  1. The XL has a larger bathroom, and some don't have hammocks. You can search for individual cabin quirks here: https://vvinsider.com/cabins/ The Rock Star Agents can take care of all your dining reservations. Most shows don't need reservations, and you can stand by the front of the line just by showing the crew member at the front of the line that you are a Rock Star. As it stands now, there is only 1 suite available for this sailing and it's a Brilliant Suite. (14277Z) We only went to RR a few times, and don't remember seeing anyone eating. It was hot & sunny, during a Caribbean sailing in May. As for the alcohol in your suite, I don't see why they couldn't remove it if that's what you want. You could always gift the bottles to any new friends you make.
  2. We are in our 60s and have sailed with Virgin 6 times already and have 5 more on the books. The short 4 and 5 day sailings on all lines tend to draw the party crowd, but it's real easy to enjoy yourself without partaking or even knowing the party's going on. Great food, the happiest crew at sea, and great musicians from all over the world.
  3. Lots of Ukrainian crew on the ship, all wonderful, hard working, kind people. Don't be afraid. For years I always wondered why I got along with the Ukrainian crew members whenever we cruised. My grandfather always told us that he was from Russia. Well thanks to the internet, I now know he was from Odessa, which was considered part of Russia when he was born in 1895.
  4. Last October, we arrived mid-week, three days before our cruise and there was zero wait.
  5. Currently transfers are not included when you book hotels via Virgin. Room upgrades are not possible either.
  6. In Miami you used to be able to, but I think they've cranked things down a notch to prevent that.
  7. There are plenty of luxury hotels besides those two.
  8. Barcelona is home to a wide variety of great hotels, most at better prices than what I'm seeing for these two properties. Is there any particular reason/advantage why you want to book your hotels via Virgin?
  9. The new benefits are now based on the length of your voyage, providing up to $250 off the Voyage Fare and up to $250 in Sailor Loot (OBC). Details here: https://vvinsider.com/my-next-virgin-voyage-placeholder-offer-reductions-revealed/
  10. We are staying at the H10 Art Gallery for our post-cruise stay later this fall. Their properties all seem very nice.
  11. I've read that some people have had success letting the spa attendant know at the outset that they don't want a sales pitch.
  12. Its a rank based on play. The below chart is from Virgin:
  13. We enjoyed the show and simply told our waitress that we weren't going to eat.
  14. They may have paid more for their original cabin initially, so even though they bid less than you did, they paid more overall. We successfully bid on a Mega Rock Star Suite from a standard Sea Terrace, but I had the advantage of knowing how many suites in that category were available compared to other categories. I believe it's considerably easier to get suites on the more common 4 and 5 day Caribbean sailings than the unique or less common itineraries. I won't specify the amount of our bid, but it was only considered poor or fair by the bidding meter.
  15. Here's a price comparison chart Virgin made a while back based on Caribbean sailings.
  16. I have found that the restaurants have been more accommodating than on other lines, as the food is cooked to order.
  17. Yes...it could easy feed 4 or more, unless you eat like bears. The pic below is just one plate, Pam had just as much on her plate!
  18. Another vote for Pink Agave.....it's a Rib Eye, smothered in sauce and covered with Mexican Cheese. 2nd place goes to Extra Virgin 3rd Place The Wake, although the 65 day dry-aged Tomahawk is pretty damn good, but a $75 up-charge.
  19. More likely folks who partied late.....lots of people probably had bar tab balances they needed to spend. The bar tabs are use it, or lose it.
  20. Indeed they are ❤️ Glad you are enjoying yourself!
  21. Virgin uses a contractor based in Orlando to handle Lost & Found items. They supposedly off load all found items at the end of each cruise into an Anvil case, and it is shipped to Orlando where the items are inventoried and compared to reports filed at: https://www.sailorslostandfound.com/ It took 2 or 3 weeks just for my lost item to get cataloged in the Orlando office, and the contractor's shipping rates were nuts. $35 to send a few ounces from Orlando to Atlanta with the Fedex Saver rate. I had 3 bottles of wine shipped the same method, the same day from Upstate NY for only $20. I suggested to Virgin that they find a new contractor due to my experience. It took a month and multiple phone calls for my item to finally be returned. Since your item was lost at Bimini, and not on your ship, it probably had to wait until the next ship came to port, and I wonder if your item was inventoried as coming from an entirely different ship/sailing date because of this, or if it made it to the ship at all. According to terms listed on the Lost & Found website, unclaimed items are sold after a certain number of days.
  22. Make sure you apply for the status match! https://www.virginvoyages.com/sailing-club#status-match
