  1. Not feeling “entitled” here but I purchased this in good faith. If it is an error, so be it but, hey I understand . I do feel that at the very least the internet package I purchased long ago at a decent price and then cancelled for this should be reinstated at the price I purchased it at. I shouldn’t lose money for their mistake
  2. That’s a good point, that is why you need to plan it out. In my case where I dropped the car off had a huge effect on the one way rental cost. MCO was happy to take in the car as they serve a larger market and needed the car I brought them.
  3. Have done the rental car from Ft, Lauderdale to Orlando after a Transatlantic last October. It was an easy thing to do. There is a shuttle service from the pier in Fort Lauderdale for $10 person to the airport, tell the driver you are picking up a rental car and he will drop you off at the right place. Simply drive to MCO and drop of the car and catch a shuttle service to Port Canaveral. With a little planning it should be fairly simple. Good luck
  4. We have several cruises booked with Royal Caribbean now and all have RC insurance coverage. If I purchase an “outside” yearly travel insurance policy can I ask and receive a refund from Royal Caribbean on several upcoming cruise insurance coverages? Thanks
  5. Back on course now, Captain did make an announcement saying there was a passenger on board that required more medical attention then the ship could provide. Prayers to passenger and family
  6. Slowing down again, now turned south, helicopter has made multiple approach’s to ship, helicopter appears more military than medical, maybe all that’s around. Also a small plane passing us as well
  7. Picking up speed and turning towards west again, maybe find out later what happened
  8. It’s almost 6 am here, we left Madiera yesterday afternoon heading home 280 degrees (mostly west) towards Fort Lauderdale. Recently we turned due north 360 degrees and have slowed to 4 knots.
  9. As a central Florida resident I wish to say thank you for your post
  10. You are probably right, the new pricing associated with the “new norm cruising” is vastly different from just after the start up. Some sticker shock to be had
  11. The 9/11/22 (Sunday) recent 6 day cruise on the Allure, I was notified on the Thursday before that my Junior suite bid would be reviewed “on board” just prior to sailing. The next day (Friday) I received notice that I had been upgraded, a full 2 days before sailing. We have been on 8 cruises in the past 12 months and have won a bid 3 out of the 5 times we have placed a bid. Just to note; in all cases our bid was considered “weak” on their little bid meter. There doesn’t seem to be any real rhythm or reason as to the if and when to the process. Good luck and have fun….
  12. On day 3 of the Allure right now. Tonight is formal night and I expect as in past cruises there will be a few tuxedos, some suits and ties, probably more polo shirts and dockers and yes always some t-shirts and shorts. We have been on eight cruises this year and have never seen anyone not admitted to the MDR for dress code violations. The times they are a changing…. I just hope they are wearing their “best” T-shirt for formal night
  13. My wife and I are “fully vaccinated” but it’s been over a year for the second shot and no booster for either one of us. We have an October 31st 2022 TA from Rome to Fort Lauderdale, so the way I read this we both have to get a booster sometime in the next 60 days. Does this sound correct?
  14. docked or moving, prayers to whomever they went there for
  15. Cruisemapper.com shows Harmony currently docked in Nassau
  16. Trying to understand why Royal Caribbean is offering Royalup bidding across virtually all suite classes, when their webpage search shows all suites are completely sold out and unavailable. About a month ago all cabin searches came up unavailable for this cruise. Do I really have a shot at an upgrade or is this just some kind of I.T. practice tool in place. Looking forward to this cruise and would really consider bidding on a suite if this is legitimate. Thanks in advance….
  17. Found a very cheap balcony cabin on an 8 day April 2024 cruise, but got the same “oops” message as everyone else here. Called Royal a few days ago and the rep was able to book it for me. Fingers crossed that it will still be a cruise when the time comes….. still can’t get to this cruise myself on the web page this morning
  18. We have been on several cruises since the re-start and always get our MDR table reassigned on the first day to a 2 seat table as opposed to sitting with 4 strangers. We like meeting other people but just prefer our own company at dinner time. We book all our cruises ourselves online and with an upcoming cruise in September was wondering, Could we request from Royal Caribbean in advance to have a 2 person table? Do we call or email if this is possible? Thanks
  19. Everyone is different, last October I had a total hip replacement and sailed on the Independence 6 weeks later. I feel very lucky my recovery went so well and was happy I had a great time on the cruise.
  20. Thanks for sharing, Allure has become one of our favorite ships. We have done 2 b2b sailings on Allure and look forward to a September cruise this Year.
