Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I like Dr Jart Ceramidin cream, i also like glossier rich moisturizer (it’s called a primer but feels fantastic on the face). If you want something even thicker, First aid beauty makes a thick ultra moisturing cream, and IT Cosmetics also makes a thick one. since I have combo skin I find at the extra rich ones make me break out a bit.
  2. On thé ship: makeup yes, nice clothes , no. at home: makeup depends on how I feel. For 34 years I have worn full face every single day unless I felt like I was dying. I did full face before going to give birth etc.!but I’m trying to relax a bit and get used to seeing my bare face without recoiling in horror. It’s a process. clothes- I would grunge out as usual.
  3. Cruise mom is correct. Night creams are thicker, richer, and may not play well with makeup. Some are so hydrating that you still feel tacky in the morning! Some day creams can double as night creams. But I wouldn’t use a gel cream if it needed to be double duty. Alternatively you could bring a hydrating primer for your day cream (like Bobbi Brown face base) and a night cream.
  4. I would say 4, only because I’m not a “shoe person”, and I don’t wear high heels or formal wear. On thé cruise in a couple weeks, I’m taking one pair sneakers, one pair casual waterproof slides for beach and mooing around in the room, one pair nice sandals, and one pair comfy but pretty sandals that also look good w wide leg pants .
  5. Hi there! First time cruiser to the Mediterranean in a couple weeks. I have chronic illness and “run hot”, and when I get hot it turns into nausea which can turn into worse. For that reason, I usually wear lightweight airy clothing. We are going to a few cathedrals in port which require: no shorts, no exposed shoulders, no midriff, dresses must fall to mid thigh. i will probably wear either a dress or capris , both with sleeveless top part. I have a scarf I picked up , I also have a lightweight but long sleeved cardi, but I’m considering purchasing a chiffon kimono style over shirt. however, they are very translucent. Would it still satisfy the requirement of “no exposed shoulders” if their outline can be seen through a light top? thank you! -Tara
  6. Thank you so much for your reply! i don’t suppose you happen to know why wifi isn’t showing up on either the app or the MSc web page? It showed months ago but I have checked every day for the last 2 weeks now that I’ve decided what to buy and to prepay and it is simply not there. There is photos, laundry and it completely skips wifi. I even tried to get in via a back door but I get an error message. At first I thought maybe they were updating the system or pricing but it’s been at least 2 weeks!! Should I call or keep waiting?
  7. Omg I would be so incredibly upset- that’s a very expensive oversight. We live in a border town and even then, when we go stateside I check for my passport like 6x before we leave, in the driveway, before we get on highway etc. I can’t imagine how compulsively I’m going to check before an international cruise.
  8. Please help! I am booked to go on the seaview April 14 to the Mediterranean. I am on “fantastica” which says free room service, free delivery, free mineral water, and names 4 complimentary restaurants (the 2 main DR and 2 buffets). I was reading another thread here which I cannot find, which stated that you are given a dining time and dining room for dinner, and cannot switch DR or time for the entire cruise. from what I see, Bella is the only ones truly “forced” and fantastica are given a time but they can change based on availability. if we are given a time (like 22:00!!) that will not work, what are the options? Simply room service or go without? For some reason, I was under the impression you could just stroll in to the buffets anytime and eat, whenever you’re hungry. Is this true ? Or is it only the main DR that have set times for dinner? thank you!
