Many areas on Aurora were extremely cold during port visits, particularly overnighters. My cabin was cozy but corridor outside was freezing as I was two decks above the gangway opening. But only to be expected when in the Arctic in Winter!
Nothing kills norovirus except strong bleach (for sanitizing surfaces - not recommended for your skin!) Only hand washing (properly) with soap and warm water will remove the virus from your hands. Wish the ships would explain this to pax (although some will not take any notice anyway!) Just best to look after yourself.
Toulon old town is lovely, as is the beach (for lunch) which you can reach via the little train. Was happy when it replaced Marseilles, which I do not like, last year.
Got a quote on Aurora last week. Extra obc and 10% off on Select price only. Deposit was 10% (£450). However, I was interested in Saver price and was quoted £200 more than my TA. Did not book.
Don't see why not as long as you have proof you bought it on board (otherwise they charge corkage). However, some ships' MDRs do not keep wine for next night so if you don't drink the whole bottle you will have to carry it away!
No, as Eavesway are not contracted to P&O. Intercruises are so the ship waited for them. Looks like insurance claims will be difficult for the poor souls who lost their holidays.
On Aurora in Andalsnes today. We waited for the last Intercruises coach as they are contracted to P&O. Unfortunately, Eavesway are not, so we left without them. Doubt Eavesway will compensate their passengers so poor people will probably have to claim on insurance.
Remember when you got a quite comprehensive paper questionnaire at the end of your cruise. This was replaced with a reasonably comprehensive one online, after your cruise. Now I just get a FEEFO one regarding the ( rare ) excursions I do. Not bothered as I don't believe they take any notice anyway. Just a PR stunt to keep the masses happy.
