  1. Been -1 most mornings here near Southampton. Bit better today.
  2. Data protection wouldn’t allow their storage beyond what they were needed for namely, your cruise. I always upload the same photo from either my phone or iPad and never had a problem.
  3. I can’t see where it says there are no refunds. It just says no compensation if the item is not available. I am sure U K trading standards would not allow a blanket no refund policy of some description especially if the item was no longer available. They can’t just take your money and say sorry refund, no can do.
  4. I don’t know any line that charges more than 200%. P&O and Cunard as standard charge 175% but they occasionally have specially offers on late bookings where there is lots of capacity. Princess is 200% so would never sail with them on principal.
  5. Good mix of voyage lengths too. I think there will lots of demand.
  6. Oh that’s good, glad you sorted it. If you book again make sure it’s the same number. If it’s not just ring them and they will sort it. It’s not a problem just irritating to have to ring.
  7. I am not sure you do. I think it’s visible when you book your next cruise. You see it on the confirmation letter . It may well be on your booking confirmation for your first cruise. You don’t really need it for anything if you have no future bookings. If you do book again make sure you say it’s a repeat booking or you may be allocated another number.
  8. I don’t drink much but my adult children who like a cocktail a beer and glasses of Prosecco were happy with the prices and felt thy compared favourably to what they pay in the sort of establishments they frequent. Interestingly the Cunard beer is brewed at an Artisan Brewery a short walk from where they live but sadly not available for sale as it’s both my son in laws go to beer when onboard.
  9. UK fares include all port fees and taxes. They are not billed or shown as separate items.( No refunds are paid for missed ports.)The advertised online price adjusted obviously for cabin grade/ position is the final price to pay with no added extras.
  10. I walked all round deck 8 corridors and looked in the Verandah and could see no difference whatsoever except new carpet on the floors. No new exit to deck 8.
  11. At the end of the day it’s not really an issue for me. Mayflower is easier to drop luggage off before parking as I come into Southampton that way. ( I only live 20 miles away). I work several days a week in Southampton near the docks and enjoy ship spotting even the Isle of Wight ferries !! Watching the huge container ships come in and out always fascinates me.
  12. Yes I had never been there before . Check in was very quick but Security was incredibly slow and then quite a queue on the air bridge. Hopefully won’t have to go there again. Ocean is my favourite just because it’s within walking distance to where I park my car and saves a taxi fare .
  13. More confusing. I got off on the 19th and we definitely were at Mayflower. We left from QEII but most definitely returned to Mayflower.
  14. I was confused too. I couldn’t visualise the process. Didn’t even fit for QEII Terminal. You have to show your O K to board at security so how could you do that if you have not checked in yet.
  15. Do you actually know how much they pay their staff and what their terms and conditions are to judge if they are paid a decent wage ?
  16. You can’t combine your allowances on the same package. You could buy some days at the higher rate then use the other allowance towards the end of the journey for the whole voyage package at 15 $ a day.
  17. Oh I am onboard next week will check . Definitely not on QM2 in May August September or November
  18. I made a return crossing from UK solo and loved it. I would definitely do it again after I have ticked off a few other want to do voyages. I keep my self to myself out of choice. There were plenty of opportunities for solos to mix on sharing tables and other activities. There will be plenty of people to chat to. I got back after 14 nights and couldn’t believe where the time had gone. You will love it. The WiFi was good and I could keep in touch back home.
  19. They don’t sail from Southampton so as someone should doesn’t fly that’s a big no from me. I don’t think £90 a week to get a few better drinks is in anyway a deal breaker for me either Besides I love sea days so will stick with Carnival.
  20. Sorry Selbourne I just don’t remember. It was a proper coach not a bus. They were running very frequently with very little wait time. They may have had an accessible coach alternating. It’s a shame if they don’t as I personally think it was a good option as I remember the train and the hop on hop off bus were quite expensive. I have a very poor sense of direction so if there is a shuttle bus option I take it. I am OK wandering around shopping areas as I remember the shop windows but random streets are a bit of a no no.
  21. Well I don’t go until the end of July so I am expecting to be told by then the balconys will be riddled with it and all the upholstery worn out and she will be in need of a refit. 🚢😂😂
  22. That’s your choice but please allow those of us who are looking forward to her the chancel sailing on her to do so without being made to feel like we are putting up with 2nd best. I am looking very much looking forward to my 2024 14 nights voyage I also have several other bookings on QV and QM2 but there is still time an capacity for further Queen Anne bookings. At least with all those on here not wanting to sail there will be plenty of availability for those of us that do.
