  1. Yes that's how it works. There will be a Walk on each cruise. It's usually Breast Cancer, but last year they started doing it for Ukraine. You can choose to actually walk or just take the t-shirt.
  2. I would LOVE a new PCC; didn't ask for this one and she has been impossible to deal with. How do I get a new one- just request? Is there a supervisor I can ask for to make a change?
  3. Correct - you can use them on any ship and it can be a different drink. Enjoy!
  4. I actually heard from my PCC today, after 4 emails & 3 calls. She said her department is closed weekends (?) Well alrighty, but what about the messages I sent/left during the week? Anyway, she did have an OOO but still said that department doesn't work weekends. I never heard that before - does anyone know if that's correct, that PCCs are Mon-Fri?
  5. Oh goodness - I thought we'd gotten past this, or at least beat it beyond dead, but looks like VeriFLY has more lives than the neighborhood feral cats!! Just logged in to HALs website to search excursions and look what greated me!! Really? This was just now. Has anyone else seen this lately? And, yes, I know I can ignore it, but why do they continue to push it instead of just removing it?
  6. And why would you pass when net after OBC is $370?!?! You can't get a hotel for that - much less hotel for the other nights and the food. Congrats - enjoy your cruise! Not being snarky, sincere congrats.
  7. We have aft wrap 7 booked on Genesis so wonder same thing. As the maiden voyage is just getting to NY, I think we're just now able to learn the answer.
  8. Very similar situation. I don't begrudge the people here who are able to benefit from those offers, but when I paid well over $5000 for an AK land cruise (that was an absolute disaster, btw) that someone else gets for airfare, if makes me a bit bitter toward HAL. 4* who really wants to stay and has current bookings but it hurts.
  9. Well that explains it - I missed all of those, lol!!
  10. Hey @MeganGC1983 hope you had a safe flight; appreciate you taking us along on your adventure. Did you have any of this? It's what I brought home from my Med cruise - DH says it warmed all the way down. You can probably tell by the amount of dust, we've had it a while, lol!!
  11. @Florida_gal_50 I didn't mean to infer any destinations had to have them. I was saying, if they are on your booking, fill them out. If they aren't on your booking, don't worry about them. There are so many inconsistencies lately, that I tend to take the path of least resistance. I don't have the patience for investigating the differences (frustrated we see them cuz it shouldn't happen) so when it comes to most things cruise booking related, I just do what's in front of me. But I won't drink the kool-aid, so please nobody give me a glass, lol.
  12. Sorry for the weird typos - this was supposed to read "it's about the wake view beyond the crew deck."
  13. Our pictures have not been taken recently - the ones we uploaded have been used. If they weren't available (ie we were not able to load them) then they took one. This is our experience in San Diego, FLL and Seattle.
  14. We take empty plastic bottles with us to use and have never had an issue. Sometimes, the metal bottles are just too heavy for port days.
  15. PCC told me she is not able to add Club Orange to a recent booking she did since it's not "her" booking. When we did it (it's a "free" inside state room casino offer) we couldn't book ourselves, had to speak to a person to book, which was understandable since that was the direction in the flyer and email. We asked about adding CO and was told we'd have to book first then call back to add CO that they only handled the bookings. Ok, no problem. But when we called back to add it, were told since we have a PCC we had to call her. What - she didn't do the booking so why is she on the booking? Has anyone had this happen? If so, how did you resolve it? We are too late to cancel and do another booking as today is the last day for that promo. Plus we don't want to lose the $$ we paid for it.
  16. I did not have an issue uploading photos for 3 passengers on same booking Koningsdam Nov '22 or Nieuw Statendam Feb '23.
  17. I used the thermal pass this year on Eurodam April 29 - May 6 and really enjoyed it. There were a few times the heated ceramic loungers were full, but I was able to get one by going to the Hydro pool then back to the loungers; there was only 1 time all week when that wasn't the case. The temperature is controlled by a pad at the back of it - staff can help adjust it. I like it hot hot hot and use a towel just because I can't imagine my skin touching the tiles, but it can be used w/or w/o towel which impacts the heat. Loungers are not on timers and are on the honor system; there's a sign posted to limit usage to (I think) 20 min. I think most people watch their time, but I did see people napping in them. The Hydro pool isn't what I expected the first time I used it (was expecting a full-on bubbling jetted HOT tub, which it is not), but I did enjoy it. It is marm water (not hot). There is a sprayer to target neck and back which is great for the places the pool jets don't hit. One note on Eurodam which I didn't encounter on Koningsdam or Nieuw Statendam is the lift/swing for mobility guests - it is positioned where it eliminates one of the sprayers, leaving the only sprayer positioned right at the bottom of the stairs for guests going into/out of the hydropool. Other ships have 2 sprayers so access is not an issue. I keep telling myself to take an inflatable pillow so my head doesn't bounce off the metal rods, but somehow manage to board the ship w/o one; highly recommend a pillow. There was never a time the Hydro pool was at capacity. Occasionally any of the 3 saunas was full, but not for long and didn't keep me from using them. There are showers in the same room as the ceramic loungers; they can be loud when water is turned up. One time one of them ran so long I thought someone had left it on and went to turn it off. Nope, there was a person in it - sitting on the floor w/water beating on their head. I really think they were asleep. That shower was running when I walked in the room and was still running when I walked out 25 min later. It was not soothing to me. I went a couple times every day at different times, based on port times. Obviously, her experience will vary depending on number of passes sold, how full the ship is, etc. Enjoy your cruise!
  18. Most recent Seattle embark action for us was April 29 this year. Very smooth process. Without looking up my post about it, I'll recap: Check-in assigned: Group B, 1:20pm (on my boarding pass, DH had nothing on his) Transfer details: 8:45am waiting in airport for shuttle, 10:15ish off loaded at pier from first shuttle Terminal: arrived from shuttle 10:15ish am, waited outside terminal while previous cruise was cleared, 11:00 ish called to begin boarding Check-in: showed boarding pass and passport twice, scanned through security very quickly (no standing - line continuously moved), sent to wait in unmarked rows (ie you can sit anywhere you want) Boarding: wait time sitting in chairs to be called less than 30 min, slight delay from being called to actually getting on the ship due to a ceremony to recognize HAL anniversary and opening day of the AK season. Stepped on ship at 11:26am, dropped bags in cabin (which was not ready) at 11:33am, ate lunch in MDR and enjoyed a glass of vino on our deck at 1:05pm!! So, from arriving at the terminal to stepping on the ship was approximately 75 minutes. Process was probably the smoothest I've had in recent memory. The times above are from the timestamps on the pictures I took during the process. Hope this helps and that you enjoy your cruise! Happy to answer any specific questions if I can.
  19. Laundry by HAL - service is so good, I'd go there on land if available where I live, lol! Best service offered, whether paying for it or receiving as a perk.
  20. The website has definitely been updated - many things look differently than just a few days ago. Interestingly, I only see the changes using the full site on computer; mobile version on phone looks the same.
  21. I would say, if they're loaded in your booking and show as not completed, do them. And if not there, no need to go asking for them. Seems as with many things lately, experiences differ ,- some people still have them, some don't.
  22. Thank you @cbr663 for providing the good, the bad, and everything else. I trust you provided this insight both while onboard and in the survey. I also hope HAL "listeners" are listening.
  23. can you explain what is meant by "not being able to book through Flightease" - are you locked out to nonpayment or a change or...? That's a scary thought.
  24. Wait, what - cruising and horse betting aren't basic needs? I did take Psych 101, but must have missed that class.. Maybe they are covered under "critical themes - flourishing"?
  25. It's steal my about the wake view beyond the crew deck.
