oops....DH always carries a Swiss knife...wonder if that's allowable.  Goes through customs with it in a tray...never stopped.

As long as it requires two hands to open it should be fine.

Knives with blades under 6cm (~2.4 in.) Can be carried on flights within Canada and to non-US destinations, https://www.catsa-acsta.gc.ca/en/what-can-bring/sharp-objects

US TSA rules differ, https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/items/knives#:~:text=Checked Bags%3A Yes,to baggage handlers and inspectors.

What you have going for you in this situation is to be denied entry it has to be something that would be a crime under the Canadian Criminal Code.  Canada has no laws against having a knife in the trunk of your car.

If it was unlicensed firearm that would be a different story.

Far too broad a statement. There are knives that are illegal in Canada with possession subject to criminal charge. Switch blade type knives are one example.

One more thing.  Someone asked what happens when you push the wheelchair button at the elevator.   I didn't think it was doing anything the first couple times but then I figured it out.  You push it and then pick your deck.  It assigns an elevator.   When you go to that elevator there will be a soft bell melody playing.   That's about it.

Was there always room in the elevator for a chair?

Fouremco, I'm hoping you can help with this.  ...

To notify @Fouremco, you need to type the @ followed by the first few letters of the username. When the popup list appears tap / click on the desired user. This will produce a blue bubble as seen in this post and the user will be notified that someone mentioned them in a post.

Interesting!  Thanks, clearly, you still have that function, but nowhere on my interface does that dropdown to choose the forum appear!  I am using my Macbook at the moment.  I will try it on my phone, but I almost always am on my computer, so this is quite annoying.

On your MacBook go to the forum you want to search, click in the search bubble. It should default to searching that forum.

I am also on Costa Deliziosa and in contact with At7Seas. Here is a message from him:

“I can’t follow this report up, because I got blocked for my obscene and abusive language, for being intimidating and other things. I have not even an idea what I did wrong in particular, but obviously my style is unwanted. I am sorry and I thank you for following me on this short part of my voyage. At 7 Seas”

I followed the blog and am very sorry t see that.

@At7Seas may want to contact community@cruisecritic.com to inquire about the offending post. I recently had something similar happen to me in error. An email inquiry using my email address of record and including my username managed to clear the block.

I have been enjoying this trip report and would very much like to see it continued.

Has the search function changed?  We used to be able to search a particular forum (In my case I almost always only want content posted in the HAL forum) but I don't see that possibility anymore!  Is it just me, or has the whole search page changed?  Is it still possible to limit a search to a particular forum?

Search is both context and device sensitive. If you are on some mobile devices you will use the magnifying glass icon to access Search.

On the Search form select Topics and then use the drop down to pick the particular forum to be searched.

Can I use $400 On board credit at casino Royal Caribbean table games and request 400 dollars in chips? Play one hand and take rest chips to cashier and get cash back? Is that allowed

I suspect you would not be able to use any non-refundable OBC if that is the goal.

Hi everyone. I’m looking for your recommendations on a fabulous cruise over the Christmas holidays (approx Dec. 18 - Jan. 9).

For a family of 4, with 2 teenage boys (15, 16) and to celebrate a milestone birthday for me. We’ve done Disney and Norwegian, and I feel that the boys would appreciate a ship with lots of activities. My husband and I don’t gamble so a casino isn’t necessary. We’ve done Western Mediterranean (Rome, Cannes, Barcelona) and the Caribbean

Looking for an incredible itinerary that fits our budget, which will need to include flights from Toronto. Budgeting $15k, but I’m probably asking for too much (especially when we don’t want inside stateroom). It’s been a long time since we’ve cruised.

    Would love any suggestions. TIA

One of the Royal Caribbean mega ships in the Caribbean. Not only do they have lots of activities, but some itineraries visit Coco Cay, Royal Caribbean's amusement park. A pair of connecting balcony cabins should fit in the budget.

It seems we used to be able to access roll calls quickly.  I don’t want to scroll through find your roll call each time.  Is there a feature?  I think because of this more people are moving over to another forum. Thanks!

Simply bookmark your roll call thread in the browser you use.

You could also copy the URL and paste it on your desktop for immediate access without first having to start your browser.

Actually, in this case, that’s far from the truth.
In any case, let’s hope for the best for OP and also hope that the next OP response is saved for a report of the outcome.

    You find this confusing?

Okay, you’ve done your best to explain it all. Might I suggest that, even though your many many replies are still missing/adding info and the thread grows more confusing each day, it might be a better idea to hold off on posting until you can report on the actual outcome?

The only people that are confused are those that want to be. From the very first post the OP has been clear about the problem.
