  1. Good morning friends! It's already hot this morning in Cozumel. Next to us at the dock is Carnival Valor, a 2004 built ship with 3581 passengers according to Cruisemapper. Down the coast a ways is Disney Fantasy with another 3500 passengers. I looked up Sky Princess and it says 4610 passengers! I believe it! People are everywhere! There are many public spaces but just walking from place to place you find people all around you. DH says we won't be going on a ship this size again. After we went to bed last night I'm guessing there were lots of people still out drinking because DH overheard a conversation between a group of young women discussing that very topic. One said they hit their 15 drink limit yesterday!😲 At 4 am I was awake, as usual, and I heard a gong like sound in the hall so went to the door and heard an announcement for medical personnel to Aloha deck and gave a cabin number. That's two decks above us. Around 7:30 am we saw an ambulance arrive to pick up a patient. Hope they have insurance and that they will okay. Bruce @aliaschiefthank you for the early morning wave. I'll wave back in your general vicinity, north of us. Do you head home tomorrow? Thanks to Rich @richwmnfor your Daily info and to Ann @cat shepardfor posting this week. Thanks also to our F&B department and all the memes everyone posts. Love them! To Roy @rafinmdand Tana, good luck at your pulmonologist appointments. Good luck tomorrow to Jacqui at her physio tomorrow and hope the bad weather misses you. Good thoughts to Annie's DH at his doctor visit, too. MY DB had a scan and he informed us last week his pulmonary fibrosis is worse since he was last checked in 2021 and after having Covid last year. He worked with chemicals as a printer at a can factory for 25 years. Hope he can keep that under control. Lots of funny names today. We had a coach at high school, a young good looking man named Harry Gurley. He eventually married one of our school mates, which was a shocking event in those days with everyone wondering when they had started dating. Lenda @Quartzsite Cruiserthanks for posting my photos today. We have only had Le Havre once before as you said, May 19, 2022 but someone may have posted Paris photos from a different port like Rouen. Nancy @ottahand7sorry about the extreme heat on your excursion yesterday and am glad you didn't have heat stroke. It will be very hot and sticky in the Amazon too so get ready for that! We haven't been off the ship yet this morning but may walk around out there a bit later. When here before we've taken tours. We hope to be able to get into the Pizza restaurant, Alfredo's today for lunch with some of the passengers off the ship. There's usually a long line there. Tonight is formal night so will go to the MDR (Soleil) where they have Duck a l'orange, beef tenderloins, salmon with shrimp, and red snapper. Always available Mama's Lasagna. Close enough to classic for me. LOL! I think shrimp cocktail is available everyday free. Prayers for everyone and especially those hurting in Ukraine, Turkey and Sicily. Cheers for all the happy celebrants! Talk to you all later!
  2. We walked into our room when there was less than 2 minutes left in the game and tied up. Congrats to a Missouri team, the KC Chiefs on an exciting finish!! Dinner in the Crown Grill tonight was excellent and we made sure to thank them for squeezing us in at 8:30. Now I have to sit up and read awhile to digest before bedtime. Hope everyone has had a “super” weekend!!😉
  3. Thanks Lenda@Quartzsite Cruiser for posting my photos today and it was quite alright you didn’t have time for them yesterday. I didn’t have any close shots from 2012 and others had probably posted their better photos already. I notice an error in my text though. We met our Myrtle Beach friends in 2008 not 2018. After the balloon shoot down weekend before last she sent me video taken from their neighborhood. Exciting happenings right in front of their eyes! We made reservations for a late dinner at the Crown Grill tonight. Most of the specialty dining reservations are gone already but they will fit us in. We have OBC to use up and only one week to spend it! Thanks everyone for always being there. And enjoy awesome Hobart Rich @richwmn.
  4. Well, I found one crocheter Sandy and her husband Don at the gathering of knitters and knatters so sat down to chat. Eventually a woman named Emily joined us. Sandy said last week there were 6 people at the get together. I noticed Bible study had more participants than we did which is nice. Today’s port Cobh is a good one. I’ve been there and enjoyed it. I know yesterday we’d been to Cape Horn several times. First time in 2012 we were able to go all the way around, unlike the 2015 trip Lenda mentioned. Seas today are rocky. We are heading west around Cuba now. Everybody have a great day.
  5. Good morning friends! We just had breakfast and decided to head to Crown Grill lounge to see if any “knitters and knatters” people show up. I didn’t bring any cross stitching for such a short cruise but want to say hello and see what they are working on. Just my luck and no one will show up! Thanks to all who make the Daily work each day! Excellent lists! I have a photo for Graham of his section of the Fresh Marketplace or in other words Lido. He would be right at home gathering his English breakfast.
  6. Everyone in the small boats keep getting in the way. Police boat keeping busy!
  7. I can’t tell if I’m 2 or 3 decks above the tenders. They jut out. Anyway wearing dark pink t shirt and waving my blue bandana when we pass by. Bye all
  8. Getting ready to leave FLL around 3:30 if we are on time. Will have to see who gets out first of the three ships scheduled then. I’ll miss everyone! Nieuw Statendam hiding out over by the Celebrity ship. Pretty day so far and no rain like they predicted last week.
  9. Great start to the day with Ann @cat shepardand Vanessa @JazzyVposting. It’s not easy keeping up with the lists and you did an excellent job Vanessa! Also @puppycanducruisegood catch on the quote. Very interesting. Just sitting here waiting to head over to terminal 2. Prayers for the many in need and those suffering around the world. Happy cruising everyone!
  10. I’ll be on Princess waving for the cameras and everyone on here. Listen for the Love Boat toots!🥰
  11. Thanks Vanessa and everyone who posted. We are turning in early tonight since we’ve been up since 2 a.m. But I wanted to mention the camera operators ask if you have a banner to wave and I said No, just my dark blue bandana. So expect that. Will wave at everyone!🙋‍♀️
  12. Good evening friends! Just a short post to say we had an uneventful drive down and it took less time today - 11 hours. Light rain every once in a while up north but abundant sunshine down here. I’ve tried to catch up on the Daily but wow lots going on today. Thanks to all for helping post today so the Daily can continue. Prayers for all in need of them, a toast to those celebrating and welcome home to a few of you. Thanks for posting my photos today Lenda@Quartzsite Cruiser and thanks to Graham@grapau27for your vacation photos too. Sky Princess is supposedly leaving tomorrow at 3:30 ish and I plan on waving my arm off at the PTZ camera from my port side balcony. 3 decks above the tenders (Caribe deck) and about 4 balconies forward of the first tender. My twin and cruising buddy Susan will probably be watching. Join me! PS I waved at Ann and Charlene on 95 today too!👋
  13. Kathi, you don't know me either but we have been praying for you each day on the Daily thread - new each day. You can do this! We will see you back on the World Cruise next year, I know it!
  14. Thank you SO much for the photos of Meteora! We went there once on a tour from Volos, Greece on Prinsendam and it was so densely fogged in we couldn't see a thing in front of us. I would love to go back on a beautiful day like you had.
  15. Ann, I did that both ways last trip so will be happy to wave again. So exit 75 and 278 so far. More exercise. Also, I'll be wearing my compression stockings too because that's a long drive.👋👋
  16. I think so, too. Could be my Mom or Sister. Except my Dad loved bluebirds so when the many bluebirds around me perch on my deck railing I say Hi Dad because that's the type of bird he would come back as. Thanks back at you! It's going to take you a while to get through them all. We talk a lot!
  17. Many thanks for your kind wishes. Hope when you talk to the doctor she has a plan to get your numbers straightened out. Take care! Thank you Debbie! Looking for new light fixtures sounds exciting. I like looking for new lights for the house. I can just picture your current DR fixture! Lorraine, glad you are back home now. I know you'll follow those instructions perfectly. I hope you heal quickly. 🤕
  18. Thank you Vanessa. As usual you have a concise response to each poster you quote and it helps the rest of us keep track of what's going on in case we missed a post or three.😋 Thank you Charlene. I sure will wave at you. Anyone else here along 95? I need the exercise while sitting all day.👋 I think you've got it all covered Joy! Sometimes those smaller sightseeing and whale watching boats can get pretty rocky. Let me wish you a Bon Voyage too because you leave before I get back. Enjoy your wonderful cruise with your sweet husband! Thanks to you too Terry! So sweet to miss me. If internet is good on the ship you might see me here every day! Thank you Jack! We intend to have a nice relaxing warm cruise and be waited on hand and foot. Get well soon Paul! I hope the symptoms are so minor you don't even feel them. So sorry to hear you're missing your stop in Puerto Plata but great to hear you have a long day in San Juan. Enjoy it! Thanks for the good wishes for me, too Your mother was amazing to hike up there at age 86! I want to be like her! Thank you Nancy for your Bon Voyage! I remember sleeping one night in our damp cabin with one of those giant fans running. It was loud but we didn't need our white noise machine that night. So sorry to hear about Burt passing. He was a wonderful composer and a legend in his field. Thanks for your good wishes for our trip. I appreciate your help here while I'm gone. Roy @rafinmdis right. This Daily is busy and moving along so fast it's hard to catch up. I've been doing packing chores and reading here a bit at a time.
  19. Thanks for your well wishes, Eva! It's been my pleasure helping Roy @rafinmd. Thanks Annie for your bon voyage! Also thanks for our pep talk on getting help immediately after falling. Seems like we'd better start remembering that. How is your DH Chuck doing? Is he leaving his eye alone? Seems like my multi-quoting is presenting things out of order today. Hope it didn't drop any. Thank you Joy. I enjoy you, too!!❤️ I hope you got the doctor on the line this morning and gave him a piece of my/our mind(s). We want action. Love the memes! As for the rough ride to Hawaii, we've only noticed it the day or two after leaving Los Angeles. Someone once said there is a shelf in the ocean off the coast and that causes bigger than usual waves. I really don't know if that's true but I did notice the rough water. I use meclizine if I feel I might feel nauseous. Others have said the wrist bands work well, too. Thanks for the recipes today Debbie. A rainy day is the perfect time to paint the trim, unless it's too humid to dry. But there's no hurry - you're retired! Thanks for your bon voyage Jacqui. What great news the splint is off and no cast either. Take care doing your physio exercise! This morning we kept hearing a noise banging on the window in the living room. When we open up the plantation shutters a female Cardinal keeps flying off. I wonder why she's messing around with our window today? Could it be one of our loved ones visiting from heaven? 🐦😇
  20. Darn, a positive Covid test! Something we all hate to see. Must have caught it on your 5 day NCL cruise since you just returned 3 days ago. Props to your doctor for getting back to you right away and I hope the Paxlovid helps.
  21. Hilarious Bruce! LMAO! Thanks Graham! Hope you, Pauline and Sarah are all feeling well and enjoying life. It's good news you are getting up and out of the house, even if in slow motion. Getting enough sleep is so important to your recovery. We will manage somehow without your input to the Daily while you are on "sick leave". Thank you for your bon voyage wish. Nice to hear the dermatologist visit went so well. Enjoy all that extra time. 🤔 Nancy, good photos of the animals, countryside and food. Hopefully the room is still improving on dryness and smell. Do they have an air purifier to put in there?
