  1. The Sanctuary can only be booked once onboard. You should be able to book dining in advance on the app. We made our dining reservations nearly a year ahead of time.
  2. I booked our 1st night specialty dining through the app yesterday, one day after we upgraded our cabin to a suite. The cost was immediately credited and we weren’t not charged anything. I think the instant credit is a recent change in the app.
  3. I was able to easily book our specialty dining nearly a year in advance on the app.
  4. I did a reverse photo search on Google and found this: https://oceanfdn.org/the-arctic-a-region-of-future-conflict-or-cooperation/
  5. As a 1st time cruiser (July 2023) I truly appreciate seeing this thread!
  6. You can't rehab a hip that is bone on bone. I've tried. I did the couch to 5K, PT, hired a trainer, went to a chiropractor, got cortisone shots, you name it. After I finally accepting my hip replacement fate, I went all in and had both done at the same time. Was back to work in 3 weeks (desk job) and only regret was not doing it sooner.
  7. The airport name is Princess Juliana International Airport. Here is a link to their website: https://www.sxmairport.com/flights-info.php
  8. I don't know if it's worth it yet, but we booked the thermal suite on Caribbean Princess for our 30th anniversary cruise. This will be our relaxation spa-cation so we figured we might as well give it a try!
  9. We'll definitely be cruising like 1st timers, because we are!
  10. Currently 57, 5'5" and 210. My goal is 185 for our 7/1 30th anniversary cruise. Good luck to you!
  11. I plan to bring detergent sheets (not pods) and dryer sheets. They're flat and easy to pack!
  12. Hi all. I weighed in .6 higher this morning, but to be expected since I lost a couple pounds while being sick with the flu. I’m down 6.6 lbs since we booked our July 2023 cruise and I hope to lose another 25 or so by then. The main goal is to fit into my mother of the bride dresses that I plan to wear for formal nights. I’ve started listening to “I Am Affirmations For Weight Loss” on YouTube and as dorky as it sounds, it does help me be mindful during the day. Good luck to all as we head into the holidays!
  13. I have read that there are European outlets underneath the headboard. I’m not sure though since I haven’t cruised yet, but I did buy an adapter in hopes it is true.
  14. Same with my hubby. Don't care what the "new" studies show, we know he flares up when he eats nuts or seeds and especially popcorn. I actually hadn't thought about listing this as an allergy and will be sure to do so. Thank you for bringing this up!
  15. Ahhh.......makes sense. Excuse me while I go change our 2 specialty dining reservations, lol
  16. Curious why you say to avoid specialty dining on formal nights. We've never cruised before so we have no experience.
  17. I'm truly sorry for your loss. Happy to know he was well cared for and you were able to stay with him. Sounds like you had a wonderful marriage. I pray your memories bring you comfort.
  18. I'm not into reality shows, but I would dress up and enjoy the party!!
  19. I booked both Crown Grill and Sabatini's then cancelled Sabatini's and booked a 2nd night at Crown Grill. The refund for Sabatini's only took a couple days to refund to my CC.
  20. Glad to hear you're safe and hoping the power is restored soon!
  21. Good question! We booked our 1st cruise for next year and since we picked a club class mini-suite, our only option was on Dolphin deck mid ship (deck 9 on Caribbean Princess). I'm good with that since I've never cruised before and while I don't think I'll have seasick issues, you just never know. It will also be nice to be centrally located to all the venues.
  22. We are doing our 1st cruise next summer and want to book in The Sanctuary for all the same reasons as you. We will have early embarkation with our club class mini-suite and plan to do the sprint to sign up once onboard. Our plan is to skip a port day if necessary to experience The Sanctuary. Best of luck to you!
  23. I don't think you'll have an issue with kids at that time. Kids are in school and it's before spring break. Happy cruising!

    Welcome!

Thank you! I saw a YouTube video today that said Princess is going for a younger family oriented demographic. That saddens me since I thought we found our line. I'll definitely be sure to check out RC and Celebrity and appreciate the suggestion. We haven't set sail yet but I'm already hooked, lol!!
