Since I get drinks everywhere with my casino offer, I do not have a dog in this fight but someone should try to negotiate/suggest a compromise? JH might listen? How about just 1 bottle per stateroom?

I think you will have some people offended by this. Personally, I am only a Red (21 days) but I would consider myself a seasoned cruiser.

Well that would be me but as much as I lost in the Casino I should have just purchased Cheers! I do know they have had some sailings for really cheap over the last year even to non gamblers. Prices are normalizing but people are already booked at those cheaper rates. I saw rates of $25 per night pp plus taxes and fees. People can not do a land vacation that cheap? I am all for new people trying cruising but with these kind of rates you will get Motel 6 cleintele. I know Carnival needed to run the sales to fill the ships but bad behavior kinda followed. I feel bad for the loyal cruisers who have not done rum runners and paid the high prices to do the honest way to have a cocktail on thier balcony.

Has anyone thought is a means to fix the sale problems? They have been giving away cruises so cheap that they are getting cheaper clientele? Thus the problems with fightning and such. By doing this they might price out these customers who can not afford the drink packages or prices per drink? Not to say these same customers might not just do Rum runners but carnvial is probably hoping to make it too costly for them to overendulge or make them reconsider sailing? It is actually alot like the water bottles not being allowed to be brought onboard anymore. Everyone paying for a few bad eggs.

A TA posted in one of my Facebook groups that it was gong away but they thought it was a couple of days away! We are all reporting it is gone from the funshops. People who had it in their carts are also reporting the items gone. If they were already purchased than you can still see them so some people may have gotten lucky? I can not beleive they did not give some notice?

I think tipping has gotten out of control since the service industry was having a hard time finding employees? I am amazed at the counter service places that now ask for a tip? And many have a default setting? If they bring it to you at the table, maybe I understand but otherwise it is just there so the employar can pass off the need to pay more. I usually tip 1-2 on top of every drink on my cruises but definitely more if they bring it to me. I am glad Carnival is starting to get soda machines on lido. It was crazy how the bartenders had to get everyone sodas. Little kids at the bars and all.

I am not happy. There are 5 excell suites available on my sailing. Unfortunately, these suites don’t come with my casino offer. I would pay 4000 more, lose drinks everywhere and 500 Funplay? The problem is the only way my husband agreed to go on such a large ship was the possibility of loft 19 cabana. He loved the Havana on Horizon but would not be happy with this area on Mardis Gras. Personally I wouldn’t pay for a cabana if I already had a sweet balcony and could use the area for free. I am curious how much it was discounted? The only price I saw was the 2250 for the transatlantic which would be totally worth it considering everyday is a seaday?

The lady in my Facebook group called carnival fun shops and they are indeed sold out fir her sailings on Celebration. She is upset because she hadn’t even seen it pop up as available to book yet until the sale yesterday. She is an excel suite guest who has booked the cabanas before. It was just a pop up window on the screen about the sale. Not listed in excursions.

I’m pretty confused. I really was hoping to get one as well. I did read that this sale was for the Celebration transatlantic but I’d be interested if others are seeing it sold out for their sailing as well? Someone in my Facebook group, staying in Excel suites in November and March says it says sold out on both her sailings? Personally I’d pay full price so hopefully some still available and it is just a glitch?

I got an pop up to that the Cabanas on our spring break April 1(Mardis Gras) sailing were on sale. I am not booked in an Excell suite but was hoping/planning on booking a cabana for the week. It looks like they are all sold out? I honestly did not think the Excell guests would pay the premium since they already have access. I am curious if anyone in a suite sees the same thing? Are they really selling out?

Curious about the locations of the cabanas. How are they number wise located on the deck?

Curious if you think we could rotate the wristbands? We have 3 couples going so 6 instead of 5. We would like to rotate use over the course of the week. We would probably do girls time/ guys time or rotate days? Do they care as long as not over 5? 6 would make more sense.

We will need a spare keys for our cabin since we are switching cabins once on board. Do Suites have a priority line at guest services? I know guest services lines is long on the 1st day. Thanks

I do the same. I use it in the Casino so can always cash out if needed. I like uploading to Cruise Cash so I KNOW it is there. No surprises on board. I accidentily deleted one of my ecards and it was a pain to get the email reisssued.

Facetime calling worked well on the value plan for me. I do think it depends where you are located in the ocean when you need to do the call. If you have AT and T you can use some plans in Mexico and the Carribean. My husband was able to do a work call from Grand Cayman. Sea days are dicey especially during the day.

Even the Sunshine has the Scenic ocean view cabins on the forward of deck 9. I have one booked under a free oceanveiw offer from the casino. Do a google search of these cabins. Pretty nice veiw and an remote control blinds.

I was able to use VeriFLY to easily breeze through the line in Charleston? I think you are right that you might have just got unlucky with a new/poorly trained associate? Definitely sounds like they were clueless! I had a 10 am appointment and was onboard just after 11? I am not platinum or diamond. The longest waits I had were sitting in the waiting area for our boarding zone(:30 minutes?) it got crowded and there weren’t enough chairs after a while? It was also a long line at the security lines once we were dropped off near the ship. I actually thought it went pretty well for a makeshift terminal. As far as parking, I thought $21 per day reasonable? The local hotels downtown charge up to $50 per night and the parking lot in city market is $30 per day. It is kinda ridiculous for a Southern town but obviously they get away with it.

I am using my Casino offer for an Ocean Suite. Excel suites were not available with a reduced rate. It will be worth the 2000 for the week. It was 6500 for 2 people in an forward excell the week I booked. I am still paying thousands less to do an Ocean Suite and a Cabana. That is if they are still available!

I definitely want to do this for our Spring Break cruise. I plan on stalking the website to get one as soon as they come available to non excell suite guests. Personlly, I would not bother with the upcharge to a Cabana if I had one of the Exel suites and already had the area included. I think it would be worth the elbow room on sea days!

If you have anytime dining you will be able to make reservations once onboard on the hub app. Set dining times have to wait until 7:45 to try and eat at these optional spots.
