wow, didnt know it would be so difficult... we are relatively new to O....only 3 cruises....50 with Celeb....have RCI shares, only took a day or two and the response would be direct from Celeb...no need to bother the TA.... this is certainly different to say the least....

yes sent my TA an email to get us something in writing.... he should have done that without me having to ask....we cant just assume it is there if we have no way of proving it.....

anyone use Air transat with a carry on? how strict are they with the carry ons...hate to buy new luggage over one inch.

I went to "manage your booking"...but there is nowhere that says view credit....so there is nothing on the account for me to see.... all I have is a letter from my TA saying that we got it...but no other info.... guess I have to get the TA to give me an updated invoice....otherwise I will have an issue when on board....

Yes that is correct, as I thought, so in my case since the price has gone up, the labor day sale does not have the same value. Also the selection is of no interest to me for a new booking.

our price has gone up....so not worth it...does anyone think you can upgrade but keep your original price? I wouldnt think so....

left this one to respond to others at the time but here it is now... being able to afford in my case is about making what I spend more important than what I earn...in fact that is how the average person becomes a person of means...the spending is what gets many in a very debt like situation...very difficult to climb out of... the other point is that , sailing with O is less expensive than sailing in a suite on Celeb....but you dont have to put up with kids or with all the activities that we do not value...a suite on Celeb segregates you from those in "steerage". I dont value that segregation. In fact when they started to build a wall in the dining room, I knew that was the end of cruising with Celeb.

Have no idea why the hold up for us, unless they are not doing November yet.

Our Jan 4 has gone up 200 pp ...and it may go up again before the sale.....so cancelling and rebooking to get 4 cat upgrade is not worth it to us.

This itin is not included in the Labour day sale. That is what I meant by, no Alaska from Van to Los.

Thats great as long as the price has not gone up. Hate to bother my TA only to find out that the price has changed. Would love to see it in US dollars, then I would know without having to ask.

Ah well if there is a price increase I will stay in my lowly B3 category. Cant see the price in US dollars, even though we pay in US. On line can only see CAD prices and cant bother each time to call to check prices. Very annoying. Oh can also see it in British pounds on a certain website.

Yes I can view the cabin availability as well and will suggest which cabin to get. There is NO Alaska, from Vancouver to LA....not interested in doing the west coast...did it when Seattle and San Francisco were safe and with less issues. Van to LA still includes Astoria...a lovely port, especially if you have read the book about John Jacob Aster.

Nothing to Alaska in Sept of 2023....I double checked....did I miss it? Have Jan 4 booked, Mia to MIa, will see if TA can get us an upgrade...yes I know it is for new bookings only....but some here seem to say that sometimes their TA was able to do it.....

Its getting out of Toronto that may be the problem...still voted the worst or second worst airport in the world..with Ottawa being second... we are going in November( transatlantic), we initially had O air and would fly over night to Barcelona. With what is going on in our airport, we decided to go two days earlier, cancelled the O flight to be able to maneuver our own....hoping that two days ahead will be enough to get there... also for the first time since we started cruising, a good 25 years ago, we are going with a knapsack and a carry on...just too many horror stories with luggage...and even if your luggage arrives, you can be waiting for it for hours... travel has become very difficult, many have given up since coming home sick or seeing so many get sick...but we are still hoping to be able to find enjoyment amidst all the obstacles.... johthomas100z at gmail dot com

yes I must have missed it...many others may do the same...the stuff in brackets has become very important to me now...will not make that mistake again.... unless O provides transportation to Barcelona, many may feel like we do and opt to skip this itinerary...too bad really, it goes to some wonderful places, places we have not been to...

correction, not 200 miles away...more like 95 but maybe 200$ for a transfer....

in any case, just too complex an undertaking for us... seems this itinerary may go on sale if others find it also problematic....

I took a close look at the itinerary and saw that Portsmouth is not the only dilemma....the itinerary also has Barcelona in brackets, with Tarragona being the port instead, 200 miles away from Barcelona and very costly to transfer... so looks like this itinerary is just too complex for us....will go to Alaska instead....lol.... let me know if I can repay your kindness.... johthomas100z at gmail dot com jhhthomas100z at gmail dot com
