Yes I agree with you... The K environment would seem much more ideal. But that is human thinking. Who knows what the whales think. We are booked for Victoria. Would have to call O, to unbook one and book the other. Could end up being a mess. Probably just need to leave it alone.

Yes. I guess they use this phrase, no matter what the real reason is. If they cancel Victoria, or Ketchikan, we will be done unless they do it post final pay, that too is possible. We booked whale watching out of Victoria but now that we will be in K, does anyone know if the whale watching is better there?

Thank you to all. I'm ok with the new port. But if I had booked a tour in Wrangel and it was cancelled, I would expect a refund without any issues. The other issue I have is that O let us know in an email that they were dropping Wrangel because of berthing issues. Now I see that they planned to go to K if the port was finished on time. Seems shady.

yes you are right there are 4 tours, with no prices. hope to be able to walk about...as of now, it is still not ready for Visitors. we have a whale watch tour from Victoria, maybe it would be better from Klawock, if they get it organized in time. We are on the sept 14 sailing.

We are off to Alaska again in September. Vancouver to LA. O just cancelled a port and substituted Klawock, Alaska for it. NO tours are available in this port. Anyone been here? Anyone ever hear of it? Nope not a joke.

all your loyalty perks on C are included on O for everyone...like all your sodas, wifi, etc... we are elite plus on C, but will not go back...in 3 years have built up a loyalty base on O and will now have 10 cruises under out belt, which includes gratuities and 250 OBCs...and yes we will get to a free cruise at 19, hopefully in not too distant a future. cant do that on C....we basically left C because of the Class system and the awful food if you are classless.....on O you dont feel there is a class system...whether you are on your 20th or your 1, you are not separated from your friends...

We love the Terrace and breakfast is wonderful. That just shows how different opinions can be. We left Celeb just before covid after over 50 cruises and have never looked back. Love O. However next Christmas we are going to be on the Celeb Reflection with our kids. They dont want the mega ships of RCI...so we will be back on C. Will enjoy it because we are with our family but it will be interesting as we have reached level 10 on O in 3 years to be back on a C ship. We are elite plus, but the benefits of loyalty do not compare to O.

Yes I agree that there are more options where to dine. That is not at all my point. An enlarged area for Baristas is needed, with so many enjoying it. My point is there is no need for a bakery, since it offers nothing new. Many here keep saying how much they enjoy the enlarged area. Agreed. The original topic is The Bakery. A bakery implies goods that differ from what is offered elsewhere. The number of times I have looked in for something different, I have not found anything new. Again, I mention cakes, pastries, breads, buns etc, that differ from other venues. Just like Aquamar, I expect menu items that are different from all other eateries on board and they ARE. Very different and very good. It is not an extension of the Terrace Buffet. Surely my point clear now.

As they are on all ships beside baristas, so why the need for the bakery? Unless of course it had something different to offer.

Yes tea time has excellent scones and cakes. None at the bakery.

I would like something different to justify allocating that kind of space and calling it a "Bakery". Yes more space for Baristas, that was probably needed, but not for a bakery that has little to offer to myself and others like me that have said so on the ship, but perhaps not here.

Yup baristas is good on Vista as it is on other O ships. The bakery, is another story. Not even sure why it's called the bakery. Not much baking going on. Extension of batistas is really not the topic. Its good there is more seating for coffee lovers. I would like to see items in the bakery that are NOT seen in the Terrace or other dining venues.

Waste of space. Need to let them know that they could offer so much more and create a space that would be in high demand.

We thought it was nothing special. Most items are already in the Terrace café at breakfast. Yes they have quiches. That is not what I think of when I think of a bakery. I think of a variety of pies, cakes, variety of breads, eclairs, etc. Of course that would be a nightmare if one thinks of the calories.

How does it compare to O?

We asked too and were told Vista does NOT have them, but we were not in a penthouse.
