  1. My understanding is that the older ships give cash to spend as you wish but the newer ships have Fun chips and free play on the machines? I got cash on the Sunshine but special chips on Horizon.
  2. I have Drinks everywhere offer and 500 Funplay. We booked 1 cabin under my offer but my son had the same offer. I have sent an inquiry to the following. My understanding is that they will honor his offer as long as it is the same rate code? https://oceanplayersclub.com/contact/
  3. I am a board as well but only doing the 7 day. I feel bad you had such a bad experience with your cabin. Our attendants have been amazing. We are on 9. I have enjoyed the food and service. A few hits and misses? I will do a full review later totally bummed also that marina day was canceled. We had a wonderful time in portofino before the downpour. Got a new Louis! Best service ever.
  4. So glad everything going well on Sojourn! We board next Sunday. I am beyond excited.
  5. Curious about the Casino on the Sojourn. Since it is a Med cruise do they use Euros as currency? Also what games are aboard. I know there are only about 3 tables? Thanks
  6. Sailing Sojourn June 26th. Finally seeing menu items on the app. Curious if we can try multiple items? There are nights nothing looks appealing and others where I want to try multiple? Also curious if anyone has tendered in Bandol. Thanks
  7. I think it is a US thing. We tip certain service positions and not others. I have tipped over the amount for exceptional service even when it is already included. You don’t see it already included much in the US unless you have a larger party at dinner? Our Country club includes a service charge on all food items. I don’t consider this a tip and always give extra. In the US these positions rely on tipping to make a decent wage. It is interesting how different parts of the world feel about this issue. Would we tip our excursion leader? How about car services? What about porters or bellmen? We have traveled a lot but always to places where tipping is common.
  8. I know it is included but curious if people tip more while on board? I have read that Europe doesn’t have the tip culture of the US. It just seems weird to not tip a server or the room steward?
  9. We are doing a Med cruise in a few week. My husband doesn’t mind wearing a sport coat and dress shirt on formal night but the Tommy Bahama look is a fave of ours. We even went to a wedding in Florida where the groom and groomsmen wore this kind of attire. Curious on the shorts/jeans at the colonnade and Earth and Ocean. We were planning on just eating in our cabin if we didn’t want to dress up after a long touring day. Also curious about menus offered en-suite? The Restaurant seems to have the most options.
  10. Honesttly, Viking the only line I have seen that is testing everyday, Personally it affected my decision to do Seabourn in the Med this summer instead. It is already stressful to test pre and post trip. I would have a hard time enjoying myself is constantly worried. At the premium price they charge, it is not worth the stress compared to the other luxury brands. I will sail them again when this is over, I actually already had Covid and have been vaccinated and boosted and Still scared of being quarantined!
  11. I went into set up my Verifly for our flight to Rome on the 23rd. It said that all Covid restrictions were gone? I do not even have to upload my vaccinations.
  12. I got an email from Seabourn that specifically said we could use VeriFLY to board. I tried to set up in the App and VeriFLY doesn’t have a Seabourn option?
  13. We are boarding on the 26th. Any at the moment reports are appreciated. Thanks!
  14. I am sailing on her late next month and I am hoping for some reports from when she finally restarts June 6. I will feel better when she is back in service but curious about the staffing/quality with it being out for so long. Fingers crossed for good reports:)
  15. You are stuck at my favorite port! I am assuming the people most upset are the ones who needed to be home on Saturday. Hopefully no one loses a job or anything.
  16. Losing the port contract in Charleston in 2024:(
  17. I bet the Liberty was booked at higher capacity?
  18. First I was wondering if frozen drinks were included in the half price Carribbean happy hour? I also was wondering how people stock up on beer? I have seen a food menu online. Do all the Red Frog pubs serve food for a fee? Thanks
  19. I preordered one for our upcoming cruise. I know it is better to go further down but honestly I do not want to go pass the pirate bar. If we are off early, where would be a good spot for music but away from the initial crowds? I also read that people have pre booked and they were sold out/none availabe by 10am? Curious about this?
