  1. I called Carnival today specifically asking about FTTF for Venezia Sept 16 from NYC. Was told "it's not available." Asked "is it not available because it's sold out so no more room or not available because it's not being offered?" Was told "it's not being offered" Asked "why does it show offered but sold out the following week Sept 23 from NYC?" Was told "that's a mistake - it's not offered" So, can anyone on the Sept 16 sailing confirm they were able to book FTTF? Even though I was told it's not offered, I'm trying to cover my bases. Being B2B, I don't really have a need for the 2nd week (Sept 23) but do want it the 1st week (Sept 16). Yes I realize this is for Aug and better get a response on that thread, but since I'm researching, I thought I'd ask. Thank you 🙃
  2. Heck a month from a 15 month window won't be felt, so I vote to give yourself a longer reprieve, cuz my vote is so important in your process, lol. As for the use of the title, I'm all about sharing the good stuff 🤭 Hope your next Live is considerably less eventful (for your sanity) and anxiously await the next chapter. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
  3. I chose to cease participating in algebra-esque conversations and mathematical computations once all degree-required courses were completed and the modern day calculator did the work for me. I feel the need to curl up in a corner...
  4. I have not had an issue w/the 2nd person being a no show. And have only been charged with dailies for self. No insight on not adding a second name as I've always had a 2nd name, but assume you need one or they'll know you really intended it to be solo and may get dinged a surcharge
  5. Can anyone comment on the quality of the wet/dry clean vs laundry? We're on Venezia B2B in Sept so no option to do it ourselves
  6. I do too. Generally prefer pants, but they do wrinkle during travel, do I've started packing a black stretchy dress that I throw a light jacket or scarf over and slip on black shoes and I'm good to go. The dress doesn't wrinkle and I only need to pack 1 no matter how long the cruise - it washes well & I use laundry service. I take 2 "covers" for it - 1 jacket & 1 scarf plus just 1 pair of black shoes, so packing is much easier than when we were "formal." Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
  7. I know it's been covered ad nauseum, but a quick search didn't land me on the answer, so here we go. Non-HIA: If I book specialty dining now in advance (thus pre pay) and am eligible for 50% discount based on Mariner status, will it automatically be adjusted on board after we dine, or will I have to take it up w/GS? BTW - Price showing today to book includes the 18%.
  8. Yes, I called the regular guest service line to ask questions about a couple bookings. So, while I had them on the phone, I asked about the status of the AARP OBC since I had an email saying membership was confirmed. They told me it had been applied and sent me an updated invoice reflecting none additional OBC.
  9. I tried Firefox today from both phone and pc, neither worked. So frustrating. My bank said it's definitely on AARPs side as they don't even see any attempts come through. I'll keep trying.
  10. My experience has been the spa VQ cabins are still Verandah so if there was one open you would asking to receive OBC even though a cabin was available. You can ask before committing and before paying.
  11. Same for us April/May 2023 Eurodam - booked Verandah, upsell to Signature Suite, no double Mariner points. Didn't expect them due to the policy & previous experience, so not disappointed. I would have considered blessed to be gifted with bonus days points like @Djptcpreceived. Did you play the lottery to take advantage of the lucky gift? 🤭
  12. So the $7 charge is gone for the extra appetizer - YAY - Clothesline Candied Bacon 🥓 all around!! But since the base dinner price has increased by $7, we will both now have to order bacon to break even. Previously, we ordered 1 and shared it. Excuse me while I go tell DH to begin power eating training so as to be able to easily consume the extra serving of bacon 🥓 in time for our Oct cruise.
  13. Straight from the terms @boze9999 posted: Per Stateroom (not per person), must resubmit for verification each year, and new bookings only. If you have credit sitting in your account, you can call HAL and ask them to apply it to a booking - I've done that. When I've called in for something, I've also had them say "you have $xx OBC available, do you want me to apply it?"
  14. Hey @Elaine5715Were you able to complete a purchase transaction? I'm having issues with the AARP website.
  15. Reading an actual book doesn't tire my eyes nearly as bad as reading on my phone, kindle, or computer. Sometimes it's just nice to take a break and let eyes go on vacation, too.🙄
  16. Does he have room for a person currently w/o a PVP?
  17. Was this offer better? If so, they really really want your cabin.
  18. When does Carnival send a check for refund and when do they issue it back to CC?
  19. I received for a cruise that had already made final payment. Always worth asjing, worst they can do is say no, and you're no worse off but they might say yes, then you've got $50. 🙂
  20. I didn't know that. Since it's a form of payment, I should be able to use with associate discount making it a nice discount. The 8% covers a lot of the tax in places that tax groceries. Let's see if that one works for me since the HAL aren't.
