  1. What's the difference between a gondola and a tram?
  2. You can get coffee, water and juice for free at the Buffet or any dining room.😎
  3. Not only that, but you can take the "good" pieces. 😎
  4. Is that better than showing up at 9:00 and having a drink in hand by 11:00? Asking for a friend...
  5. Some of us do a lot of things for ourselves that we could wait for others to do it for us. Why not??
  6. Really? What's the big attraction there? (serious question, I've never been)
  7. Thanks. We only received/used one on our last cruise. That was really just intended to familiarize us with the process. We'll likely use two from now on. It really is a nice perk! 😎
  8. Two cruises ago, they invited Platinum and Gold. Last cruise, just Platinum (but Gold DD traveling with us was approved to join us). (There was the usual mad rush to get on the ship - I get it. We got behind some other enthusiasts who decided to stop the line midway up the gangway to do selfies with the port building behind them. I politely (maybe?) said "excuse me!" and they took offense. That's cruisers for ya'!)
  9. NCL's website indicates that, for Platinum tier, "Laundry Service (per member) - 1 free bag." DW and I are both Platinum and received one bag from our room attendant stamped "Latitudes" on our recent cruise. I asked him if it was one per person, and he said no (but asked that we let him know if we were informed otherwise.) Have any of you who are a couple with Platinum status received two free bags? Thanks.
  10. I get wrapped around the axle with semantics in this realm. If a cruise has "no solo supplement," does that mean that: a) a solo cruiser pays twice the per person cost paid by a pair of travelers b) a solo cruiser pays the same per person cost paid by a pair of travelers
  11. When I said that I would want some assurance, I meant that I wanted more than some poster on the internet who says so. Maybe if we had multiple reports of folks using that service and being allowed to board NCL ships. Otherwise, I will stick with what I know works (CVS in person with eMed as a backup).
  12. Thanks! I now see it in the screen cap of the post two posts after yours. I'm not a solo passenger but DD is.
  13. Were are you folks seeing a symbol indicating a solo discount? Is it on the NCL website? Where? Thanks.
  14. Are you sure that they won't accept an electronic copy of both?
  15. That had to be it!! Either that, or they had highly trained structural engineers looking at it, executed a viable safe temporary repair and then kept sailing until a dry dock became available for a long term permanent repair. Nah... Couldn't be that. Had to be that they slapped on whatever was available and then panicked when the ship started taking on more water than the pumps could keep up with. 🤣 This here is priceless: How do you know that they won't just use Gorilla Glue in the dry dock? This is the evil/incompetent NCL.....
  16. Yikes! I didn't think that was a Slap Shot reference until I googled it. I've probably watched that movie 8 times. Darned old brain!
  17. That's a great point. CVS had my insurance information on file and didn't ask for any ID. I kind of like that, because they are healthcare providers, not amateur Covid police.
  18. How do you "scan" a vaccine card to verify its authenticity?
  19. Great. It looks like competition is doing its thing. I would just want some assurance that NCL would consider them an "approved" testing activity. I know that eMed is because it's specifically listed on the the NCL website.
  20. Sure. You just login to NCL.com and check your account summary.
  21. The last time I tried the chat, after telling them what I needed they gave me the reservations phone number.
  22. Yep. I've told my family there are two things I'm not going to attempt until Covid is long gone and things are (hopefully) back to normal. POA sailing and Disneyland. It may be one more year, two more years, who knows? Neither HI or Disneyland is going anywhere.
