  1. You would need to arrange this with both RC and the Mexican government. The government usually doesn’t have immigration officials on standby at cruise ports to process your intake into the country.
  2. I’m in the Haven RIGHT NOW and my son’s friend was denied dining with us. So correct info based on my current sailing. Sorry you don’t know everything.
  3. Only Haven passengers can eat at the Haven restaurant….period, end of story. There is not a way for non-Haven folks to eat there.
  4. That’s not what a stock option is. Not even close
  5. 4 days is waaaaaaaaay too short for a first timer on a ship like Utopia. That’s my 2 cents.
  6. Jewel is smaller than both Dream and Glory. It’s a fairly older ship in the Royal fleet being 20 years old so it’s going to not be a great representation of what sailing on Royal is all about. For me, I’m not a fan of anything below Freedom Class for Royal. For the smaller/older class ships, I actually prefer NCL Jewel class. Also the vibe on smaller RC ships might be vastly different than what you may be used to on Carnival.
  7. We had a white night on day 4 and a 90’s party tonight (Night 6). Other than that I cannot tell you what else they had as that’s not my thing. Sorry. The ship has absolutely been rocking pretty good since leaving Mazatlan. Seems to be more wind related than swells. I’m on Deck 18 right now and it’s pitching up and down pretty good. Nothing bad, but you certainly feel it. The wife is still in bed being a little sea sick and our cabin is on deck 10 and there is a big difference in what you feel between deck 10 and where I’m at on 18 for sure
  8. I’m on the Bliss right now doing this very same itinerary. You will have a great time, I promise. Make sure to catch Jersey Boys. Saw it last night and it was excellent. Probably the best show I’ve ever seen at sea.
  9. I have also heard that if you are able to board super early and practically run, you can get one of the very few passes being held back.
  10. I walked past a cabin this morning with them on the walls. However I have no idea if that is the case with every single inside cabin or not.
  11. The “extra people” will need to have paid admission to the water park at a minimum. They aren’t going to allow extra unpaid people in the waterpark above the cabana limit. Those extra people may then be allowed in the cabana, but not before they have paid. Make sure to book those early because the waterpark does sell out.
  12. Items will be added from now up until you sail. I’ve seen excursions added 3 days prior to sailing. There is no magic date by which all or even most things are released. They just trickle in over time. I have a Dec 2024 sailing with about 60 total excursions available and dining packages, but an Aug 2024 sailing with no dining yet open for booking and only one port with excursions open.
  13. The 6 month requirement is set by certain foreign countries you may visit, not the cruise company. As long as none of the countries on your itinerary have that requirement, you are good. Bahamas is not one of them
  14. Successful bids these days are a rarity. Sailings are over 100%. You are banking on not only being the highest bidder, but that there will also be any cabins available that you are bidding on. Being the highest bidder alone means nothing. With that said, there is no bid amount that is meaningful other than what YOU are comfortable paying for. What may win on one itinerary is 100% irrelevant to your itinerary
  15. That event in that article is an anomaly. Does your fear of getting into a car wreck prevent you from diving? Your odds are better to be killed on the way to the port in an accident, then to be left stranded at the port. As was said above, when these things happen those who were left behind were notified of the oversold cruise and given an option to book another cruise. everyone who was left behind on that ship was a “local”…meaning they did not spend thousands of dollars on pre and post cruise travel.
  16. This is yet another example of just how painless and easy a good TA can make any kind of booking hiccup! I used to be a control freak and try to do everything myself, but all the COVID madness put an end to that.
  17. My experience with their gift cards is that they can only be used for initial bookings. However I’ve never used an electronic one.
  18. @ChiefMateJRK I was going to comment the same thing. We aren’t talking loads of money or a significant length of time for time value of money to be anything more than trivial. And final payment dates don’t change based on when you book. So paying the balance of your cruise at final payment date versus waiting a month for a hypothetical price drop saves what….$3 in time value of money? Not booking in advance on the hope of a price drop (let alone “multiple times”) after final payment date isn’t exactly reality these days.
  19. When this new app is released, managing linked bookings is something I am hoping gets a major improvement. While Royal Caribbean has their issues too, managing linked reservations on the app is NOT one of them.
  20. Yup. The Owners Suites were going for $30k. Paying $5k extra still would have been well below the booking cost by about $15k
