  1. Hmmmmm - I've heard another side to this story. It appears Princess was justified in its actions. I would refer readers to Princess forum and get the real story.
  2. I've heard sometimes Princess opens it up to children if they're accompanied by an adult. I think they've done this on some Alaska cruises this year.
  3. Got off the Sky a couple of weeks ago. First time I didn't get sick when I arrived home!
  4. I'd keep it with me. Last cruise on Sky, my bag didn't arrive until after we departed FLL. I was freaking out!
  5. It's not bad. I few minutes. I paid to have mine shipped but it never made it.
  6. I wouldn't have the Medallion/accessories shipped to my home (e.g. pay for shipping) as I've found it doesn't make it. Mine didn't but Princess told me to pick it up at boarding. It wasn't there either. Day 2 they found it and gave it to me. I wouldn't preorder anything - just buy the accessories, etc. onboard.
  7. saw lots of men without jackets on formal night. Myself (got back from the Sky last wees), I just wore a lovely blouse and black, flowy pants, and atrappy sandals.
  8. Just disembarked the Sky last week at 0700. Had to carry off all my luggage but it only took me five minutes to be outside and on my way.
  9. Parking at the port is very, very convenient.
  10. Haven't gotten Covid and only know two people have. Both had mild symptoms - much like mild cold symptoms.
  11. Before law school, I was a flight attendant for a major airline. Got sick often. Those flying metal tubes are virus/bacteria collectors. Recycled air and close quarters. Once I quit, I only got sick after cruises!!!!!!
  12. I-595 to Sawgrass Highway and then the Turnpike if one parks at Terminal 21.
  13. You have fared better than I. The last time was after a Caribbean Princess Panama Canal cruise Thanksgiving 2019. Great cruise. Moment I arrived home, though, I fell ill for three weeks. Now I live in Florida and, at least, don't have to fly and inhale the air of 300 people sitting around me.
  14. Don't count on getting them in the terminal either. I ordered customized wristbands and no one could find them in the terminal or on the ship. They did provide me with non-customized bands and gave me a substantial refund. Princess found them the 2nd day and delivered them to our cabin (this happened to many passengers). So now I have two wristbands (was provided the 2nd pair for free).
  15. I'd do some research and compare with other, third-party, insurance policies for coverage and price.
  16. I was on this particular cruise, too. Only time I haven't gotten sick upon disembarkation since 2013. Hope you feel better soon.
  17. Yes. Just happened on the Sky Princess. Left out of Terminal 21 and docked at Terminal 2. No biggie. Princess had USAA shuttles right outside to take us back to Terminal 21 to get our car.
  18. The key thing is to read the policy and especially the definitions as some of them exclude any arrangements not made by Princess Cruises or Princess Tours (This is for the Princess Vacation Protection insurance). Third-party insurance thru other companies may differ.
  19. Just park at the port. It's easy and convenient.
  20. This just happened to me. Sky Princess departed out of Terminal 21 because Enchanted was docked at Terminal 2. We disembarked at Terminal 2. Disembarked and was directed to an area right outside to wait for USAA shuttles (I presume Princess provided these). Waited for about 8 minutes and several shuttles arrived. Very smooth and efficient. I wouldn't stress about this at all.
  21. Still $15. Just paid the parking tab at FLL port. Very convenient to just walk to and from ship. Moreover, I don't like leaving my key fob with the offsite parking companies.
  22. I just reviewed my policy (Zurich Insurance through a large warehouse travel agency starting with C*****) and any such delay is covered, and hotels, etc. don't have to be arranged by Princess. No need to get airline delay confirmation. Only receipts are required. Total benefit of $2,000 (subject to a max of $200 per day).
  23. I couldn't even access my email account on most days during the cruise. Simple things like accessing a news website, etc. will be fine, but any complicated stuff is probably out of the question unless she can get off while in port and attempt it there.
