I bet the waiters are delighted with this extra complication to the MDR service! Some courses chargeable, some not. They already have to do the drinks!
Glad you are OK. Had a suspicious mole removed a couple of weeks ago and wait for histology report was quite anxious. All benign though so very relieved.
My bank closed this week. Not really bothered as had not been in for a year! Not good for local businesses who want to pay in their cash takings. Knock on affect is that increasing numbers now do not take cash.
I cruised exclusively with Celebrity at the start and was Elite. However I stopped using them when single occupancy cost more than double!. They did not want solos. Stick to P&O now. Much cheaper and enables me to do multiple cruises per year. I always eat in MDR and find the food fine on the whole.
Once found a holdall under my bed containing a large bunch of keys (car and door) a prescription with the owners details on, and several other items. Gave it to Reception. How could anyone put their keys under the bed and then forget them? There is a safe for that sort of thing!
Ventura has dancing in the atrium most nights and Britannia in the Crystal room. Aurora in Masquerade and Arcadia in the Retreat (not a nice venue, a bit out of the way).
I got my company pension at 50 and state at 60. We are not all decrepit. Age is all in the mind. Have met 80 year olds who have more go in them than some 50 something's.
Weather is so unpredictable nowadays. Look at the recent storm in the Med. Poor Libya. However, this is coming up to storm season in the Atlantic so hope we are OK on the Arcadia Canada cruise in two weeks. It is a risk you have to take at this time of year.
P&O bathrobes are too thick and hot. I still use my old Celebrity one which is poly/cotton waffle, much cooler and more comfortable especially in warm climates.
There were art and crafts classes on Aurora last month and on the other Aurora and Arcadia cruises this year. Very well attended. Think they are more popular on the small ships and on longer cruises with more sea days. Hope they continue.
Not in my experience, particularly regarding lifts for wheelchair users, queues and crowding. .I am an older passenger so let's agree to disagree! Each to their own. 😊
Shame about your experiences. Don't know which ships you have been on lately but I get most of the above on Arcadia and Aurora. Smaller, more friendly and crew have more time to interact. Hope you continue to enjoy cruising. 🙂
No, they have been on sale for some time. Maybe you have missed the discussion about the changes of itinerary, and theme, over the past month or so. Spain and Portugal changed to Canaries, etc, and disappointing folk. See post #11.
