  1. I assume that you are talking about one of the 7 day Caribbean cruises. Princess does tend to be a much quieter clientele. But it is college spring break so you may get some of those folks. But they usually aren't interested in Princess. The nightlife will have different events in different venues but none of them should be the over the top party type.
  2. Great review! Brought me back to our New Years Eve cruise. Thank you!!
  3. My tour guide is asking at which port we will be dock for our overnight in Copenhagen on Celebrity Apex. I guess there are two.
  4. I haven’t booked an excursion through the cruise line in years. Always book private excursions and have never been concerned about missing the ship. Well, we were concerned once in Florence but the guide got us back to the ship exactly when he said he would and it was still in time. And I’m a control freak. These types of things are exactly what I would normally worry about. “On time is late” is my motto. But we know that well respected tour companies would go out of business if their guides missed departure times.
  5. We book it just for the two of us (unless traveling with friends). Really get a personal experience.
  6. What the poster means is if there are only 100 slots for the 11:00 boarding time and as a suite guest I pick 11:00, does that mean that there are only 99 slots left and therefore one less for a non suite guest. Because a suite guest doesn’t need a slot, does that take an opportunity away from non suite passengers. Does the computer magic know that I’m in a suite and not deduct from the count. I’m curious too. I’m bring 9 suite guests with me and don’t want to spoil it for others.
  7. I will never do cruise sponsored excursion ever again. I’ve been using TBL almost exclusively for almost 10 years. Loved every single one except for maybe 2-3. Not sure what was “poorly informed” about the article.
  8. I know people rent a car and go off on their own but I find that a tour guide provides you so much more information than just looking at a building. The amount of history and folklore and personal stories we were given for our visit to Sagrada Família for instance could never have been read in a book.
  9. We haven’t booked a Celebrity excursion in years. We book exclusively with Tours by Locals. Every place we go, we go to their website first. We can also customize tours for what WE want to see. We set up 3 days of tours with the same guide in Amsterdam before getting on the Apex in June.
  10. Whether it’s “worth it” is up to you and your bank account. But I get the question. We normally stay in Aqua class on non-revolutionized ships. But always in a Sky Suite for the revolutionized one. Just our own preference. To use, the experience isn’t as special and my husband likes Blu. So we follow that rule on cabin choice.
  11. We have 6 cabins all together which makes it SO much easier! We will be opening the balcony doors so our meeting place is our one huge balcony.
  12. Actually I’m working on losing weight so I can wear some of my clothes again. It’s almost like shopping since it’s been a little while since I’ve fit in them. 🤪
  13. You are the cruise before ours. I’ve been trolling your roll call since ours is so quiet. We miss each other again!
  14. Yes! I have scheduled some “free time” as well. 🤪 Definitely have not over planned the cruise itself. I have a loose schedule for where to eat lunch and which bar for cocktail hour but it’s just an informal guide. Something to help me hit every venue but it’s not a fixed schedule.
  15. I’ve only sailed Princess and Celebrity but here is why I’m switching: You ask some for something as simple as a glass of water… Princess - “Yes” Celebrity - “Of course” A very simple difference but means everything in the service level.
  16. You think the country is going to explode. I can still plan vacations
  17. I’m going to be herding the cats for 7 days. Hopefully the retreat hosts will help me.
  18. There you go! I like it!😝 and I think I’ve watched every Apex on the internet!! I think I need some professional help!
  19. Just trying to have some fun on here. I can’t read another post about the limited dinner buffet!
  20. They wouldn’t change it two months before sailing, would they?!? Those are usually planned a lot farther in advance. And an Atlantis cruise would give me TONS to do! There are so many themed parties, I would be shopping for outfits for days!! And you must be referring to pre 2004 Red Sox Fans. We’ve won 4 World Series and had 20 years of Tom Brady. We are Title-Town baby!! Check out the Bruins and Celtics right now! 🤪
  21. Planning hubby’s 60th for March and I’ve run out of things to do. We are taking 7 of our friends with us. Everything is planned including hotels and even our dinner reservation the night before the cruise. Car service (for 9!) to Port Everglades is booked. Specialty restaurant for his actual birthday reserved. All port events all planned. I have even booked all our private tours for our June Baltic cruise. I’m going stir crazy with nothing cruise related to do!! I even started looking at private tours for our April 2024 cruise until I realized that’s absurd. Cant check in for another week. How do I satisfy my cruise obsession?!? 😍🤪😚
  22. The only time you ever need your cruise card is when you are getting off or on the ship. Then they scan it. Otherwise, you don't need it. Oh, and to open your cabin door. Keeping it your pocket is perfectly fine.
