agree they were not being intentionally cruel, I still think it was cruel to neglect preparing this animal to be on a cruise ship for multiple nights away from land. Much could have been done.
Perhaps you could provide details for future reference.

... The cruise industry could ease this situation if they took a unified information approach - it would only take one or two employees to track the information and share it on a web site available to all prospective passengers. Their currently policy of putting the onus on potential passengers to research independently is selfish and undoubtedly costing them in the long run.
I don't think you have fully thought out the situation. You are suggesting that one or two employees would be sufficient for determining the travel documentation requirements of hundreds of thousands each week. Passengers from a multitude of countries with an assortment of residency & citizenship status.
What is truly selfish is the belief that an individual is not responsible for their own documentation requirements.

Has anyone ever checked-in after the latest check-in time? Like 2:30 for a 4 pm sail time.
Their website says:
Final Boarding Time:
In order to facilitate the embarkation process, the processing of your eDocs, and to comply with new government regulations governing departure manifest, all guests are required to complete check-in at the cruise terminal and be onboard the ship no later than one hour prior to the departure time noted on their cruise documents or they will not be permitted to sailThis leads me to think that I should be able to board up to a few minutes before 3 and that they will pull the bridge at 3, but the last check-in time is 1:30 to 2.
I didn't get all the warnings about a booking a flight the day before and they don't tell you your check-in time when you book. So, I booked a dangerously close flight time.
Has anyone had success checking-in a bit after the last check-in time?
An important omission from the quoted text:
"Please note that guests who have not filled out their Online Check-In must arrive at the port two (2) hours prior to sailing."

It only makes sense to contact the cruise line before the cruise to establish its procedures. The onboard account has to be settled and the ship manifest adjusted. I expect there will be a bit of paperwork to be completed onboard before debarking.

But, as a simple man, if I ever go to Antarctica, it's not going to be a sail-by. You either go there, or you don't. No one who "sails by" Antarctica can say they've been to Antarctica.
I hope if and when you decide to set foot on Antarctica you are physical able to climb into and out of a Zodiac. Many of those choosing to go the sail by route are simply not physically able to accomplish that task.

It appears that notifications are restarting.
Unfortunately they appear completely broken. Every notification I try to follow goes back to Sunday or thereabouts.

I didn’t see your post but glad to know it was eventually fixed. I’ve gone into my notification settings to make sure I’ve selected the appropriate boxes. Still not receiving most notifications. Is there a support person I can contact or should I just hope someone in IT sees my post?

I follow several boards and threads and normally have upwards of 20 or more notifications but as of this morning, I'm not getting anything. I've logged out and logged in again using my e-mail address and I have also reset my password. Still nothing. Any suggestions?
The advice I got was to change the settings, save them and change them back. Sort of worked for me, but I only get notifications for posts that quote me or relations to my posts. Still can't get notifications of new posts in streams I follow.
I have a custom stream that includes new posts in threads I follow and that seems to still be working.

How can we send contact details to an individual memebr (in this case someone who we are joining a tour group with) without putting our email addres sout there for everyone?
If you are using CC you would have to include a non machine readable email address in a post. Something like "username Gmail com". To further protect your regular email create a temporary email address for just this purpose.

I wonder how those things remain waterproof? Is it some kind of inflatable device that locks around your shoulders?
Physics. Helmet it heavy. The air is lighter than water and can't escape so the water can't take its place.

Is the following itinerary feasible going through YUL for two Americans with Global Entry? Never having been through YUL before, I don't know if we will need to do anything additional for our layover that has us going to a US destination. If it's just a matter of getting from one gate to another, we can hustle and hopefully have no problems. If we have additional screening to go through, I don't think an hour is enough. Thank you for your input.
I believe you will have to clear US Border Protection. See https://www.admtl.com/en/guide/connecting-flights

An acquaintance is sensitive to sunlight. Going out in bright sunlight without extreme protection is actually painful.

You will still see posts that are quoted.

You need to read the actual policies. Each should outline how it determines coverage when there are multiple policies covering the claim.
-
I suggest you not post an actual email address. Instead write the address out in a human, not machine understandable format like "my name at somewhere com" for myname@somewhere.com.
