  1. In the letter, she said the website will be updated within 24 hours. We are on the July 30 cruise and are thrilled to have Dublin added.
  2. Twice that amount for me. Have offer for free suite, DOUE for two, and 1,000 in free play. We cruise about five times per year and mostly on Carnival. Our favorite offer is for the Elite cruises, usually a balcony, DOUE for both and 300 in free play.
  3. Safe travels home. Enjoyed your review and look forward to your Pride one. We sail the Pride in late July so will be following that review closely. One week from today we will boarding the Celebration!
  4. Thanks for this great live review. It was so much fun to follow. safe travels and hope those who are under the weather feel better soon. Thanks again.
  5. In a cabana, they will come around and ask if you want to order lunch. There is a set menu, but they have also offered to go to Shaq's or Guy's if that is what we wanted. I have only been in a Cabana, but agree with weezal that everyone in Loft 19 can order drinks from the servers.
  6. All the best to you and your wife. I hope she responds well to the treatments. Unfortunately, the cruise lines have always had this policy, and given their financials after the COVID shutdown, they are unlikely to make any exceptions.
  7. We just checked in for our 3/26 Celebration cruise and same. When going to print, it was just the boarding passes, those two pages of generic Carnival stuff, then our luggage tags. Weird.
  8. Have you tried to buy him a Cheers package online? I doubt they would allow that as he will not be 21 upon boarding. On day 2, you could go to Guest Services and purchase him the package. When you visit GS, make sure he is not flagged anymore in either system as being under 21. These are just my guesses, but what I would do. Good luck and enjoy your cruise. Your sons are lucky to have you!
  9. Why not make Loft 19 on the new MG class child-free? When we are paying $2,000 plus per week for a Loft 19 cabana, it would be much more pleasant to have a calm, relaxing environment. Plus there is really nothing for kids to do up there.
  10. Thanks for taking us along. Glad to hear you made it home safely. We are counting down the days until our turn - 20!
  11. everything else being equal, I might spend the extra dollars for an Elite, definitely not for a premier.
  12. If it's a cruise you would otherwise book (my last Premier was a Panama crossing), then I would say they are worthwhile. Note the casino will be packed, and there will be a lot of drawings for Premier cruisers only. You will get some nice extras (the night before the canal crossing, they left me a Panama hat and sunscreen in my cabin). So my bottom line is if a cruise I want to do is a Premier cruise, then yes, I would do it. Otherwise, I wouldn't go out of my way for a Premier cruise.
  13. On January 1, we actually walked out of Cucina on MG because they let us sit there for 20 minutes with no water, bread or even a greeting. The manager called us the next morning and made it right. But not how you want to start a New Year.
  14. Look for sales near the major holidays. Unlike Carnival, Royal has dynamic pricing and you can sometimes catch a deal on the dining packages, drink package, Wi-Fi, and excursions. Loved Allure and Mama Mia. Also enjoyed the Jazz Club. We booked the late Speakeasy and it was also fun, with many drinks included.
  15. I would also try to put the kids in a connecting room so there would be no issue with the drinks. But just for free drinks in the casino, not sure I would worry about it. The required points are pretty easy to obtain, and your wife could always order for you. More often than not, when I am getting free drinks in the casino and hubby is with me, they just bring him free drinks too.
  16. It's the second person in the cabin, but in your case, the onboard casino host would likely make an exception.
  17. Have to agree with Carnival and Royal. Celebrity and Holland never offered me much a value.
  18. Just received the casino host email for our upcoming elite cruise on March 24. Spa is no longer an option. Choices were one of two preselected shore excursions or a credit to book a shore excursion onboard for you and a guest, up to $150. Can’t tell if that is per person or not. Everything else seems the same, but there is a notice if you are cruising solo, only one bottle of alcohol and one set of mixers will be delivered.
