  1. It is beautiful just from the ship. The really nice thing about Alaska is that most ports are right in the tourist area so you walk off the ship right into the touristy port area. We did do excursions at every port but were able to do an excursion, re-board the ship for a late lunch and then pop back off to wander around the port area.
  2. Yes, I used the same us address for shipping and billing and I just used the zip code hack as above so it would match my credit card address.
  3. I did, I used my office address in the US but put the postal code without the letters and added 00 to them like you do at US gas pumps (eg T2P 2V6 becomes 22600 for the zip code) You could probably just use a random US hotel address for the street address as well.
  4. You HAVE to do Alaska! It’s such an amazing, beautiful, stunning cruise! I’ve done 2 and would go back tomorrow if I could!!
  5. I think @jam19872016 did a similar walk from A to B recently
  6. We have cruised twice to Alaska in May, both our cruises were beautiful weather, 70s to 80s at each port. In fact our last cruise to Alaska the only rain we saw all week was the cold, rainy weekend we spent in Vancouver before the cruise (it was a DCL cruise)
  7. We went to the SeaLife Aquarium at Icon Park last January. We have passes to our local Zoo which gave us 50% off of admission. It's so small we were through the aquarium in about 45 minutes or less. It was expensive at 1/2 price for the time we were there, I cannot imagine paying full price for it.
  8. I did! But I'm a Disney-girl at heart. My 4 cruises have all been on DCL, 3 prior to kids and 1 after 2 kids. All were amazing. There are plenty of adult only areas and amazing kids clubs and the specialty restaurants are all 18+ on Disney.
  9. The Dream is so pretty! I have only been on her sister ship the Fantasy but the Aqua Duck water coaster is fun if much slower than the name "coaster" implies.
  10. We officially booked Firenze for a 5 night cruise Nov 2024 so I enjoyed a look at our ports (Cabo and Ensenada) and I’ll be scouring Venezia reviews for the ship info.
  11. I play "spot the Disney Ship" in cruise reports. With the first picture I deduced it must be the Magic as she has taken over the West Coast cruises while the Wonder is in Australia. Your next picture confirmed it for me!
  12. It might be Canadian? I don’t know, I heard it and loved it, so I use it. I also call them Petri dishes, usually when they have carried some bug home and shared it with me! Ah, children!
  13. I am so excited as we are planning either a Paradise, Panorama or Firenze cruise for November. (Yes, I know one of those in in Florida... the plans are fluid and based on union vacation time and flight prices, and my parents ability and want to take my crotch goblins for 5 or 6 days)
  14. We did the Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's in Walt Disney World for our wedding dinner (only 10 people there) and it was SO MUCH FOOD! But so, so good! But imagine that much food in a wedding dress with stays and boning so nothing can expand
  15. Disney Cruise Line does this. Fares are lowest at release and increase as percentages of room categories sell. If there are rooms left close to sailing they discount them as guaranteed rates (inside, Oceanview and veranda) after the PIF date.
  16. She's so excited!😎 I'm looking forward to your review as we are looking at booking a Carnival cruise for next year and I have yet to read a review by anyone with kids close to my kids ages.
  17. Thank you! Now I’m wondering about the age demographic of the knitters… I’m a “young” knitter (late 30s) but I like knitting and socializing when I can.
  18. I want to ask you to attend activities when I see the daily activities... OOH Knitting go check it out and see if anyone is actually knitting! or Oh that lecture (Sea Turtles!) looks interesting!
