I think any short weekend 4nts or less florida cruises could fall into the "party weekend cruises" MSC save money by have less staff and less space per person then Royal. Also they are backed up by their shipping company so not in the huge debt that royal is. But their ships are stunning and a more European feel. Very good value for us in the UK IMO as the Graturites are included in the fare and rhey openly say no need to tip onboard.

We have booked. MSC 7nt world Europa out of bacelona in april. P&O Azura 14nt out of malta in July Indy 9nts i think out of Southampton July 2025. Allure 7nt out of Barcelona Oct 2025. We picked these cruises for The ship/deal ,world Europa, Indy and Allure Destinations Azura. Certainly not loyal to Royal. I dont agree with their nickle and dime policy or graturites but if royal have a good deal and i know what "extras" i wont be using then i will look at them. But i wont stay with just Royal.

Totally agree. Modern society..." Its always someone elses fault". People should take responsibility for their actions and own them. Hold your hands up and say its my fault and use that as a lesson to others.

We are staying in the holiday inn express NEC. Got a room, breakfast and parking package. However i understand you dont need the parking but i have stayed at that hotel before and people have uber car shared to airport.

Thanks to the OP for asking this question. We are doing a fly cruise in July to Malta and had the same question. A further question. Whats the process for the final day for those with late flights, ours is 7pm. I know there are tours then off to airport. P&O used to offer day rooms to stay on the ship for late flights. Do they still offer this service? Or can we get off have a walk round malta then back on to meet transfer? Would we have to take all our hand luggage? Thanks all.

I see OBC as this A cruise is £2000 i get no OBC. I spend £500 onboard. A cruise is £2500 i get £500 OBC i spend nothing exta on board. Works out the same. So OBC deals has its pros and cons but it all boils down to if there is any promotion for your cruise. For us on our last P & O we had £750 OBC and struggled to spend it really. Even though it was OBC i still felt ripped off at the prices of goods in the onboard shops. Ended up lots of stuff for daughter 😂 As for saver v select. I really dont care where my room is, and i always work out if the difference matches the benifits by researching Southampton parking, OBC, port shuttle etc.

Has anyone actually answered the OP or it it just 3 pages of you must tip, no you dont, yes you do, no you dont,but you must, no i dont.......etc etc

I am always looking at other cruise lines and i am not "loyal to Royal". Whoever has the best deal, ship and ports is the company who gets my ££££.

19 october 2025. Its school holidays for our daughter here in lincolnshire. 👍 Will book the flights to barcelona late dec 2024 as thats when the best flight sales are on for october 2025 flights.

Uk here too. Having been on Anthem and Allures sister ship Oasis i would pick Oasis class every time. So much more to do, central park, relaxing, the water shows are a must etc. if Allure gets the same amplification as Oasis then its going go be great. We have Allure booked for October 2025 around the med.

Seeing the videos and reading the reviews the pools decks when sailing full are a concern of mine. I just dont think there is enough in the sun area around the small pools on ICON. Of course i could be wrong but will wait till full ship reviews and price drops before i consider ICON.

0 for me to spend as tips are already included i am not tipping extra for somone to get me a drink or serv me quicker. Its their job and plenty of Graturites already added. I do take cash but its just emergency cash if needed. 👍

You will be on before me if your going july 2025. My cruise is 19th October 2025. So yeah eager to find out what they amp. As long as water slides, el loco fresh and bbq i will be a happy chappy. 👍

Have booked allure for Oct 25 from Barcelona. Taking my sister and her family and my parents in law on their first Oasis class ship. Really looking forward to her amplification dated Feb-April 25. Oasis we found so much better after she had been amplified for US. Proper family ship and things to do.

Europe, full of history, lots of port visits to big cities and historical sites. Beautiful beaches. Great multi national people Caribbean, gorgeous islands, great culture and people. However you could visit an island jump on a ship sail away from the island for the night, all the signs on the island changed to a different name and sail back to the island you just left in the morning, how many would notice?. I love both, but if forced to choose id go the med, Eastern med first then western med

I do feel for the OP. No one wants to miss a holiday and be out of pocket due to their own admin error. I can understand how it can be messed up, esp for those of us with more then one passport. I would imagine the Hungarian passport neded a ESTA to go with it and the OP didnt have their other boarding docs, Birth cert, driving Licence etc for closed loop US trips. Lesson leart for all.

As a parent i know my family would really enjoy Icon, however not at the prices. Yes it offers more then Oasis class but still not enough to warrent the price. We have a week booked on Allure in Oct 25 for 2 adults, 1 child for £1735. Icon is easy double that price. My main concern about Icon is the pools and area to sunbathe. The pools look small and shallow and the top deck just looks cluttered and covered. Most of the pics i have seen the sunbeds are few and far between and in the shade. The kids area looks like it's for younger children, maybe up to 8 years old. 🤔. Water slides do look great though.

Whilst people still buy it they will charge for it. Not Royals fault..... 🤷

Class of RCL ship 1, Oasis 2, Freedom Went on Brilliance and Anthem and didnt like them so will stick with only the Oasis and Freedom class ships. Not yet sold on Icon, dont think there is enough deep ish pool space or sun loungers in the sunny areas. Just seems crammed but keeping my opinions open as more reviews come in when she is full.

Totally agree, i will more then happily stick to my inside room nad buffet food, no wifi, or drinks pckage even though i can afford a balcony room the extra packages. I just prefer apending my money on more cruises then optional extras i dont really need or want. Still have a great time.

We are going on world europe in april out of Barcelona. Watch out for a review as we have also recently been on Oasis. Have sailed MSC before and they are good value for money
