They do an overnight so that people who have been on the ship and are continuing on the next segment have an opportunity to go to Machu Picchu (or other time-consuming shorex). You would normally check-in on the 19th. You will want to contact Oceania (which you're doing) if you want to check in on the 20th...not sure what they'll say since part of the check in process involves local port authorities (not O employees). We still had time restrictions when we went (more flexible now)...stayed in Aguas Calientes one night and wished for more. Actually we wished we had hiked the Inca Trail but there's always something fun and interesting that you "discover" once there, so no regrets! Enjoy what you have time fore...MP is worth the trip, even if just for one day. I need a vacation from vacationing after traveling for 3 weeks, so I don't see us ever doing the ATW or other lengthy vacays but who knows 😉

If you enjoy DIY, I recommend staying in the town at the base of Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes) for at least 2 nights (depends on how much exploring you want to do). That way you avoid the "day crowds" who fly up for the day from Lima. The mornings are very peaceful. You'll also want 1-3 days to acclimate to high altitude before doing anything too energetic; going to Cusco and surrounding areas first is good since you can take leisurely walks. Enjoy researching!

They had plastic tops on Regatta in September. They will also use your travel mug if you bring one.

The actual layout shows when doing a dummy-booking. Since the beds are not standard sizes anyway, I think a custom width bed (bigger than twin) that would allow a comfortable chair with a pull out foot rest under the reading light by the window would be a great addition. That window in 6030 is a great viewing location when the crew has a safety drill!

@Firstin87 You can see the complimentary laundry form and the regular laundry form at steamboats photo review in the photos of the penthouse suite. Marina is very similar to Riviera so you may find the entire review interesting. I have only used the self-serve laundry and hand washing in the bathroom since I am picky (nutty?) about how my laundry is done. There were empty veranda cabins for quarantine purposes on our recent Regatta cruise (not used as far as I could tell). I seem to remember that O will move an ill person to a veranda cabin if they are booked in a C-category of below, but i can't confirm.

I've been wanting to ask what may be the silliest question on this forum, and a little fun seems appropriate, so here goes: What is your favorite Bulgari toiletry scent/color? I have only tried the blue and the green, and I lean toward blue. This is shocking to me since I usually buy almost everything fragrance free from my local hippy-friendly store, although I sometimes buy things like dish soap or hand soap with essential oils. I got addicted to the blue lotion and (gasp!) took my partially used bottle home. I was so disappointed to find out that this is not a product that is carried typically in stores. So, every once in a while, I go into the guest bathroom, flip open the blue lotion cap, and pretend I am sailing on Oceania...aaaahhhhhh!!!!!! I look forward to someday trying white and the elusive red. Please tell me about your favorite.
