  1. Our date for booking excursions was 8pm on Christmas night, they opened exactly at that time. Fortunately the Christmas ‘spirit’ didn’t stop us from booking the excursions we wanted 😀
  2. It’s provided for you, no need to bring any and I suspect they wouldn’t want people to bring their own
  3. The second leg is a repositioning, so there aren’t any previous roll calls that I can see. FL seems to be a starting/stopping point, so I can’t see any excursions from that location. I will ask when we are on board, but we can always book an excursion on our own or enjoy the ship until the newbies embark when it isn’t as busy
  4. What about a same day turnaround, has anyone experienced Viking putting on an excursion for those remaining onboard?
  5. Clay I’ve just learned online how to play this game, I’m in on our SA crossing next year 👍 p.s. the guy spelt centre as ‘center’, how strange 😀
  6. New York steak in WC, cooked medium rare
  7. I wonder if HK is mentioned only because that’s where you would fly into/out of and are then transported to/from Schenzhen. It isn’t too far between both locations and when I lived there, we used to take a day trip to Schenzhen for shopping
  8. The invoice is normally emailed to you, it is not included in MVJ
  9. Many years ago, whilst on a business trip, we did the Queen Mary tour. We also tried to do the Spruce Goose, but they’d moved it without telling us. They also closed McDonnell Douglas after our trip, but I don’t think it was anything to do with me 😀
  10. Meiji Shrine (Harajuka is close by, said to be the area where the world’s fashions start) there’s a McDonalds there too 😀 Imperial Palace Shibuya crossing Tokyo Tower (have dinner there in McDonalds 😀) and many more, check out the tours offered by v i a t o r
  11. It’s still available on the UK website
  12. Our excursions were planned to open Christmas Day at 8pm. I received an MVJ notification on Christmas Eve, to inform me that they were now open for selection. They weren’t, they opened at 8pm on Christmas Day !!
  13. Our Southern Atlantic crossing last year was quite rough when we entered the Med
  14. We are going in the opposite direction in February, London to LA, and have booked 2K and 3K on a BA flight with their club suite (unless there’s an aircraft swap). You can always get up and chat to your partner and your husband can easily get anything out of the overhead locker. Basically it shouldn’t be a problem
  15. It’s very nice, you won’t be disappointed
  16. The Shang is a very good hotel, especially if you are on a Horizon floor, but if anyone else is arriving early, the Langham is also very good and within walking distance of the cruise terminal (via the shopping mall)
  17. The captain was on Jupiter with us last year
  18. We will be on the Star in March, try and keep it tidy please 😀
  19. Interesting video and explains the planned changes very well
  20. Due to the missed ports on that cruise, we have booked to do it again (hopefully with the publicised ports) in March ‘25
  21. Coincidentally I received a discount code this morning, for an Antarctic expedition cruise. Well I hope it was coincidence
  22. We have had emails with discount codes, but these were for specific cruises and not for every cruise in their catalogue. We always book through Viking and if you ask nicely, you may get an onboard credit (OBC) and if the cruise is ≤ 15 days duration, ask for the Silver Spirits Package (SSP) to be included free of charge
