  1. Ship Caribbean Princess (sailed 7/1/2023-7/8/2023) Class Grand Deck 6 (Fiesta) Cabin # F301 Category Window Suite (S7) Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern Starboard - mid bow Connects With Cabin # N/A Accessible No Quiet Yes Balcony Size N/A View Spectacular through 2 extra large windows Privacy Issues None Wind No Soot No Problems None Comments This cabin has full suite perks at a little more than a mini-suite price! The location is ideal with restaurants, bars, piazza, casino and more on the same deck or just 1 deck up or down making is easily walkable. Nestled in a private hallway just outside the theater, you can use your own restroom between venues. It was extremely quiet even though the elevators are nearby. A quick elevator ride up to deck 16 and you're at the Lotus Spa and close to the main pool area. This particular room is the smallest of the window suites but that just means your bed is closer to the window for moon gazing from bed! There are 3 full size closets in addition to several drawers and the vanity desk. We didn't even come close to using all the storage. The bathroom is roomy and has 2 sinks, a shower with glass enclosure, and jetted tub. Although there are no outlets by the bed, there are 2 US and 2 UK outlets by the vanity desk as well as additional outlets by the bar and in the cabinet above the bar. We would not hesitate to book this room again and again!
  2. We did! We were in F301 and it was simply amazing!!
  3. We were on the Caribbean July 1-8. It was our 1st cruise and we loved it!! We knew going in that she was an older ship and that there may be some staffing issues, but we're also used to that pretty much anywhere you go these days. We did not experience any AC or plumbing issues in our cabin. There were a few warmer spots on the ship, mostly close to doors to the deck. I didn't find it unbearable and given the extreme heat and humidity I would almost expect it. We spent all our free time in the Sanctuary or at the Lotus Spa Pool which did get crowded at times. We would go early (6-7 am) and were able to get loungers every time (we're not chair hogs - we actually stay and enjoy them). We ordered breakfast to the pool one morning and it came fairly quickly. It did take my coffee a bit longer to get there, but again given the time of day it was expected. Service in the MDR was spectacular (we were in Reserve Collection dining), and also enjoyed Crown Grill and Sabatini's - both well worth the upcharge. In our Facebook cruise group there were some complainers, mostly about room service times. Interestingly one lady complained about service at the Lotus Spa Pool at the same time we were there. We did not have the same experience. Our only issue was that same person hogging all the towels for her and her imaginary friend in the lounger next to her that sat empty for hours. Keep in mind that some people will complain no matter what. Set your expectations appropriately and you won't be disappointed.
  4. We noted our anniversary on our cruise last week and sadly there was no recognition. Another passenger was also celebrating their anniversary and had towel animals, rose petals, and banners in their room. Seems to be hit or miss. Go ahead an notate the birthday and hope for the best!
  5. Too bad, we love a good food truck!
  6. We didn’t see any food trucks, just the buffet.
  7. We’re on the Caribbean now and had an excellent couples massage on embarkation day at 5:30 pm in a cabana overlooking the front of the ship in The Sanctuary. The Sanctuary was closed at that time so it was nice and private. The cost ($209) was less than we pay on land by us. They did try to sell a couple products afterwards but we politely declined and didn’t feel pressed at all. Would highly recommend!
  8. We were just there yesterday and found plenty of shade under trees. We went to the right after getting off the tender and found a spot right in front of the showers by the bathrooms. Was close to the bar and not far from the buffet. Much less crowded than the left side of the beach. We went over on the 1st tender around 9:15 am and returned to the ship around 12:30 pm.
  9. We will be there on Wednesday and plan to taxi to Maho beach to watch the planes land and then to the boardwalk for bars, food, and shopping.
  10. Same here, sailing on the 1st and will be in a suite. Hoping to receive an invitation to this lounge. Fingers crossed for both of us!
  11. Thank you Jan! How cool that your 1st was your 30th as well 😄 Congrats in advance on your 50th, that is truly amazing!!
  12. I've been waiting for the thread to show up so I can share that I HIT MY CRUISE WEIGHT GOAL!! I'm down 26 lbs since mid Feb and ready for our 1st cruise on July 1st. We are celebrating our 30th anniversary onboard July 3rd and I'll be able to re-wear my formal mother of the bride dresses for formal nights! I do believe this will be the 1st of hopefully many cruises to come! Belle - we wanted to do a Med cruise but the time off work for travel to/from Europe was too much. I think we'll put that on the retirement bucket list. Have a relaxing week 😄
  13. We booked our 1st night dinner in the app for our upcoming cruise. The credit for being in a suite showed and we paid -0-. Congrats on winning your bid!
  14. Good to hear from you Belle! Sounds like you're having a great time with your daughter. I envy your "most traveled" status. I'm a 1st timer myself. Happy sailing - enjoy those last 9 days!!
  15. The white/gold night has been on the website for months. Fortunately for me, one of my formal dresses is white and champagne which is close enough to gold for me! Looking forward to it!!
  16. That's awesome progress Izena! Old photos definitely help to motivate!! I stayed the same this week. I've been good so I'm not worried. Hoping for a woosh soon......2.2 lbs to my goal weight for the cruise and a couple more weeks to get there. Wishing everyone a productive week!
  17. If the small shower is that big of a concern, you could book a Reserve Class mini-suite to get a shower/tub combo. Just a thought.
  18. There will be one on our 7 day cruise next month. It shows on our Journey View in the app on the 2nd formal night. I'm looking forward to it!
  19. Hi everyone! Sorry you're not feeling good Belle - hope you get everything done in time to enjoy your trip with your daughter. Alabaster and Jan - great losses!! 🙂 I'm down 1.6 this week and have 3 lbs to go to my cruise goal weight. We leave for the port on 6/30 and embark on 7/1. My weight tracker app says I should hit my goal by 7/23 - let's hope as I wouldn't mind giving myself a bit of wiggle room for all the goodies onboard! Have a great week everyone 😄
  20. Shows on the app for my Caribbean Princess cruise July 1
  21. Why do so many book a cruise with formal nights and then throw shade at those who want to dress up on formal nights?
  22. We have a couples massage booked for embarkation day. The price ($209) is actually less than what we pay on land by us (we live in a touristy area). We plan to tip $5-10 cash to each therapist depending on the quality of the service.
  23. Welcome back Belle! Sorry you're under the weather and hope you feel better soon! I did just as you said, up - bathroom - scale, and I'm happy to report that I'm down 1.8 lbs from my pervious low and .4 from entering the next decade! I'm just over 20 lbs down since mid Feb. 5.4 lbs more needed to reach my cruise weight goal. We're 37 days out and couldn't be more excited 😄 !! Wishing everyone a happy weigh-in!
  24. We upgraded from a CC/RC mini-suite to a full suite for our 1st cruise in July and were able to book our included 1st night specialty dining on the app without having to pay upfront. It showed a credit and zero due. I've read that some people have had trouble booking it in advance, but it's worth a shot!
  25. I did the email method using the following as my letter and attached my current broker statement. It only took a couple days to show up in our account. Dear Princess Cruises, Please find attached our proof of stock ownership for the purpose of OBC. Our cruise confirmation number is: XXXXXXX. My member number is: XXXXXXXXX. Thank you kindly,
