  1. I bought it at $18.99 for my Dec 2024 cruise and the ONLY reason why I paid that is because the internet package was $17.99. So for $1pp/day extra….yeah it’s worth it just for the embarkation lunch to avoid the buffet feeding zoo! $50pp/day is absolutely insane!!!
  2. There are negative reviews about every ship. I’m positive some troll out there has already cried about Icon! 😂🤣 Adventure isn’t a Quantum or Oasis class, but it’s perfectly fine for a port intensive or unique port cruise that bigger ships cannot get into. I personally wouldn’t avoid an itinerary just because Adventure is the ship.
  3. I always book specialty dining for sea days. Don’t know why, it’s just what I do and it’s tradition at this point
  4. My very first cruise was a non-Haven aft suite on the Jewel to Alaska. It was a great time!!! Enjoy
  5. Late shows are at 9:30. If you plan on eating no later than 8pm, you will have plenty of time no matter the day. Teppanyaki may require a little extra buffer.
  6. Since that is the middle of summer, there will be a significant number of teenagers on the ship. Winter break, Spring break and summer are peak time for kids and families.
  7. Ditto to above. You simply cannot look at just two itineraries and think you are comparing apples to apples. Doesn’t work like that. Even within the Royal fleet there is an extraordinary difference between Grandeur and many of their other ships.
  8. Maya Chan all day long and twice on Sunday! Today is Sunday, so this counts for 2 votes!! 😂
  9. Second for Intercontinental Miami. Location can’t be beat and it’s a very nice hotel to boot. I always stay there even when I’m flying in and out of Miami without a cruise. Kimpton EPIC is also a very nice place to stay.
  10. Yes, that’s a big perk over some other cruise lines and their private islands that do not honor their drink packages ashore.
  11. Yes you do. UDP applies to speciality restaurants, not the complimentary ones.
  12. Dump the big box TA and get a legit one.
  13. Izumi or bust! Besides buffet sushi…..I’ll pass 🤢
  14. I’ve only been able to use RC gift cards for initial bookings. Maybe that has changed in the last year or two.
  15. That is 100% the case and is even spelled out as such in the T&C. An offer to bid does not equate to availability. They take the bids on the off chance there is a no show at embarkation. All you received was a boiler plate email that went out to everyone in your cabin category. They even have the right to reject all offers even if there is availability.
  16. If you are asking if they can/will switch the locations of the sofa and the bed, if the sofa is next to the balcony, the answer is No.
  17. Under the WJ and under the pool are my #1 and #2 “do not book” locations.
  18. This is a very common and recurring glitch.
  19. We had no problems at all last week getting cans at the Haven Lounge when we would ask. This didn’t matter what time of day or even if we asked for 2 at a time. They were always more than willing to hand them out.
  20. You have to request one and they use pods.
  21. “And” being the key word here!
  22. Winning bids are an anomaly these days with cruises being over 100% capacity. You are normally bidding on cabins that aren’t even available at the time you are making the bid. winning bids only really happen when there is a last second no show. Pre-Covid and during the restart, wins were fairly common. Those days are LONG gone. The best thing about the bids is that YOU determine what cost is worth it to you or not. If you don’t think $500 bid is worth it, bid less. The only thing to be careful about is that once/if your bid is accepted you are locked in. If you dont like the location, there is no going back.
  23. There is absolutely no requirement at all to EVER dress formally at any time for any venue. It’s 1,000% optional.
  24. Not only was there no reservations on my sailing last week, even being in the Haven gave you no benefits related to shows in the smaller venues.
