Hi there Feta, Yes we miss the clock. Had it on all other O ships. Hope to see you on a future cruise. We will be back to Alaska in Sept. Just didn't get enough.

In November 2023, O changed the itin for a 14 day, in October, 2024 turkey , greece, israel to almost all Italy.... we cancelled as we have been to most of Italy but not so much Greece and Turkey.

Yes could hear the tv, talking, coughing. But really just took it in stride. The NO clock was annoying, asked for one and was told the ship has none. So yes have to bring my own clock.

we found none of the announcements made any difference... one couple reserved two in the sun and two in the shade, left for considerable amount of time... we were seated next to them in the shade and made a comment that should not be doing that, their response was , we dont speak english. Since I dont speak German, that was the end of the conversation. Im sure it made no difference to them what the announcements said.

That's a very expensive way to solve this problem. Besides we are not the butler types.

Any strategies for getting a table for 2 only? We have unfortunately not enjoyed sharing the table on our last 4 cruises. Prior to covid, that was not the case. You could get some "interesting " people, but mostly amiable. Its easier if there are 8 and you can just stay quiet, but then you are there upwards to 2.5 hours. Its deadly if there are just 4 of us and the conversation starts with politics. If you object to that, it becomes even worse. I have tried a variety of ways to prevent that from happening, none of them successful. What was successful, is going to the Maître d' upon entering and explaining why we need to sit by ourselves.

We found that many doing that itinerary were from Germany, most non English speaking.

that is the main reason we left C, after being elite plus....the food was unacceptable unless you were in a suite...and to pay suite prices, might as well sail O....love O...building up member status, now enjoying the silver status, that offers you so much more than elite plus on C....

At Embers last night. Hated the potato soup, salad had no taste shared the 21oz steak, it was good. The warm apple pie was not good. Yes we miss Jacques.

Pretty much not combinable with anything therefore useless to us. We book on board or with an fcc.

So you pay for SM but get nothing for it? O needs to see, this will turn off many would be clients. Those of us who love O, need to loudly proclaim that this policy needs amending.

I cant believe O would institute such a bad policy. You see a cruise, but it is just 6 months out. You go to tours, all are gone. You cant apply the credit to anything else. So you pay for something that you will not get?

what happens if you book very late, does that mean you pay for SM but get nothing for it, since all tours will be gone?

yes lots of patience....and lots of perseverance...

always have issues with this... where did the O email come from, will send them an email to the address they gave you...thanks...

yup there is that too....we are forced to hurry and book tours, or they will be gone...all before final pay, then some will cancel cruise and the tours may become available.... forcing the consumer into a very poor way to deal with this SM policy. Someone in charge needs to act fast to rectify a very poorly thought out policy.

for me it is not about how we like O, or how we like others... its about the way lines raise their prices... raise the rate, fine...but dont start fudging with the new SM that you have just rolled out and want people to swallow....give them time to digest it before you change it again... yes some need a longer time to digest than others...but only a couple of months of SM is just too short to already introduce a change....bad policy decisions...

what does it have? can you print boarding passes?

yes I agree with that...I dont agree with taking a lot of clothes... so many lost their suitcases that it was an ongoing topic on the ship.... the laundry is fabulous....

dont see why vista would be any diff than the other O ships... just got off 20 days on Marina, TA, Spain, Portugal, Carib jeans, shorts... in dining room, casual pants, even jeans with collar shirt.....in specialties also... love O how casual it is...we travel with carry ons and do laundry....

Just off Marina, the best meals we had were on Jacques, dover sole, crepes, best baguettes. Will miss Jacques.

I complained about multiple issues on the Marina, we are on a BtoB , at reception two days ago. Was told someone would be in touch with us. Nothing yet.
