  1. I had a PVP originally book these 2 cruises. She’s unresponsive since then. I rebooked the 2 sailings myself with a more favorable cabin that popped up overnight (different cabin category), and paid deposit online. And had the original PVP’s 2 sailings canceled. . Can’t in good conscience ask that PVP to service it. Well, if I ever get to talk to her again. 🤷🏼‍♀️ thanks so much for responding.
  2. I called Princess number from the website, and followed prompts for no travel agent and booked online, and eventually ‘none of these things’ hold on the line for next navigator. Tried this with 2 different agents. Neither one knew anything about going in to a reservation and setting “Do Not Upgrade”. Isn’t that still a possibility? I don’t want to be moved from this MF cabin for a pseudo-upgrade. Also, neither agent knew anything about connecting 2 reservations as a B2B. Apparently I got the wrong department twice. Can anyone kindly advise who can handle these actions for me, please? Thanks!
  3. I had an aft cornier cabin on deck 7 on Liberty. Loved it! Would definitely stay aft again, without hesitation. .
  4. OP, this goes both ways. About 6 months ago I noticed a lower price (before final) on a cruise I had booked when itineraries were first released. I called Royal to re-price.. The agent advised me that I would actually save a little more than the difference in the mock pricing I saw - because my Port Fees and Taxes were LOWER when booked, than the current pricing. Agent said they always go by the initially booked fees - don’t increase them. So I got the benefit of an extra savings, as they kept my lower port fees.
  5. you should have received an email from Royal about the ship swaps, and your options. Did you book direct or use a TA? Look for the thread on Brilliance cruises, talking about swap with Enchantment. Someone posted the letter they’d received. I think you have until August 18 to advise your decision. Enchantment is smaller, so it’s possible not all bookings will have same cabin category to transfer to.
  6. @Patches1966 Since you are all in the same family, You could tell Royal one cabin is positive and the other 2 cabins are family who have been exposed to the positive members You would have to declare that on wellness check in on app (if truly were exposed) anyway.
  7. SDo connecting balconies follow the alternating bed by balcony, bed by bathroom scheme? Or are both in same locations due to the interior door? TIA
  8. I received the email as well. “The International Maritime Organization recently shared new speed regulations we must adhere to and as a result, we’ve repositioned some of our ships …”. Can someone please help me understand how speed regulations apply as a reason, when they are swapping same class of ship? @chengkp75
  9. My mom did that with all 5 of our names and the dog’s too ! I totally understand
  10. Room availability is another component. We were trying to decide for 2023 between 5 June from Barcelona, or 8 June from Rome, and available rooms were different for each departure port. Better selection of suites still available for 3 passengers from Barcelona. Better selection of connecting balconies still available for 2 each room from Rome. edit: we ultimately chose Rome, as we wanted to spend time pre-cruise in Italy.
  11. oh, thanks! I was checking on the - - - scanner site. It showed the availability. I see I should have checked Royal’s site. 🤦🏻‍♀️ thanks for correcting me. Didn’t intend to pass bad info.
  12. @febtober, I just looked on a different site. No staterooms for 3, but there are 4 categories of staterooms if you enter “4” instead of 3 (2 adults, 2 children) there are insides, balconies, jr suites and suites available - if you enter a total of 4 passengers. the 4th could be a no-show (or maybe cancel the 4th prior to sailing ?)
  13. On Grandeur last week at breakfast time, Carving Turkey in WJ day 2, the next day a pork loin.
  14. and Your CC name is awesome as well! Especially since you work at Port Seattle 😀
  15. Not in Galveston on the 18th. The 4 of us had uploaded v.cards in the app. At check-in, they only wanted negative test (they scrutinized it well), passport or birth certificate, and set sail pass. I asked twice if they wanted to see vaccine cards, and told NO each time.
  16. Boarded Grandeur yesterday with 3 teens and 11 AM boarding time. Agent did NOT want to see any vaccine cards. Negative test, Set sail pass, passport (birth certificate for other grandchild). I asked again about vaccine cards - she said she didn’t need to see them. I was surprised, but they had all been uploaded in the App. by the way, fastest embarkation ever. We did not stop moving. Agent said the 10:30 folks walked right on ship, and everyone following did same. Edit: @Jimbo , your reasons are exactly why we chose a 4-day cruise. 4 day cruise is 3 days less exposure, Their school starts in less than a month. Even if they get it, they’ll have time to recover before school.
  17. Around 10 days ago, there was an interesting NCL thread one evening. Poster had received ship data from CDC by ship and day, for number of positive per ship test results - broken down by crew vs passengers. Poster got info through Freedom of Info Act. it was interesting. Other posters would ask about a ship and sail date, and OP would give the data for each day of that sailing. OP welcomed questions on all cruise lines and ships. I remember seeing questions and data on a few RCI and Princess ships. It was so interesting to read. The next morning, “I couldn’t find the thread”.
