  1. I do think the actual itinerary and season make a huge difference. I know the presidential and corner Aft excel suites go 1st because they have hot tubs in the decks. The front corner suites are actually still available on my spring break cruise so not as in high demand but still over 6500 for 2 people. I agree it is supply and demand.
  2. They also still list Cucina and Chibang as paid food options. The IT department is very bad about information. I think the XCel ships are so different that they can not be lumped in with the rest. Need to be a separate info sheet. It will be interesting if they take it away from suites now that faster ti fun back. Then excell suites might be the exception.
  3. I am also curious which Wi-Fi plan you have? Seems like you have a good connection for uploading pictures.
  4. Does the beer on the brewery tour count towards your 15? I was curious because I was thinking of doing the mixology class but don’t want to waste my drinks on something I won’t like?
  5. This is in Mardis Gras. I am assuming the price of the suites on that ship justifies a line at guest services.
  6. Hey! I was able to prebook using the link below! Do it on a PC or chrome book. Sign into your carnival booking before hitting the link! Phone didn’t work! All 12 were open although the 50tg anniversary banner said sold out!
  7. I did the same on my last cruise. I left a $20? In hindsight probably should have left more since not gratuity was prepaid?
  8. I think this is something they should have thought of before they went back on sale? They are clearly selling something that might not be included? All they had to do was change the wording before selling Again? This is not the 1st time the IT department screwed up something simple? Personally I bought it but will be happy if the just let me drop off my sodas/wine. I do think the price should be lowered if they can’t give you all the benefits?
  9. I got this link to work for my April 1st cruise. All 12 were open even though the banner about the 50th birthday sale said they were sold out. Make sure leave the tab open for carnival already and are already signed in, It took me to the booking page and you can pick your cabana. It did not work on my phone, Just my chromebook.
  10. because it is by cabin not buy person.I couldn’t get it to work on my phone but when I switch to my laptop it popped up with a different screen where you chose which cabin/person. Until you get to that screen you haven’t really put it in your cart. Make sure you just do it for one person not both because it is by cabin not buy person.
  11. I’m probably going to book for my kids spring break interior cabin this weekend. I have the suite across the hall but was going to board later since they don’t get priority. It is Mardis Gras and Easter so assuming it will be crazy busy. Anything to improve the waiting will be worth it. Might rethink it if it is a watered down version of what we had on Horizon in 2019.
  12. We drive from NC and always break up the drive. Drive 6-7 Stop just past Jacksonville. We have even driven to Miami and the Keys that way as well. It makes sense when flights are too expensive and you have more than 2 people.
  13. We have done Glory with our teens but now that we have done Horizon we will not be going back to the smaller/older ships. We are driving to Port Canaveral in April and will be driving right past 2 other ports on the way down. Glory was fine from Miami with 4 ports and only 2 sea days but if 3 sea days, we would get bored.
  14. Definitely not worth it until the later cruises in December. The 16 day window is already available for the 1st weekend in December cruises. So they will not be able to benefit from that paid service unless they are allowed to board any time?
  15. I agree that it is not as much of a benefit now if the benefits above are the facts? I also bet they will be raising the price. It was 119 on my last Horizon cruise and totally worth it! I might book for my Mardis Gras cruise in April and cancel if the reports are bad for the product? I am predicting at least 159 for the newest ships?
  16. Was the Loft 19 banner about the sale? I see that but it says sold out when I click on it.
  17. Keep us updated about possibly seeing this in your planner. I am stalking the site for my cruise.but from all accounts it is way too early.
  18. I would do the Havana on a Vista class ship every time. I did not book it on Mardis Gras. It is a small area on the side of the ship. The Havana on vista class is more like the summer landing area on Mardis Gras and Celebration. Also note that the interiors on Mardis Gras and Celebration are even smaller than any other interior in the fleet. Also look if you will be above the theater? They practice during the day and have shows until late at night.
  19. I use the cards to pay for everything except the deposit. My CC has travel insurance for anything I buy with it so I should be covered if something happens as long as I paid anything for the trip with it. They are offered all the time but sometimes sell out. I used them to pay for Cucina last year but Carnival temporarily closed that venue because of staffing. They sent me a refund on a new Carnival gift card.
  20. That was an IT glitch meant for the spa that many got the benefit of using for other items. I missed out but at least Carnival honored the purchases.
  21. Where are the machines located on Mardis Gras? Is it just Lido?
  22. That is ridiculous! Your soda package has the 18 percent markup! I think the hardest part is the kids having to go to the bars. Really inappropriate and they get ignored.
  23. Read what I wrote above. They actually make more money from pre orders of beer vs buckets onboard. It will be interesting if they get rid of the vineyard package? I know that isn’t advertised much but probably worth it to people who only drink wine? This change is definitely directed at the $10-15 mixed drinks?
