  1. How long do you need to own the stock? Thinking I might as well buy 100 shares with how cheap the stock is right now. If my cruise is in January would I be good to buy stock tomorrow and submit my form the start of next week?
  2. Don't connect with Easter and don't go during spring break time. Better yet go look at Virgin or a 9+ night cruise that eliminates kids as parents don't want them out multiple weeks.
  3. Never get asked for my card and never had a erroneous charge my account in the Haven. Its just how it is as its a fairly small number of people/groups that they deal with. The hostess knows our name by the 2nd or 3rd time at most. They also leave a note for the waiter who we are so they don't need to ask. The bartenders don't really rotate so if you drink fairly often they know you fairly well as well. There is nothing "steerage" about your comment its just that the service in Haven is different than the main ship. One is meant to be a tailored lower capacity experience and the other is meant to be an amazing cruise on a large ship.
  4. So you agree something is broken then and the talk is just that talk. Honestly I view this as them realizing they need to downsize going in to the expected economic climate moving forward.
  5. So a TA not a cruise from readily available ports for Americans or Canadians to travel to. Just saying its great you got that list of ports but eliminate the 4-6 days of the TA and just sail that out of Miami.
  6. I think this shows they are still behind in the thinking of competing for US passengers. Flying in to those places from Europe probably isn't crazy different but when looking at from the Northern US its not even worth it unless the cruise was extremely less expensive with an amazing port selection. I had a hard time confirming my NCL Haven cruise in January and that goes from San Juan (a US port with quite a few flights from the US via Southwest/United/Delta) and was a crazy good price. Now something that would be of interest though would be if MSC did a 14 day with a 7 day one way almost like Alaska but in the Caribbean to hit a bunch of the Southern/Eastern islands.
  7. Yet another sign that they are trying to capture the US market not just import guests from Europe to fill their cruises.
  8. Have to love article titles that try to make you outraged.
  9. In general would you say renting a car is possibly a good way to go on many islands? Seems like we can easily get one most places. There will be 6 of us (2 kids which we have portable seat belt restraints) that would mean any excursions start to surge in pricing. Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, St Lucia, St Kitts I can go to the specific island forums but figured I would ask the overarching question first.
  10. Look at the ship tours of the area. Yacht Club area is very well put together and is different than what NCL really offers with the Haven. Possibly looking at the layout you might find that its better suited to how you might want to cruise.
  11. Your difference is all the food on Oceania is that way where as Prima is specific to a very limited number of individuals that have Haven access. The difference in quality of ingredients was stark between Haven and Non-Haven on Encore cruise last year.
  12. Next time keep an eye out for Whataburger, Culvers, Five Guys, and Mooyah all of which are great burger places with their own slight twist.
  13. By far the worst piece of food I have ever had that was cooked properly. Their buffalo sauce on the Encore in Sept '21 was so incorrect we actually made a second order a different day thinking they gave use the wrong sauce (they didn't). All the food inside of the Haven was great though and the wing were fine just the cause was off.
  14. If its like Royal I could use all of the meals though for 4 of us correct? They didn't care where they were coming from to cover everyone dining. My plan was to use all 4 on a single meal if thats possible?
  15. Showing all dock for all the ports on the cruise confirmation from 12/13/22 for this specific cruise.
  16. Oh its only a small fraction of the total vacation expense so it makes it completely fine..... Except they are doing small changes everywhere. There was just a video released by one of the cruise vloggers talking about this in the last week how its just a little here, just a little there, just taking this small thing away, just adding a new charge for this little thing. Which I think many people are saying means that they should be getting an actual salary related to that in addition to some additional tip if they do a great job. Which is drastically different as the US lost 10% of its egg production because of a flu going around within poultry. Those egg prices can also come back down just like how Pork, Milk, or others went up then went back down.
  17. I just noticed on my Epic sailing in January (just booked yesterday) they don't have Priscilla listed. Wonder if they are turning over when they hit the US possibly?
  18. I know those ports could be tender ports but not positive if they will be for sure. That week in St. Lucia as an example there are only 2 ships in port but the following week there are 3 so possibly one does tender then. Not completely sure as I just booked that cruise tonight and only started looking further in to the ports. Might have to contact NCL.
  19. Sorry that your cruise is a little rough regarding ports but hope the TA is fruitful in delivering other great experiences.
  20. Unlike everything else in the economy that isn't going up 25%.....
  21. And you keep it up to date how? Also you have accurate pricing on all dining, wifi, and drink packages across all brands. Sorry but honestly calling BS that its not a hassle compared to having it just listed and a baseline number that includes everything. As an example how would you know Princess increased their daily charges? How about recent drink plan changes on NCL where Crown Royal is $1+20% to purchase? All of these things are what I am talking about not being a good way of tracking or in certain circumstances being able to pull together. Additionally these prices can change between booking and cruising which is another issue as all of a sudden you can see various things change on your cruise ending up adding additional costs to the cruise.
  22. Right...... Okay do you have it for: Royal, NCL, Carnival, Disney, HAL, Celebrity, Princess, MSC? Now does it automatically update for all the various increases that keep occurring? Does it account for the other things being removed that you need to replace with payment like extra MDR dishes? Is there a way you found you could find the add-ons prior to booking if you were going to get a drink package or dining package? I could go on and on and on. Point being its a major hassle and these fees and optional upcharges should be laid out prior to booking and should be included in the baseline pricing that you book.
  23. Yes Just like I will pay more at a restaurant if tips were not expected either. Paid a ton of money at Sandals with the benefit of zero tipping outside of our butler. Others will get fired if they try to solicit tips. Pay a good wage, make the employees happy, and make it so that if someone doesn't perform you have others lined up for paying so well.
  24. If NCL, Royal, Carnival, and others can't afford to pay employees enough money to not need any tips at all then maybe they should go out of business? I like my position better than yours and something I stand by with restaurants as well when they say they "can't afford it".
  25. I have zero issues with companies raising prices, changing what is included or not, or anything else. Yes I may complain slightly or stop using them but they can do what they wish. What I do have an issue with is them have marketing materials showing its included and it not be. That is the main issue I have and something honestly that starts to blur legally what is allowed. You can just say "well things can change" yet leave up outdated information for extended periods of time to essentially trick people.
