  1. This is accurate. Wife and I are in our young 50's, don't care about Prime Rib and flaming desserts, bingo, dressing up in prom wear. We don't buy a drink package as we don't drink enough but will buy ALL the internet. If we want booze, we'll spend on top shelf. Membership levels are cute but there's nothing there that is substantial. We consider ourselves foodies, but cultural. Give me variety... Most of the complaints I see here strike me as really generational. Then again I'm GenX and nothing really phases us. We're just rolling with the vibe...
  2. We used a RomeCabs tour that picked us up at the port, took us to the sights we wanted, and took us back.
  3. Makes you question the veracity of their entire post. Reminds me of many a fishing story. I saw 1 drunk, therefore Celebrity is full of drunks.
  4. you gotta watch out for that band of miscreants eating fried food!.. those ne'er do wells'!
  5. Sailed many times on Celebrity on cruises out of US ports and others. Never seen the behavior described.
  6. Tip: Travel router. Buy 1 plan, and connect multiple devices (in-room only).
  7. Diapers on babies, Depends on Seniors. Everyone pee's in the hot tub/pool...Everyone.
  8. Appreciate you feel the need to post, but you don't owe anyone any explanation 🙂 Complainers be complaining...
  9. Agreed. I assume any 'veteran' wearing a hat indoors at the dinner table is an amazon veteran. Meaning they bought a hat but didn't earn it.
  10. The ones I really have an issue with are the older 'veterans' that wear their hats. I'm a veteran and I was taught to take my hat off when entering a room, especially a dining room. If you are going to espouse how you are a veteran with your hat, you should honor the etiquette and protocol you were taught.
  11. I agree. Without accounting for the funds from the cruise lines, who knows where it all goes. If it looks like revenue, smells like revenue, then its revenue and used accordingly. Lets not forget these are corporations and their sole purpose is to make money, not give it away 🙂 Just add it to the fare and pay a livable wage. Stop the guilt and virtue signaling nonsense.
  12. Pay no mind to the virtue signalers. Most of them don't actually do what they say they do...its all appearance.
  13. They signed a contract, and accepted a salary. There is no expectation of further income.
  14. mmm.. Love me some spaghetti. Would take that over prime rib every night.
  15. What?! Do you mean there isn't an insidious plot by Celebrity to remove or reduce food quality so they can feed us all hot dogs? Say it isn't so... All kidding aside, nice to see a reasonable post.
  16. No one on this board knows anything about you or your likes/dislikes. Asking random people on the internet for their 'recommendation' of anything is silly. Making your own informed decision is probably best.
  17. Perhaps if looking for exclusivity, a better choice may be Seabourne, or maybe Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection, vs the low-cost, mass-market cruise line where you have to rub elbows with the unwashed masses.
  18. This whole thread is both amusing, and sad on many levels all at the same time.
  19. It's not just desserts. Princess food quality is on par with Golden Corral at best. Extensive use of steamers and cooked by armies of unqualified line cooks that only know "steam for 2 min then serve". Semolina passed off as grits. Grilled scallops pale, rubbery with no grill marks. Cherry Cobbler with no cherries. Puff pastry with no filling passed off as yorkshire pudding. I could go on sadly. This is dining room food as well as buffet.
