  1. Absolutely correct - we do it every cruise. If you want, you can also cash out at GS vs having the unused amount credited to your CC.
  2. Important days today - best friends help us through a lot of things, life is better with 1 by our side 👣 My BFF lost her dad very suddenly to a brain tumor - he got a headache that he couldn't shake and 2 days later was gone. I'll pass on the meal (salmon & asparagus) and wine, but a Seabreeze sounds lovely, especially in this heat; not been to the port. Thank you @StLouisCruisers for the USS Liberty attack link. Thank you @ottahand7 for the wonderful news about the 4 hostages being found. Safe travels @aliaschief as you head home from your amazing adventure - I have really enjoyed your updates and beautiful pictures. Rangers ⚾ lost (again) last night, we have high hopes for the Mavs🏀 tonight. @ottahand7 I'll root for Sierra Leone and Seize the Gray 🏇 during the Belmont. Thanks to all who answered questions and provided info on kidney stones. @JazzyVI was not given a strainer to collect them, but would like to know what type they are. Would that have been detectable in the blood work that was done or only by examining the stones? I am out of pain and waiting for the next wave. Canceled today's massage (which is for the frozen shoulder) & Mon PT; we'll see about Tues. Currently 77° w/80% humidity headed to hot sunny 97° w/an Ozone Action Day in my county, so poor air quality - best to stay indoors. 🌧 returning Mon. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.
  3. Bon Voyage @Suslor⛴️🥳🥂 Bon Voyage @swin26⛴️🥳🥂
  4. That is beautiful!! DH is a big fan of pecan pie - I'm sure he would love it. Job well done!! When is CC fixing the smell-o-vision feature? It's sure needed here😊
  5. Very nice - thank you for sharing the picture and the explanation.
  6. Hugs 🤗 on DH situation. I understand you wanting to give him his time, but good thing you did hear some of his responses and good they called him to do the eval. When I went in, based on symptoms it was likely either appendix or kidney stones - I hoped for stones because I didn't want surgery. But in retrospect, that may have been a quicker, less painful experience. Scan quickly determined it was kidney stones. Ugh on giving up ice cream😪 Dr did mention diet changes, starting w/no soda - that's easy - haven't had one in 25+ years. I haven't read the full list; appreciate the heads-up on the ice cream. Do you know why? Is it the sugar?
  7. Oh my - I'd probably cringe every time I looked at. That is a gnarly looking rock - I can see why there was debris in the wound. Glad you got yourself some proper care and hope you continue to heal quickly.
  8. YES!! Krispy Kreme advised about today being NDD and sent a good coupon. I put the code in and it worked.
  9. I've always been able to use for any drink $11 & under.
  10. That's what I had on K'dam - the sideways interior - layout was great, space was roomy enough to get around, no awkward TV angle - it was at the end of the bed. Only downside was no sofa (not an issue for me).
  11. @smitty34877 @dfish yes - kidney stones. Scan showed one lower, which is source of current pain, several more forming higher up which Dr says will be source of future pain.
  12. I can also add support of Rome Airport Shuttles - we used them Nov & Dec last year w/o issues and would use them again. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
  13. As others said, yes, once onboard you can book just a transfer to FLL w/no tour. Taxis and shuttles are also readily available. If you're flying on a participating airline, Luggage Direct is available so you don’t have to mess w/your 🧳 no matter what transportation method you choose from port to FLL. Bonus is the overlimit fee is waived.
  14. 3 good days today - food safety is something we shouldn't have to worry about, it should just be. We have a working VCR as we've not converted tapes to digital but have thinned the tape collection to under a dozen. I am aligned w/Ms Kennedy's quote. Pass on the meal & the drink, would like to try the wine, not been to the port. Big day in history for Vatican City - they've sure been a trivia answer many times since then 😉 I was present for the Christmas tree 🎄 installation in Vatican City last year😎 Yesterday's plans changed quickly - the searing pain that woke me up at 4am settled into my right side and lower back. Urgent Care would not see me saying I had to go to the ER. Luckily there is an in-network ER hospital less than 2 miles from my house. If it was appendicitis they would have to transfer me; kidney stones they could treat. I was rooting for stones 🫣 So by 3:30, I had canceled both the OT & PT appointments as well the remaining work calls and was headed home w/4 Rx, an apology for the pain that was in my future & a signed authorization to excuse me from work for a week. Dr said let them know if I wasn't ready to go back then & they would amend the RTW date. I canceled today & Mon PT and will address the rest daily. I really need to keep Tues eye appt if possible; otherwise, that will be 3 missed procedures. I made it through 3 work calls before I told bossman I was done & setting on OOO; he was thrilled.🙄 Thank you everyone for the D-Day rememberances yesterday. Currently 73° w/79% humidity headed to 95° & 81% humidity. It's an Ozone Action Day, so take care when going outside. Rains return on Sunday. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.
  15. Last cruise I got CO, it was full when I booked the cruise; I asked about a wait list and was told there really wasn't one - they could add my name, but I wouldn't get a call back and it would not automatically be added - so is that really a waitlist? I called every day and one day following my roll call I saw someone canceled their cruise so I called in and sure enough there was 1 spot open so I was able to get CO and their former cabin. I say check back regularly and be ready on the spot w/your cabin choice (and back ups) if you're told there is an opening.
  16. Brutal game 1 for the Mavericks 🏀 straight up out played by Boston😪
  17. Oh gosh - so sorry. I hope they're able to make repairs quickly. Hugs and prayers.
  18. @Heartgrove thank you for sharing your fathers story, the medals, pictures & memorable and your memories; we do always miss them, don't we? Hugs @Quartzsite Cruiser thank you for the pictures and info on the museums. I am sharing the picture of The Big Red One museum w/DH as that was his unit and I'm sure he'll be humbled to see a museum for his brothers.
  19. I also thought conditions were perfect for a revival. The drive-in we went to does not have those individual car speakers - you tune your radio to a specific station (determined by the screen # you are watching) and listen to it that way. So no cleaning speakers, no worry of driving off w/the speakers or driving into a pole.
  20. Apparently I've lost my ability to read days of the week - rain expected to return Mon, not Wed.
